The breakfast supplies were fantastic—such a great variety, and honestly, far more than we could eat! The location was absolutely superb, tucked away in the rainforest with the soothing sound of the Johnstone River rushing just below our deck. It was quite chilly during our stay, so we made good use of the pot-bellied stove each night, with fresh firewood thoughtfully restocked daily. We especially loved the large spa bath with its stunning view of the rainforest, and all the luxurious little touches from our hosts made the stay feel really special. A truly beautiful property!

A second-to--none location, and a stunning property, with amazing hosts who are there if you need them but leave you with complete privacy otherwise. The glorious cabin faces over the river and rainforest, in the opposite direction to the owner's house. The cabin is equipped with excellent examples of everything you need and numerous extra touches that really go above and beyond. The breakfast items provided are varied and plentiful (served us for both breakfast and lunch for each of our 3 days there!). The physical location is perfect, so close to Lake Eacham and an easy drive to Malanda, Yungaburra or Atherton. We're so pleased we found and were able to book Sharlynn. Don't hesitate!!

Very well appointment rustic and romantic cabin with a wonderful private outlook and a lovely short walk to the adjacent river. The attention to detail was a standout and the breakfast beautiful and plentiful and locally sourced. The location is central and great for Atherton tableland exploration.

There was nothing to dislike. If I could recommend to add another shower screen to the shower to avoid excess water on the bathroom floor.

We had a thorougly enjoyable stay at Sharlynn by the River. The accommodation was excellent and provided everything we needed, and the gardens and creek were just paradise. We were also totally spoiled with a great selection of breakfast goodies and extra treats in the fridge. Pam and John are delightful hosts, and we totally recommend a stay with them if you love nature, a peaceful environment and a luxury cabin.

We couldn't fault anything.

We have never stayed in such a clean and well appointed place!! Everything was provided for... food for breakfast, fruit, robes, slippers...we even got a vase of fresh flowers! All the items for breakfast were of top local quality... and so very, very nice!!! You can hear the little river from the back deck while you sit in very comfortable deck chairs.... there is bird life all around you in the rain forest, which is just meters away. Very tranquil!

There was absolutely not a single thing to not like about this place or our hosts! Everything was exceptional!!!

We had a fantastic stay at Sharlynn by the River as a group of 3 friends. This property definitely exceeded our expectations. Thanks to John and Pam for being very accommodating, we really enjoyed the morning coffee and breakfast. The cabin is very comfortable and the decking around it is beautiful. Sadly, did not see any tree kangaroos, we loved out stay by the river. A great base to explore the Atherton tablelands and chill out.

We loved our stay at Sharlynn by the River. The cabin had everything you need, and John and Pam (and Charlie the dog) are excellent hosts. The breakfast foods such as yoghurts, milk, coffee and jam were all locally produced (and delicious). It was an easy drive to lake Eacham and Barrine, and Yungaburra. We also had some tasty pizza in Malanda. Thank you for an amazing and relaxing stay!

Loved the location and accomodation. Our hosts John and Pam were excellant nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast goods and local produce very ample, didn't want for anything. Learn't a few tips and tricks to living in a wet tropical environment.

Nothing, wish I had learnt how to play guitar. Didn't bring enough film for my camera. Really would like to have used fire place, need to go in winter next time,

We loved how relaxing, comfortable and private this stay was. The attention to detail for every need, plus extras that made our stay magical. The breakfast food supplied was through their farm and local produce which added that extra touch. The sound and sights of the rainforest and river, the decking, private veranda and viewing deck. The fireplace and also the spa bath... The robes and complimentary port before bed. The owners are very passionate about their property and hosting. The dog (Charlie) is so adorable.

Excellent home away from home!! with very cosy, warm, and private surroundings. Pam & John really take care and welcome their guests really well (with only one guest group taken up at any time). The cabin was located in a natural private rain forest resort with river and birds chorus in the background. The cabin was very well equipped with top rated fittings and appliances and loaded with all the goodies from local organic fruits and dairy supply. We, as a family of three adults, ended up spending more time relaxing in the accommodating than touring. It was the highlight of our five days trip.
