Our room was lovely Room 3, with a comfy double bed and had a lovely view across the estuary. The shower was good with plenty of hot water. The facilities were clean and there was plentiful tea, coffee and milk provided with the kettle and mugs. The breakfast choices were very good and the breakfast very yummy! The situation is excellent being in the heart of the town. It is very dog friendly too.

The check in was chaotic as you have to use the bar, which was extremely busy. The shower was over a bath which was slippery so had to be careful getting in and out. The parking is not reserved for hotel guests which makes it difficult if you have heavy cases and cannot park there, but have to find parking elsewhere in the town.

We booked last minute realising a wedding was further away than we thought and were so glad we ended up at Ye Olde White Harte Hotel. There's a lovely pub downstairs, with many rooms upstairs. We had the shared bathroom facilities option and didn't encounter any problems at all. The hotel is also right on the waterfront meaning you have an exceptional view whenever you leave/ come back to the hotel. Breakfast was included and it was lovely. We spoke to a member of staff who said it had been in her family for 65 years and we hope it goes for at least another 65.

We were happy with everything.

Loved this place. Friendly welcome, clean and comfortable room oozing rustic charm with a smart modern ensuite. Our room had a view of the river. The pub has a great atmosphere with lovely outdoor seating and cozy indoor seating. Good cask ales and wine by the glass or bottle. We had a Sunday roast dinner which was delicious with fresh vegetables and lashings of tasty gravy. In the morning we had an enjoyable breakfast cooked to order. All the staff were friendly and attentive.

As others have mentioned the steep stairs to the room are a challenge but ok for us and worth it for the view!

Essex accommodation is more expensive that other areas of the UK and we were on a bit of a budget. The hotel is in a beautiful location, right by the river Crouch and has a large bar that I imagine spills out onto the front in warm, sunny weather. The building itself is old and probably has many stories to tell and as a consequence the accommodation has to fit in around this. We took two rooms on a corridor with a shared bathroom and toilet. This was absolutely fine. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. There was limited space within the room but with the bar and position, we didn't want to be in there except to sleep. The staff are fantastic, very welcoming, friendly and quite prepared to pass the time of day when not busy. The breakfast was excellent with a range of traditional english options. It gets busy at breakfast becasue of non-residents wanting to eat too. The atmosphere is not formal but more homely. Limited car parking at the rear but always a space.

Liked it all because it is a family run hotel and bar and it's old and charming, the hotel today fits in the same space and layout as the inn of yesterday. It is what it is and I can't find anything negative to say. I would/will go back without hesitation.

Nice clean warm room, super comfy double bed. I took one of the cheap rooms that didn't have ensuite, but did have a sink in the room as used to be common. The toilet was just down the corridor and washing facilities across the corridor, fine for me. They do have rooms with ensuites I believe. Decor is old fashioned, but tidy and clean. Who cares if the wallpaper isn't fashionable and up-to-date? Staff were very friendly, check-in was available from midday which was very helpful, and the food was absolutely excellent. The best burger and fries I've ever eaten for lunch, a superb venison steak for dinner, and the perfect full English for breakfast, the breakfast included in the price (which I hadn't expected). Next time I'm back in Burnham I'll definitely be staying here.

Location of the hotel is excellent, I was down for a course along the front but the hotel is right near the Main Street so you can get to anything else quickly. The food was superb, and compared to London prices, a bargain - I even started looking house prices. The breakfast included was also great, and you have a bit of a view out to the river. Also, the staff were all very friendly and helpful; getting an iron that sort of thing. Room was kept clean and fresh and was very clean when I arrived

Only thing would be more hangers in the wardrobe I had brought a couple of my own so could double up but really a tiny issue and did not affect my stay in any way

The hotel location was excellent .our room was on the front and the views were amazing. The staff serving breakfast were polite friendly and attended to all our needs.

Our room was clean and tidy . Just needed a chair and glasses for the water. Shower room was small. The stairs to the room was on a higher level and were a bit precarious and needed to really take care as they were steep. Would be a struggle for older people as it's an attic room ok as we're not really tall.

Here for a family birthday nearby and stayed Saturday to Bank holiday Monday. Claire, Abbie, Chelsea and all staff were amazing! Thank you We had a number of rooms, some with shared bathroom and some ensuite and all happy. Food also excellent. Breakfast and an excellent Sunday Roast in the evening! Will definitely be back :)

Ask to avoid the top floor if difficulty with stairs as these are steep.

Excellent value for money. Not only were the staff obliging and welcoming but the bedrooms were well furnished, facilities spanking clean and the breakfast was included, contrary to what it said on Booking. Com. The pub is right on the water so you have the views and as well as great dinners in a lovely atmosphere, even on a Sunday night when it's difficult to find anywhere serving beyond early evening in the area.

Going!

Fabulous Hotel with so much atmosphere. We had a large and bright room recently refurbished overlooking the waterfront. The restaurant food was excellent and the staff were very efficient and pleasant. To mention Claire, Abby and Chelsea. They worked so hard to make everything run smoothly.

The stairs up to the 3rd floor rooms may be challenging for some guests as very steep
