Extremely polite and helpful staff. Ideal location, directly across from the Montreux train station and with an amazing view of Lake Geneva from the hotel restaurant and from our room. Very good food and service at the hotel restaurant.

We were told the rooms had air conditioning, but it seemed to just be a fan pushing air, not real A/C, as it was quite warm (80F/27C) inside the room, even in the middle of the night, which made it hard to sleep.

- Conveniently located just across the street from the Montreux train station, which is also the termimus for the "Chocolate Train", the "Golden Pass Express" scenic train, and high-speed trains to Lausanne and Geneva. - Rooms on the lake side overlook Lake Geneva and the French Alps with breathtaking views! Balcony rooms have a small table where you can take your morning coffee/tea and casually enjoy the grandeur of this timeless setting. - Interior decor is fresh, but classic. Rooms are spacious, quiet, air conditioned, and very comfortable.

- Rooms and dining can be very expensive, but if you look for bargains, reserve early, and also patronize some of the great local restaurants in the neighborhood, you can enjoy the luxury of the Grand Hotel Suisse Majestic without blowing your trip budget.

The hotel is in a great location directly opposite the rail station, perfect for us. The view from the hotel is magnificent. The staff were nice at reception, rooms ready and everything as expected. Beds and linens very nice, robes/slippers a nice touch. Breakfast was excellent!!!!

The rooms are a little dated, though clean and well furnished. The patio/porch was not very clean, window cracked, and not very appealing. The phone in the room did not work.

Location next to lake, location right opposite the train station , front line with xmas market, spectacular view from breakfast, big room very well presented

Unfortunately i was not happy with how the reception dealt with an accident i had where i slid down the stairs. Floors were wet from rain and you can clearly see they have recently removed the antislip from the steps edge. I didnt report it for any special treatment just so they put a sigh up or close the stairs as it was extremely dangerous. Although i hurt my arm and pelvis im a big guy and was not injured any worse as those falls can be life threatening. I had to go a second time to tell them the second day, then they put a sign but in the wrong flight of stairs! They need to tke these incidents more seriously and tactfully IMO

Room with a lake and mountain view with balcony (although described as 'partial lake view' was actually a bit better than that), Breathtaking. This was our third visit and the views have always been good. Breakfast is superb and a lovely sitution and decor.

The use of the usual pop music, even piped out to the lovely outdoor terrace, seems an odd distraction from the otherwise wonderful ambience of the place overlooking spectacular scenery (Kylie singing 'can't get you out of my head' at full blast seems inapproriate, unless she means the view!) Has the hotel thought about low volume classical or Jazz to go with the spirit and history of this marvelous well-presented town? Also, it seems strange to us that the Hotel feel the need to mention 'no dogs' in dining area. I thought that would be a given. In fact i'd personally have no dogs in the hotel at all because of hygeine, cleaning rooms and allergin issues.

Location. Right on the promenade and super close to the train station (literally steps from the train station but with a room on the lakeside it didn’t feel like it or hear anything with trains). Views of lake. Get a room with a lakeside view. If sunny enjoy an awesome view of the sunset. Terrace patio. For breakfast or drinks at the bar. They have a restaurant too for other meals but we didn’t partake. Room amenities. Super comfortable bed and shower was great.

Entrance. Being picky here, but wish there was an entrance right on the promenade. Had to enter through the “back” of the hotel by the train station only. Especially your first time arriving don’t judge the property based on your first moment entering!

The old style hotel was within easy access of the station. The views were spectacular. The staff were efficient, helpful, polite and courteous. The associated restaurant was excellent - even if a bit pricey! (However the views are to die for!!)

The bathroom - my wife and I are tall and the shower/bath is extremely tight. Entry and exit to the bath/shower would be a challenge for elderly or those with any hip/knee issues.

Beautiful location - the views from the terrace are incomparable. We loved both the bar and the restaurant and all the staff were so lovely and helpful throughout our stay. The room was beautiful with a little balcony and the bed very comfortable. We’ll definitely stay here again.

The TV in the room was quite small especially as it’s on the far side of the wall. Not a big deal at all but essentially can’t watch tv. We would’ve also expected a bigger breakfast selection in a hotel like this (eg an omelette station or something) but also not an issue as the breakfast that was available was delicious.

Great location in front of the train station and lake. Staff were professional, we were allowed to check in one hour earlier and also store our luggage after check out. Complimentary water, soda and juice in the mini bar. There was a yoga mat, an iron and ironing board in the room. We had a large corner room with city view (facing train station) on the 8th floor. Noise wasn't an issue with the windows closed. Nice lobby and cocktail bar. Didn't have breakfast but the restaurant looked nice. Free travel card was provided which included a discount to Chillon castle.

The taps in the bathroom are old style so it is difficult to control the temperature as you have one hot tap and one cold tap. Shower pressure wasn't great. There are only two small lifts so they take a while to use, especially if you're on a high floor.

The front desk staff and wait staff were excellent. They were kind, patient , and knowledgeable of the area. Balcony of room was pleasant surprise . The view from restaurant was breathtaking. The food was the best we had in 10 days traveling thru Switzerland.

. An initial glitch removing feather pillows from our rooms was quickly corrected .
