Location is excellent for all of transportation - subway , train , shinkansen , bus and taxi. And shopping as well. Breakfast is amazing. Japanese staffs are full of service mind.

First staying , June 17-19, I didn't receive the information of welcome drink and many things at 5th floor. I got it at my second staying here. Front Desk should communicate better in English.

Proximity to Hakata train station

Staying in this hotel was one of the best choices for me in this trip. Being a lactating mother, I was so grateful to choose this hotel. The location was the best as it was just next to Hakata station. Although there was no microwave inside the room, I went to the front desk to microwave and stream the pump and milk bottle for my 1 year old baby. The staffs were so nice even if I asked them to stream so many times. There was a baby cot to provide and it was so helpful for me to put the baby inside when I was busy to pack the things. I will definitely choose this hotel if I will come to FUK again.

The only things I could say was not having toilet seat for my 5 years old kid. Maybe they have it but I didn’t ask for it.

There are lots of good things to recommend about this hotel. It locates right nearby the Hakata Station and is easy to access whether you are coming from the airport by train or going to the airport by bus. There is a Lawson convenience store and a taxi stand around. My room is definitely not big at all and the wash basin locates right next to the entrance of the room which is uncommon in terms of hotel design but overall it has everything that I need. Love the gym a lot and I enjoyed the buffet breakfast too, probable one of the Japan hotels I have ever lived in that has the most variety of food. Would like to stay again in the hotel next time when visiting Fukuoka.

They don't have razor available in their room. I wish the available hours of free soba at night can extend longer, it seems like every night they only serve a limited quantity of soba, I was lining up for one in one night and somehow the lady in front of me took the last bowl of soba.

The location of the accommodation is excellent. The breakfast is very plentiful, enough for two meals, making it a great starting point for self-guided tours. It is conveniently located with easy access to transportation, and the environment is clean. The staff is very friendly and considerate. The balcony design is nice, providing a good place to rest after a day out. There are many free services, such as complimentary coffee. The rooms are also quite clean. This is my second stay here. The hotel currently offers English programs such as CNN, and the internet speed is very fast. Overall, I am extremely satisfied. If I visit Fukuoka, Japan again, I will definitely stay here.

We arrived to Hakata after a very long flight from Hawaii with layover to Haneda and finally landed in Fukuoka almost 2 hours behind schedule. By the time we arrived in Hakata, it was almost 10pm. But we made it safely and I am so thankful for the proximity of this hotel from the station. Literally right out the door of the Chikushi Exit. It was very clean, beautiful and welcoming. I can't thank you enough for the complimentary warm bowl of Welcome Soba mini bowl. We were hungry but too tired to go and find a place to eat. We just wanted a quick grab and crash. I will never forget this thoughtful hospitality. There were only 2 bowls left. We were so fortunate. Thank you so much Oriental Hotel Hakata Station!

There was nothing i didn't like. The place was perfect and the staff were very friendly.

The buffet breakfast was great. They offered both Western and Japanese breakfast items, that were tasty and resupplied when the serving dish was empty. We probably over-did breakfast but that cut down on our lunches. We did notice several Western tourists did not know the eggs in the shell were raw (although we are familiar with this dish) but that is a traditional Japanese breakfast dish - perhaps a sign explaining the raw eggs should be posted. The best feature is the location so close to train/subway station. In fact, there is a door near the breakfast restaurant of the hotel that connects directly to the subway entrance without going outdoors, especially when it was raining. The train station has many restaurants and shopping areas that we also frequented. The trains and subways lines run quite frequently.

The shower valve control handle positions (i.e. temperature control, shower-tub changeover and on/off) were different from what we are used to but we figured it out. Might be common in Japan but different from the US shower valves.

The breakfast at the hotel was excellent! While the spread may not have been extensive, the quality of the food provided was exceptional. I also liked the fresh orange juice from the machine. The juice was sweet and refreshing! We also enjoyed both the lunch and dinner buffets and were highly satisfied with the delicious offerings. Wine was provided during dinner. The staff were incredibly obliging and helpful, with special thanks to Miss Tamang from Nepal and her team for their outstanding service. We were also pleasantly upgraded to a much larger room after reporting a cigarette smell in our initial bathroom to Miss Tamang and her team. The hotel itself is beautiful and exudes a five-star feel. A delightful bonus was the complimentary ramen and wine served every evening at 9 p.m., adding to the charm of the stay. Conveniently located just across from Hakata Station and its bustling shopping mall, the hotel made exploring the area a breeze.

I cannot think of anything at the moment.

1. Location is superb The hotel is just a few stops away from the Fukuoka domestic airport. The hotel is right at the doorstep of JR Hakata station. It is also the central meeting point for day tours. 2. Comfortable bed The bed is very comfy and we slept well throughout our stay in the hotel. 3. Polite staffs The hotel staffs are very polite and helpful and they made our stay a pleasant one. 4. Amenities are great Apart from being near to the JR station, there are 3 malls nearby which offers various shopping options for you.

The rooms are small and you need to find a way to maneuvere the luggage. Some areas are dusty (eg tissue box and some of the edges near the mirror) and doesn’t seem to be cleaned for a while.

The staff was so helpful. I fell and they stayed with me until the ambulance came. We hadn’t checked in yet but they took complete care of our bags while we were away. I also loved the location. There is a great shopping and eating mall right next door at the Hakata train station, making travel, shopping and meals so easy. Oh, what I also liked very much was the free sake for guests in the evenings and wonderfully free soba noodles every night at 9:00pm.

Well, I didn’t life falling but that was purely my fault.
