SPA was very limited. but enough for short stay. Room was as we expected. Great location, close to Rotorua downtown but quite, close to main attractions in the region. Easy access to the beach and walking path

Very week internet access in our room. Selection of breakfast and dinner menues very poor. It is better to organize more cost effective buffet breakfast and extend menue for the dinner. Extra charge for Credit cart payment was quite a surprise - never sow something like that, BOOKING.COM should put the information about this.

The view was beautiful, dinner was lovely we ordered to our room. I had the seafood chowder twice it was that good. a few of the facilities mentioned online actually weren't in working order. Staff are lovely and helpful. Place was clean and it was quiet which was nice to come home to after a big day of exploring. Had lots to explore close by and you can walk the lake.

Not much to not like it could do with a make over though. Very stuck in the past and lots of things broken and worn out.

The location by the lake was scenic. We enjoyed sitting outside on the outdoor setting as a family. It was great having access to a washing machine and dryer. Room was comfortable.

The property needs maintenance - regrouting in shower recess, spa, sauna area needs revamping, grass around pool needs mowing.

I must admit , saw some less than positive reviews recently for this place, but was pleasantly surprised. On arrival check in was quick and efficient, receptionist was friendly and helpful, we were shown to our room and told about the trout flies. Hotel was clean and looked smart, pool area was well kept. Lovely location on the lake but a drive into town (which I knew when booking) Rooms a short walk from the Car Park. Room was lovely, pretty large, very clean and decorated smartly, smelt fresh. Bed was comfy , large tv, fridge and a clean bathroom with a good powerful, hot shower. We ate in the restaurant, had the chicken, food was delicious and large portions. Slight mix up over the wine, which was a bit slow coming(didn’t have our first choice) Wasn’t bothered by and didn’t really notice the trout flies. All in all great stay.

Need to tidy up the “working / laundry area that is used as an additional entrance when reception is closed. Assistance with bags would have been a plus.

I absolutely loved my room 21, private end room overlooking the lake with a balcony. The guy there at reception that greeted us was on point, he was on the bar, restaurant and served us tea, he mentioned he was only there for a week, he deserves credit for all he does. I ordered seafood chowder entree but received seafood chowder main where he didn't charge me full price as the chef who is new made a mistake. I had a good stay. Thanku 😀

Mattresses and bed bases outside on lawn in front of rooms and the carpet was still damp from being carpet cleaned. Also some power points didn't work.

The room was a good size and the bed comfortable. Quiet too despite the tour group on the second night. Lovely location. The desk staff were very friendly.

2 things happened. First, when we were given the key to our room we opened it to find it had not been made up. The admin staff member was very apologetic and had another room right away available for us. Second, on arriving back to the room after a day out the cleaning staff had been in and not only had they left the door unlocked, it was also ajar. Once again the admin staff member was apologetic. The cleaning staff just need to be more on the ball - an unmade room is nothing much but leaving a guest's door open is a bit of a security breach. However, I would stay there again and would recommend it to other travellers.

It was absolutely splendid and located in such a wonderful spot of Rotorua. My hubby and I spent our honeymoon here in the superior suite which was spacious, clean and cosy with a comfortable king bed and wonderful spa bath. The staff were lovely and the atmosphere there was warm and welcoming. I am a lover of sunsets and didn't know until we arrived, of the spectacular clear and perfect view you get to see of the sunset from the facility. We didn't get a chance with the sauna, jacuzzi, dining or massage treatment that they offer due to our own arrangements but we look forward to doing so in a warmer season. I highly recommend this place to relax and unwind. We will certainly stay here over and over again. Thank you Wai Ora. 10/10 🫶

Right on the lake.

The pools were very small (tiny) and not clean or warm which was disappointing

The location is great. There wasn’t breakfast offered. We were very happy with the Vietnamese young lady, she was very helpful for any question we may have. On the contrary, there was a younger girl (who appears a local, she was very unhappy when question was asked and referred us to search on Google? We were very interested in knowing the Māori culture but instead we couldn’t find any helpful information until it was too late when we passed a Māori center???

We hope to be advised by the local community.

Everything it was an amazing stay, Beautiful Kai worth every cent spent 😋😄 my baby was so comfortable and happy she enjoyed her cot, and she settled so well, we would definitely be booking again in the future and will be coming back, Great location lake view and the staff was so amazing, super quick with the room service and the food! Omg was soooo good, beautiful and nice and hot when food arrived to room, the spa was soo good 👍 baby enjoyed all the bubbles hahaha but yes great place would definitely recommend to others and family thank you 😊
