Very clean and tidy, the suites have been recently renovated and are quite modern. The beds are super comfy and the carpets feel luxurious. Reception staff were friendly and accommodating. Parking is off street right at the suites, so nice and close to the rooms. Salamanca markets are within a few minutes walk, as is all the beautiful bars and restaurants. Highly recommend Salamanca Suites.

Very basic kitchen and contents,which I found very disappointing.Why have a dishwasher when you only have 4 of everything! No teapot(staff lent us 2).No eggcups and even the hotel didn’t have any to lend us.A few plastic containers to hold snacks in would have been wonderful.Some kitchens in establishments like this would have so many extra bits and pieces to utilise to really make the accomodation excellent and your stay seamless.Not this one,even the few pictures on the wall were lacklustre.Why not have some gorgeous photos of scenes to be found around Tasmania?

The facilities were great. We were 2 couples travelling together and it was important to have 2 bedrooms both with a king size bed, 2 bathrooms and TV’s in both rooms - Salamanca Suites had this and it made for a good comfortable stay. The bathrooms were really good with great showers, water pressure and amenities provided. Parking was easy either directly out the front or in the Lenna of Hobart parking area - this is a huge tick as parking around this area could be very tricky. The location was great - access to all the restaurants, pubs and pier. The staff at check in were really friendly and helpful and gave us great directions and helpful information. The only negatives are the WIFI - I found to be slow and lagged a lot so I gave up and went with my own data. The sofa and seating in the lounge area was terrible - very uncomfortable, looked cheap and tacky and didn’t accommodate the 4 of us when we tried to watch footy together. All in all we were happy with our stay - the apartment delivered what we needed (apart from the sofa and WIFI issue), we would stay again if the rates were a bit better. We paid approx $245 per couple per night, so for a 2 night stay it was around $981 split between 2 couples - not sure it presented good value.

The WIFI, very slow so I gave up and the sofa, tacky, uncomfortable and inadequate.

I was blown away by the Salamanca Suites. I told my partner I could see us moving in when we're ready to downsize, LOL! The suite was nicer than the flat I used to rent in central London. Everything about it was spectacular, down to small details like there being two luggage racks available instead of just the usual one (my poor partner always generously lets me use it while his suitcase lies on the floor). I was actually sad that we only had one night planned here, and actually we liked it so much we bailed on a terrible place near Freycinet after one night and made the drive back to Salamanca Suites for an unplanned second night instead. Highly recommend and hope we can come back someday.

You check in and pick up your keys at the Lenna of Hobart reception, which is across the street but up a very steep hill. There isn't enough parking at the Suites for all the rooms but you can use the Lenna parking lot instead, which is very helpful but not ideal.

Location was perfect for bars, restaurants, shops - everything you would want for a 4-day stay that we had. Staff very helpful - shout out to housekeeping - great service and super clean apartment. Plenty of space in the 2-bed/2-bath apartment we had for 4 people. Would definitely recommend.

Kitchen a bit more dated than rest of the apartment that appears to have had a makeover, but certainly no negative. Occasionally heard street noise from below in the quiet of the night (no double glazing?), but also not a negative and should not detract anyone from booking.

There can be some noise from the adjacent docks if you’re in an east facing room, particularly during the day, occasionally middle of night. And not much of a view directly from the apartment, but very close to beautiful views of city and harbour. The kitchenette was very small but ok for simple meals if you need.

Location is fantastic... just a short stroll from the Salamanca Market! We were two couples travelling together and having two kind bedrooms and two bathrooms was great. The newly renovated suite was lovely, with excellent quality fittings etc. Beds were super comfy and the furnishings were stylish. Housekeeping staff were warm, friendly and super efficient! Would definitely stay again!

The only vague downside would be that the kitchen has no large knives which made meal preparation difficult. We were staying for a full week and wanted to avail ourselves of some of the beautiful fresh produce in Hobart to prepare some meals. With only a small paring knife, it was difficult. The other kitchen issue was that there were only four cups, four plates, four bowls etc., which meant we had to run the dishwasher at least twice per day ie once after breakfast and again after dinner. We had two days off which meant those days we had lunch in the apartment as well and so we had to run it three times those days. Not great for the environment.

My daughter and I stayed for 5 nights. The suite was much larger than we expected and in an unbeatable location. We wanted to explore galleries and all the amazing food all within walking distance. Great the unit had 2 bathrooms and even a laundry should you need one. The unit was clean and all furniture was very comfortable. Great spot to return to after a busy day exploring.

Tbh everything was great.

Needed to walk a huge hill to get to the reception area for this stay- which actually was a reception area for a totally different hotel. Better communication on this would be better. Room was simple. Two beds. Laundry in Bathroom which we appreciated. Location right on the harbor next to the university- still a walk to get to the restaurants. Limited parking. Parked on the street and took a chance not to get a parking ticket which we did not get. adequate. Next time probably not.

Locked door to the facility - note said up the hill to reception. Hills in 3 direction- not the best start. View out the window was of university not of the harbor.

Amazing location! Such a great, central location, making it really easy to navigate around town (and could walk everywhere). The apartment was super spacious and comfortable. The hotel operators were super friendly and allowed us to store our luggage after checkout, which was very kind!

The king beds were two singles pushed together, which was a little uncomfortable, as you could really feel the divide, but not really an issue for us.
