Great Location by Shinlin Market, Hotel very clean and room is spacious. There’s a young gentleman at the front desk that was really nice, helpful and supported us from booking taxi, translation when we call airport to request wheelchair for our next flight, and went beyond to check if our Taxi is able to cancel without being charge. Cleaning service was very helpful to my parent who is over 70s.

Most of the front desk are not very friendly when ask for help, the way they answer makes me feel that I should leave them alone. Example, when I ask to cancel my booking to taxi drop off airport, the staff (girl) said “you have to pay because you book, you can’t cancel” I said the ride won’t be until tomorrow why I can’t cancel, all she said “no you have to pay, you can’t cancel” I was ..so that is why the young gentleman jump in and initiate call the Taxi and ask, after he’s off the phone and try to type on his phone for exact translation of what the Taxi said, the girl said “you can cancel and no pay” ….The translation from his phone shows “if you cancel within the day then there’s a charge, but cancel before the day, no charge”

This was a nice place to stay, but the building is older and has the feel of an older building. The room had good snacks, body wash and shampoo; however you need to bring your own hand soap and there are no toletries if you forget something (there"s a sign that says this is due to a Taiwanese law).Also, our room needed a good vacuuming. and had what appeared to be, either dust or mold in the bathroom around vent and window. I chose to think it was dust ;-). The staff was great and very helpful.

The hotel location is great, close to the MRT station and the Shilin Night Market, a Louisa's Coffee, Family Mart and 7 Eleven really near, many restaurants right on the street by the hotel. 2 laundromat within walking distance. The staff are wonderful and bilingual to a degree, rooms are clean and comfortable, though the beds are a little stiffer than I'd like, they were still comfortable to sleep on. The cleaning staff are on hand every day to clean and change out the linens, they are very attentive and do a great job!! Overall, for the month long stay we did at the Star Beauty Hotel, it was lovely, pleasant and a great experience. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel for your trip to Taiwan.

I can highly recommend Star Beauty as a place to stay – location is great, close to transport and riverside with nice parks and plenty of food options right nearby. Staff were absolutely fantastic, helping us with so many things – I really cannot thank them enough. I stayed in three different room types and all were great, with the larger ones definitely worth the extra money. Housekeeping was a bit patchy – a few things could’ve been slightly better cleaned – but overall this was superb place to stay and I definitely would be happy to stay again. Excellent value for money.

This 3 star hotel gave me more than some of 5 star hotels I stayed. The rooms are satisfying, staff very helpful, facilities fully satisfying to me, etc. In general, better than I could expect. This is why, when I am in Taipei, I book this hotel.

Music played at the corridor, even at night. However, when I asked them to switch off, they did.

Close to Jiantan Metro Station with the famous Shilin Night Market a few minutes walk away. Room was clean and modern. Bath tub was a bit small but nice to have anyway. Window was out to a busy street so some noise and car exhaust gas if you open the window.

The room is great and clean and exceeded our expectations. The place is just walking distance to Shilin Market, Family Mart, 7/11 and restaurants are just around the corner. All the front desks were very helpful specially in calling taxi for us. Check in and check out are also smooth, we would be more grateful if they allowed us to check in early, cause we arrive at around 12noon, they allowed us to leave our luggage and be back by 3pm to check in, though they allowed us by 230pm. I highly recommend this place.

room is clean, fair size considering it’s in the city. close to the MRT and night market. friendly and helpful staff. coffee machine in the lobby is great! Convenient location for food. Short bus ride to the amusement park and education center.

Very comfortable hotel in a great location. Even though the hotel does not provide a crib, it's right across the street from an excellent playground for kids. Plenty of restaurants (breakfast, lunch AND dinner) and a Family Mart within walking distance. It's also a 10 minute walk from the Shilin Night Market. The jacuzzi tub was fantastic. And the mattresses were actually the most comfortable on our trip. There is parking available, but it's limited. You give the car keys to the front desk and they give you a card that you will return to them when you need the car back. They park the car for you on the side of the hotel.

Relatively close to the metro station; hotel was visible from the metro station due to the large sign on the side of the building. Rooms were larger than most in Taipei and the bathroom was properly separated.

Furnishing were a little bit dated.
