Beautiful pub with good drinks selection food offers and when we stayed entertainment. Free car parking for guests which is good and the breakfast was great I'd also recommend paying more for the cooked breakfast this was very good quality food and excellent taste Beds are very comfy and rooms are compact with all you need
Rooms are very warm and the fan doesn't help cool it down would benefit from the air con unit or better cooling facilities especially in the warm weather. The pillows have a plastic cover that makes you sweat

It’s my another stay here and I love absolutely everything about it. It’s very close to the local shops - just across the road there’s Coop, Lidl and Tesco. You can also order Indian food just opposite the hotel, pizza and amazing Birds Bakery with cookies and coffee. The hotel itself is lovely and convenient. I had breakfast every single day, brown toast and pastries, yoghurt and a pot of tea, but you can choose a lot more. Also cooked breakfast. The food is delicious and portions are huge - I tried a few options for dinner like baked potato with veggie chilli top or classic fish & chips or ciabatta with pesto and tomato - all are fresh and delicious!!!! The room number 4 I stayed in is just perfect size, there’s a double bed, small table with a kettle and 2 cups, you can brew tea or coffee. There are also 2 mirrors in the room and a small wardrobe behind one of them. The view from the room is on High Street. The bathroom is clean and 2 sets of towels are provided. As well as toiletries. What surprises me every time I stay there is that the towels can be changed every day, the bed is done and the additional tea and coffee and sugar is brought. There a “beer garden” in front of the hotel, I lived sitting there in the morning and work with my laptop. It’s also relatively close to the Rolls-Royce Campus if you need to get there to work onsite. The service is great, everyone is helpful and polite and super friendly. I love chatting with them and asking for advice as they will always help me, no matter what I asked about. :) Oh, and as I go there on my business trips, I always ask for the board and iron and it’s always in my room so that I can prepare to work properly. I love the place, People there and when in Derby again - that will be place to stay for sure. ❤️

Staff were friendly and welcoming including the door security even though we arrived on a busy Saturday evening. Shown to our room and the check out times and breakfast times were clearly explained. Room and en-suite was beautifully clean and cosy, all towels and bedding were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The downstairs bar had entertainment on which did not disturb our evening or sleep, we could not hear it in our room. Breakfast was very nice and there was a great choice, we opted for cereal but we were offered toast and pastries. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to others. Owners and staff should be very proud

The Staff were very friendly and helpful right from the carpark. When we couldn't work out which door to enter, they came out and escorted us in. The food was good. There was a great atmosphere in the pub below. However if we'd wanted a quiet weekend it would have been a little noisy, everything was all finished at 23:00. We loved the atmosphere though.
The breakfast was continental or buy off the menu. This was pointed out by a message from the property before arrival but I would have preferred to know when I booked.

I travel to the East Mids once a month for work so the location is perfect for me as it's only a couple of minutes off the A50. This was my first stay at The Lawns and I was so impressed I have booked my stays for the rest of this year. The room was small but very comfortable and clean, plenty of tea, coffee and milk to make drinks. A bath and plenty of piping hot water to have a soak after driving from the North East. Very quiet room even though it's above a pub, I had a great nights sleep. There was a curry special night in the restaurant so I had a very tasty chicken madras and a pint for £9.99, which was definitely value for money. All of the staff were friendly and the continental breakfast was excellent. What more can I say!
Absolutely no complaints at all!

Nice little double room for the price. Bed was comfy, shower nice and big. Room and hall was clean. Very cheap drinks in a pub downstairs and very good choice.
"Continental breakfast" included in price was just some juice, milk, cereals and fruits, but we have ordered full English for £9.99 done in a air fryer, which would be nice on any other day as we were hangover form the night before and needed some grease.

Stayed for one night on our way back to Yorkshire from Norfolk. Arrived about 5pm and whilst it’s a busy pub/hotel got a parking space with no problem. ?Billy checked us in and showed us to our room on first floor and carried one of the cases. (No lift) The room was by no means ‘luxurious’, was compact but perfectly adequate for a short stay. Both room and bathroom were clean with nice toiletries. Plenty of tea/coffee/milk. The complimentary breakfast next morning was lovely with cereals, yogurt, toast, croissants and fresh fruits and is served till 11am! I’d say the biggest asset of this hotel is the staff, Billy and everyone else from bar staff to breakfast staff were very cheerful and helpful. Would stay here again if in the same situation and just needing somewhere to break up a journey home
More sockets difficult to dry hair in front of a mirror

Close to were we needed to be, and quote central to get around .Wpuld definitely stay there again , good value for money . An added bonus the live music Friday and Saturday night was also amazing , even though we we really tired we could lay in bed and enjoy the music 🎶

Really lovely greeting g when we checked in. All staff were really helpful. Mist number of quality premium beers on offer. The food menu choice was brilliant and the food was really great. Continental breakfast was really great this morning.
Room was warm but it was particularly hot day and they did have a fan in room to use, nothing more they could have done

Really nice atmosphere in the pub and the rooms are well enough away from the road and potential pub noise. I had a good evening meal and a good continental selection. It was also good to have breakfast available before 8am
The shower was quickly variable from hot to cold and back again so not sure if it was on a pump system. Also the room lock was really difficult to lock and unlock and needs some attention
