We took our Labrador with us and due to the layout of the hotel, it meant that the rooms on the ground floor all have a sliding patio door that leads straight outside to where you park up. Really easy when travelling with a dog to nip him out for a quick walk. The room was great with a huge bed. Very clean and even got a doggy snack bag. We had a meal in the evening and the food was great, not the cheapest but the quality was worth the money. The staff were all amazing and really friendly we were okay to take the dog to breakfast with us (sat in bar area) and he even got his own sausage served up in a dish! We will definitely be back.
There was nothing about the stay that we didn’t like.

Lovely staff really friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast and staff were accommodating when my husband something that wasn’t shown as being available on the menu. Nice large room with both a bath and a very good shower. Very convenient for Beamish Museum.
Some areas on the stairs are a little tired and a new carpet wouldn’t go amiss but this did not detract from our stay at all. There was a wedding on whilst we were there and the actual venue for the ceremony seems to be in a corridor that connects the reception to the bedrooms which seemed a little bizarre as it is used as a walkway

Position of the hotel was superb for Beamish Museum and visiting other areas too! The staff were very professional, but very friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast choices were excellent with fresh fruit, yogurt and juices. The hot breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious too with as much fresh tea and coffee as you wished. Speedy service, delightful dining room and nothing was too much trouble.
The bedrooms need a light refresh and the pillows were not comfortable at all, but on the whole if that's all you have to be negative about, it's hardly worth mentioning! Brilliant stay!

Just came back from a stay here. The place is lovely. staff are great and they take great care of your little doggies too.The food is beautiful will definitely return. As a none driver there are bus stops just down a small bank which is very handy. There is also a woodland area across the roads to walk your dogs. Tanfield railway museum is also just along the road too. Thankÿou Beamish park hotel xx
There are a few roads nearby located on a bank but didn't spoil my stay at all. Was still quiet no road noise Go down the bank cross the roads and go through causey arch to a woodland area where you can walk your dogs.

This is a lovely hotel the website does not do it justice. The room was lovely, comfortable and clean. It was nice being able to park our car right out side the room much easier. Food was really nice both for breakfast and evening meal. Staff was friendly and helpful.
No air-conditioning in the room and having a downstairs room with patio door this was lovely but at night when it was hot didn't want to open the patio door while we was asleep . The hairdryer is not great very slow and it cuts out.

The staff were amazing from arriving to leaving laura on reception was fantastic taking care of our suitcases as we had arrived early and were going to beamish early in the day. She put our suitcases in the room for our return and we felt she went the extra mile for our party of four. To Julia on the breakfast service and being so attentive whilst serving us with our breakfast. We even had an evening meal which was delightful in the conservatoey with a lady singer on too. Will definately be booking to stay again and would highly recommend tjis lovely Hotel with beautiful views

The property is an ideal base for Beamish Museum. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated, the bathroom was spacious and towels were changed daily if required We had a faulty door handle and we were asked whether we wanted to move rooms or maintenance to sort it we chose the latter and it was dealt with when we returned later that day The restaurant area is well set out and the food was very nice good portion sizes nicely presented The bar / lounge area was comfortable to relax after a nice meal and a busy day We also liked the fact that we had a parking space right outside our door which was most convenient

The only thing we didn't like was the false, cheap aroma down passages from those plug in smelly things. So cheap and false. A good wind through making the passages smell fresh would have been preferable. Apart from that I am allergic to such.
The mugs in the room were washed in perfumed dish wash liquid. This smells and tastes as the mug is used. Horrible. We don't like these cheap imitation smells. And apart from that I am allergic to those cheap false perfumes. My lungs can close down near such.

An Evening meal was served to a large party during a busy night for the hotel. The food was served hot and well presented all together. There was no issue with any meal. This indicates an organised and well run kitchen and service team. The staff were friendly and professional. The rooms are mostly ground floor with parking directly outside French Doors. They are clean and the bathroom facilities are good. Handy for the heritage steam train and local sights such as Beamish. Would like to thank the staff for a nice stay.
The breakfast was not at the same quality as the evening meal. Eggs for almost all our party were very overcooked. The breakfast room was very busy and this is a small but observed gripe from my party of 16. The rooms have no view and can seem a little dark but they are clean.

Stayed here over the weekend for a wedding nearby. The hotel was simply charming, and very comfortable. The staff were really warm and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. I was particularly impressed by the restaurant, which offered several gluten free options (including the Sunday roast!) I would definitely stay again.
Restaurant closes at 6pm on Sunday / 8pm weekdays which is a little early (although the chef made an exception for us which was very kind.) No phone in the room despite having a room service option.
