This hotel is in the perfect location for walking around Palermo Soho, right on Malabia St., between Gorriti and Honduras, with main bus lines within two blocks, on Scalabrini Ortiz and Thames. I had Room 101, which was so beautiful, quiet, stylish and spacious, with a high vaulted ceiling that made it seem even more enormous (so unusual for a boutique hotel)! Samantha on the front desk was super helpful, and the included breakfast was simple, but consistently fresh and nicely displayed. As a single female traveller I always felt welcome, comfortable and safe here.
Nothing! This was the perfect hotel for me to spend five nights enjoying some shopping and dining during the last few days of my annual trip to Argentina. I have been visiting every year for thirty years, and I never stay in the same place twice, but I will definitely be back to Sissi Haz!

The location was great and very safe - in the central Palermo-Soho district. It was easy to get about - we even walked into the centre of BA even though it was 5-6km, however the receptionists can always book you a cab of you can use the cabify app to get around. Samanta was able to recommend places to eat and made sure we had a taxi arranged for our journey back to the airport when we checked out. We had a large double room overlooking the street - the style of the hotel and the room was really beautiful and authentic - much more personal than a room in a chain hotel. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean, the shower was strong, the aircon and wifi worked well. The breakfast buffet had a small but very good selection of food.
At the time we were there (mid November 2024) there was major construction work in the block next door to the hotel. During Monday-Friday the work starts at exactly 7.00am and is very noisy until it finishes at around 5-6pm. For us this was not a problem as we were getting up at 7am anyway to go out and enjoy Buenos Aires, but if you like to sleep a little longer, you may need to consider somewhere else until the construction is completed (this is obviously not the fault of the hotel, but may be an important consideration for some visitors).

Absolutely charming! The location in Palermo SoHo is ideal, the front desk was always staffed and the front door always locked. My immaculate very large room looked over the tranquil interior courtyard. In a world drowning in AirBnBs, this a small boutique hotel with welcoming hosts, there 24/7! It’s a keeper!
Not a problem for me but be aware: The stairs are narrow. If you have mobility issues or a large suitcase, there is a downstairs room — perhaps request that. So that’s not a “dislike”. — more of an “alert.” I enjoyed Sissi Haz and would definitely return.

They demanded an increase of approximately 10% if payment was made by credit card, which I was never alerted to by the host. I understand the dramatic economic situation in Argentina, but I should have been informed of this at the time of booking.

Location in a mixed residential and commercial area provided convenience as well as a delightful glimpse into life in that area. Walkable distance from several attractions. Hotel owners and staff were absolutely lovely in conversation, and offered useful suggestions and assisted in arranging activities for non-Spanish speaking guests.
Distance from subway stations - subway system really does not serve this neighborhood, but busses do (and of course, taxis, Uber, and Cabify).

This is a lovely small hotel situated in a safe and popular area of Buenos Aires. There are lots of good restaurants, bars and cafes in the area within walking distance. The road on which it is situated is relatively quiet and some rooms look into the very quiet courtyard at the back. The courtyard is full of plants and if the weather is good you can sit out for breakfast etc . The hotel is very quiet. We were there 5 nights and we're only bothered by noise on one occasion The room was spacious and very comfortable. There were plenty of places to put your things, table and chairs and a safe. Everything worked in the bathroom and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast was a range of cold food plus eggs to order and coffee. The staff were especially welcoming and friendly and offered lots of information and help. I had asked them to arrange for a bouquet of flowers to be waiting in the room as we arrived. A birthday present for my wife. The staff didn't fail. A beautiful bouquet was there as requested. I couldn't have asked for more. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Buenos Aires. There is cheap Uber transport anywhere around the city to take you to other places of interest. Having seen other districts of this city, I think this little hotel is certainly in the best and safest area. It is also very good value for money.
Just on one occasion four other guests returned to the hotel about midnight making lots of noise and shouting with little concern for anyone else. In a small guesthouse noise carries a long way. In the end I had to get up and dressed to go downstairs to the reception area to ask them to be quiet. Of course this isn't the hotel's fault.

The location is excellent … right in the centre of the Soho region of Palermo … the best area to stay when in Buenos Aires …. It’s an old part with cobbled roads and so much character … walking distance to many restaurants, coffee shops, laundry and much more. The owners are very sweet (even though they cannot speak any English). I must have had the best room in the guesthouse because it looked like the only one on the ground floor …. It was a lovely large bedroom and just as large a bathroom with shower … the guesthouse is quaint and looks almost Swiss with its shutters. I’m pleased that I wasn’t on the second floor with my knee and leg problems as the staircase is quite steep and narrow.
The breakfast was very basic and limited with 2 types of cereals, toast, jam, one or two different pastries and some whole fruit. I was not aware that I would need to ask for scrambled eggs.

Simple and very good breakfast with fresh orange juice, eggs to order, sliced meats, sliced, sliced cheese, fresh fruit bowl, coffee, tea, milk, cereal, toast and a breakfast staff to wait on you. Perfect way to start the day.
Our travel arrangements required a lengthy period of time for us to wait. Being older our group wasn't able to walk around or tour the city all day and then catch a near midnight flight home. This facility lacks a public lounge area that would have been nice to have available. However, the facility does have a small garden area with tables and chairs for you to relax as long as it isn't too hot or raining. I would recommend booking an extra nights stay if you have a late flight connection and enjoy your large room and get some sleep if needed. Our only regret was not booking one extra nights stay for this reason.

The front desk employee's were very helpful, advising on tours and restaurants. The day We checked out, the young lady was very helpful, in getting us a taxi to the airport, after the first one did not show up as booked. She went out to the street and spoke to the driver ( in Spanish) the price. Sorry I did'nt remember her name, she worked the afternoon shift.
At first even the taxi driver thought he had the wrong address when we arrived from the airport. There is no lobby, until the staff open the door.A sign would help us tourist find the hotel.
