The hotel is located within the city center, barely a short walk away from Oxford Road station, Deansgate station and also the Deansgate-Castlefield tram stop, all of them letting you arrive directly from Manchester Airport. I arrived late at night and i found no issue walking with my luggage towards the hotel from Oxford Road st. The front desk reception staff was very friendly, I want to take time to thank Andrew whom was very helpful in giving us pointers about late-night dining options and Charlotte who gave me a very detailed guide to cultural and recreational hotspots of the city. Everyone from the staff were very friendly, from cleaning, maintenance, kitchen and bar who were very friendly and polite whenever I met them at the hotel. The breakfast is buffet style consisting of your standard English breakfast, I not only had no issue with the breakfast but it was of very appropriate quality, with no queues whatsoever to find a place to sit every morning, I was also reminded by the staff to let them know if myself or my companion had any allergies, which we didn't but It's still an important detail for all guests. The two bed room was modest in size but complete with amenities expected for the price, the room was very quiet at night despite my stay being during the Oasis concert weekend which meant there were a lot of people walking outside late at night, despite that the room was comfortable, no noise at all and allowed a quality night's sleep. A very complete and quality experience and i have no issue whatsoever in recommending this hotel for everyone looking for a centric hotel at a reasonable price.

Really - I can't think of anything that wasn't fully, solidly well done! I can suggest that the Leonard hotels team make it a bit clearer that there are two leonardo hotels in Manchester, one by the Manchester Station event location (Messe) and the other one in Piccadilly. I had no clue/indication, and mistakenly went to the Piccadilly edition, where the reception clerk told me that happens all the time (and kindly booked me a taxi to get to the correct one).

Location is perfect . Rooms have a double and single bed .

The lighting is very uninviting . Could look a lot nicer with softer lighting . We stayed for over 5 nights. Had to constantly ask for housekeeping to clean . We were there for leisure so didn’t want to have to get up early to have room cleaned . It was an issue which I discussed several times with reception . It was resolved in the end . We will definitely be back though .

The staff were so helpful, friendly and personable. We particularly enjoyed meeting Wayne on reception. My 8 year old was enchanted by Manchester, thinking it looked like (he imagined) Tokyo. And Wayne then showed him photos of himself in Tokyo! My son really loved that. We also loved the breakfast, and the entrance lobby area, and the restaurant/bar area where breakfast was served. It's also very central, and yet has really good sound insulation, so not noisy.

We were hoping to log in to Netflix on the TV, but only terrestrial TV was available. The room was quite small, and the views were non-existent! (A dirty canal and an empty building). But for being so central and affordable that was absolutely fine. The no-netflix thing was our biggest disappointment!

Everything except that the rooms are very small compared to other budget hotels and the windows could of done with opening a little more than they could so that fresh air could come in and the air conditioning wasent on and their was no info on how to put it on so room was a little stuffy it would of been nice if it came on automatic wen you step into your room and have some sort of remote or dial to controller it like other hotels but over all had a good stay and is great for a overnight stay but realistic not realy for a stay for a few days because of these reasons but thank you for a nice stay

The price of breakfast it's a bit steep £16 compared to other hotels that accommodate a help yourself buffet breakfast other hotels only charge between £10 and twelve £10 if booked on arrival at hotel or twelve booked on Internet unless staying in a five star hotel iv stayed in quite a few hotels in manchester and York and also I thought the drinks that you sold at the little shop at the reception area were to expensive I did see people getting the items but then was putting them back because you were charging to much I mean come on £2.80 just for a can of coke that's a joke if your prices were right it would be a gold mine even I put mine back and your not exactly a five star hotel

Location brilliant for trams and walking to the shopping area and restaurants. Great friendly clean hotel good breakfast and meals and snacks. A comfortable reception lounge are with mini shop for a few essentials, drinks and snacks too. Fresh cold water bar on tap. They have been so helpful to us over the past 4 years with our daughter at University here we've always stayed here on visits. We wouldn't stay at any other hotel visiting the city. They tick all the boxes for us! Thankyou Leonardo keep up the good work.

Traffic noise early morning in some of the bedrooms but not a big deal if you shut the window.

the hotel was very nice. our room was clean, the beds were extremely comfortable. there is air conditioning which we loved in the heat. the concierge was kind and friendly. the bathroom has hand soap, shampoo, and shower gel. room exactly as pictured. we loved our stay and it was very affordable. there are snacks and drinks downstairs you can pay for which saves a late night shopping trip, there is also complimentary water.

there was a tiny bit of a damp smell in the room, maybe the aircon hadn’t been used in a while. also the water pressure in the shower wasn’t great and the water kind of pulsed and had a weak pressure.

The location of the hotel was perfect as it was a 10 minute walk from work. The buffet breakfast catered for all dietary requirements which was important as our group included a vegan. The bed was really comfortable and all the amenities in the room were really appreciated.

On our first night in the hotel, the food was a little lacklustre and the attitude of the staff behind the bar was a little lacking. It felt like they were doing us a favour by serving us, which was disappointing as the Leonardo chain has been our hotel of choice for all work trips and this is not the sort of work ethos we have experienced before. Having said that, this won't stop us from booking this hotel again, and the staff were more affable the following night.

Beautiful hotel in a fabulous location, very close to the tram stop also. The Leonardo hotel's staff is their greatest asset.

The heating did not work and though a member of staff did his very best to reset the entire heating system he could not get it to work, there appears to be no maintenance team at the hotel. There was also an intermittent problem with the toilet cistern which at times continuously filled which was very noisy. When the helpful staff member looked at the issue it was working of course but only until the next flush, it was constantly filling all night on our first night in the hotel making quite a noise.

The room was a great price, £69.95 ! It was the perfect location from the train - (deansgate,) and the venue we were going to (Rebellion). Clean and tidy room. Kettle and tea , coffee. Etc.

The pillows were really hard. I prefer a softer pillow. But it didn't really matter. We only stayed 1 night so no real issue. The lighting in the whole hotel is very dimly lit. I have a vision problem in low lit areas, not the hotels problem though. The lights by the mirrors could be a bit brighter, it was hard to see to do my makeup. One over the mirror would have been good. But for one night again not that much of an issue.
