Lovely junior suite room. Enjoyed sitting in the bay window each day before and after sightseeing, just watching oban bay and all the boats. Very relaxed few days. The extra large bed was very comfy. Breakfast was a nice choice and well presented.

The bathroom was a little dated but spacious. The hot water could've done to be hotter.

Very large room which was fantastic and the view was excellent...Only one heater in a large room which wasn't enough to heat the room.The very large bed was very good and very comfortable.Clean and most enjoyable stay.Didnt like menu in dining room for evening meals.No choice of british food.Didnt serve beer from a pump either only bottled.Staff very very friendly. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice x

The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was very good. There was a big car park at the back of the hotel. It is in easy walking distance of the centre of town and about a 15 minute walk to the ferry terminal. The WiFi was very good except for one short period when Internet access was unavailable. (There was a strong WiFi signal but an Internet outage.) The staff were most obliging and very helpful. Breakfast was very good and I enjoyed the evening meal in the restaurant. When the weather was bad and I didn’t want to go out in the rain, it was pleasant to sit in the lounge and watch the activity of ferries and boats coming and going.

We are a family of 5 and stayed at this hotel in Oban for 2 nights. The reception staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We would like to thank Jude, who helped a lot with questions and special requests, and the lady that checked us in and made sure our family were all on the same floor. They made us feel very welcome. The children loved using the swimming pool, a highlight to wind down after a busy day of exploring the surroundings of Oban. Rooms were clean and spacious, beds very comfortable. Location set aside from the town centre opposite the sea which provides tranquility.

TV remote didn't work. We alerted the staff and handed over the remote control - didn't hear about it after that, problem still persisted. Staff was probably very busy and forgot. On one of the evenings during our stay their restaurant served a buffet from 8pm, costing 25£ per person. At first we were told our 6 year old would pay half price. When asked again later (directly at the restaurant) they said there was no such discount for young children. The misinformation was confusing and disappointing. We ended up eating out.

The hotel is in a wonderful location with great views over Oban Bay. Breakfast was excellent in a beautiful room. The food was replenished several times when we were there and was well cooked and of good quality. We were blessed with wonderful weather and the outdoor bar seating area was a great place to watch the world go by on the promenade. Reception staff were welcoming and friendly. Beds were comfortable.

Our room overlooked a huge extractor fan which did not make for a pleasant environment and in addition the room was quite dark. All standard rooms apparently look over the side or back of the building and if staying again I would definitely pay for a better room. I did not succeed in connecting to wifi.

All of the breakfast was incredible especially the mushrooms and bacon. Even though the outside of our back rooms looked a bit worn, the rooms were very spacious and had everything of what was needed for 5 nights. The pool was at the right temperature and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very polite and friendly.

The restaurant food could have been better although we still enjoyed ourselves and finished the plates. The shipping container and seats looked very untidy placed in the middle of the car park but it didn’t affect us.

Liked location, upgraded rooms, lovely & spacious. Bathroom bit small but is an old hotel. Staff were lovely, helpful & obliging

Pool closed! Very disappointing, previous trip advisor comments report pool often closed 😔 Restaurant staff lovely but due to mismanagement in the kitchen ( re stock / availability )limited choice & no cheese board . Made special request to chef re seasoning but yet food appeared covered in seasoning , not great when have reason for request. Restaurant not busy , seems poor for a Saturday / summertime. Chef really needs to listen to comments as minor adjustments could make all the difference. Food we did receive was delicious

Upon checking in, the reception staff, Stephanie and her colleague were very welcoming, polite and friendly. As the front car park was full, I was kindly given directions for the extra car park at the rear of the hotel. After checking in, we were kindly shown to our room and help was given with taking our luggage. Room was very spacious for our family of 3, comfy pillow and bed. Buffet breakfast was amazing, a good range of variety to choose from. Tea, coffee and fruit juices too. My 6 year old son is a fussy eater, but he chose what he wanted and finished it all 👍🏽 The location was great, close to town and with exceptional seafront and scenic views 🥰

The pool and steam sauna are fantastic. The breakfast buffet is very well presented. I am a retired executive chef and I've seldom seen a nicer kitchen anywhere, it's so modern, clean and spiffy. The whole hotel is just a beautiful old place. Staff was extra attentive. The view of the bay is perfect.

The bathtub faucets in our room where next to impossible to turn on and off. My wife had to go to our daughters room to shower. The room heater was not adjustable at all. The tour bus groups completely clean out the breakfast buffet as soon as it opens leaving nothing for hotel guests until it is replenished which takes quite awhile because the hotel is under staffed. Nearly impossible to get a drink at the bar as the desk clerk has to do double duty.

Bar service poor, we wanted drinks to sit outside late afternoon sunshine, so a chilled white wine and a beer ! Normal would you think, No chilled wine actually No wine at all, apparently waiting for delivery, oh only wine was a Proseco not chilled, No beer! an issue with the pumps? So no Wine, No beer in a hotel this size is unbelievable! As we were thirsty and could not get any normal chilled drink ... they only had Cider chilled, never been in any hotel, and I assure you I've stayed in hundreds of Hotels and this was a first ... totally disappointed, from that we did not drink or eat on the hotel, feeble excuses from staff or just didn't know how to serve a resident. That really lower our rating, disappointed to say the least!
