The staff was very friendly and helpful. The manager has arranged an early check in and pick up from the airport. The reception staff was very helpful to book a taxi for airport transfer early in the following morning. The apartment is modern and super clean with good Wifi. Beautiful roses in the front yard, peaceful surroundings! The beds were great, comfy . The bathroom and kitchenette were well equipped and very clean. There were heaters and fans, the room temperature was right. The location is very close to Christchurch airport and Woolworths supermarket and a few fast food restaurants

This would have to have been the cleanest and one of the best equipped places we have stayed in in NZ for motel/unit type accommodation. We have been to Christchurch regularly over the last few years and have stayed in hotels close to the Airport for a night before or after dropping off our hire car and flying. This motel will be our new first choice. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. I was also impressed with the efforts for recycling (clearly labelled bin in the room) and sustainability in bathroom products. Thankyou !

Very comfortable room with some nice touches. The free laundry room was a real bonus and they even provide washing powder, a great service.

The hotel advertise a free pick up service from the airport but gave us the wrong telephone number to contact them on so we had to get a taxi instead. The guy on reception (the owner) was completely uninterested and unapologetic when we told him what had happened. He has absolutely no customer service skills. PLEASE NOTE - the great customer service reviews relate to the previous owners!!

Very nice smaller motel, modern and well appointed. we found it just right for an overnight stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was hot and the TV worked well! The environment was surprisingly quiet, and our short stay there prior to flying home to Tasmania was in all ways excellent. Highly recommended for its convenience (quite close to the airport) and excellent value for money. Very helpful and friendly proprietor who gave me perfect advice on where to go to wash and clean our hire car and refuel it prior to returning it to the hire car company (also nearby!)

The only slight negative might be that the rooms do not appear to have air conditioning, so it could be rather hot at some times of the year. Some rooms have very small parking spots, so larger vehicles might be difficult to accommodate.

The owner/manager has high standards for his property, customer service and professionalism. NG and his staff are there to answer questions and be of assistance. The grounds and rose gardens are lovely too. It's close to the airport to return the rental car and the manager drove us back to his motel afterwards. From there we used Uber to go the railroad. Also, there's a very good restaurant across from the motel.

Staying longer!

We'd stayed in this motel 10 years ago and it was perfect back then and still is now. The staff are friendly and helpful, communication was excellent. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and the location is very convenient for the airport. There was a little bit of road noise, but otherwise we had a quiet stay. We were able to park our car right outside our apartment, and the nearest supermarket was only a few minutes away.

The hotel has a very good location. It takes only 5-min drive to the airport and 20-min drive to the city center. The room is big and clean. The heater is very warm. It is very important in cold winter Ivan is a very helpful and friendly staff. He helped us a lot during our stay.

One drawback is it does not provide 24-hour self-service laundry. When we went back the motel, the laundry has already closed.

Comfortable motel close to the airport. We chose this motel mainly because we were able to leave our vehicle there while we were away on holiday (at less cost than the airport car-parks), plus they had an airport shuttle bus. Staff were very helpful and rooms had all the facilities we needed.

Good location for the airport but not if you want to be close to the city centre. Would have been nice if the shuttle bus operated 24/7 because if you have a flight that arrives or departs very early or very late you have to get a taxi.

Our stay at The Airport Palms was exceptional, the owners went out of their way to help us in all areas, they gave us advice where to visit with 3 young children it was invaluable. My granddaughter was throwing up and they helped us with towels and a bucket so we could clean the carseat etc. The room was clean and updated, we were given extra towels , it also had everything we needed. I rarely give great reviews but this place is awesome.

The "one-bedroom apartment" we booked was modern, spacious, well equipped, quiet and clean, perfect for a short stay around the airport. The private parking place right in front of our unit was super to unload/load the car fast and efficiently. Communication with the owner was efficient and comprehensive.

The bed was very (too) soft. The standing fan to help cooling the place down (as there is no air conditioning) is quite loud. Still a very good price-value!
