The room was really beautiful and well kept. The hotel has an amazing, unique character and is a must visit for anyone that enjoys quality architecture and interior design. It’s also well located for a 20 minute into the tourist centre. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. They offered a lot of helpful guidance for places to visit and even arranged a reservation for a fantastic restaurant on Easter Sunday. They also kindly left a complimentary bottle of champagne for my partner’s birthday. Would highly recommend staying here!

In the end Casa do Conto was having some work done and I was upgraded to Tipografia do Conto for my stay. The staff were impeccable. Breakfast is served in a delightful room and was also of a really high standard. There is a lovely garden at the back and small pool which in the spring/summer time must be great. The location was a tiny bit farther from the centre than I had imagined but it was a nice walk up a largely pedestrianised shopping street. Each of the garden rooms has a balcony, there is a little Marshall Bluetooth speaker in the lovely bright room. The bathroom was clean, modern and spacious with high quality towels. The reception, lounge and bar spaces of the hotel are open and tastefully decorated with vintage furniture, ethnic rugs, books and lots of plants. The whole vibe is casual but chic.

My stay wasn’t long enough

The rooms were beautiful. Very trendy and modern. Comfortable large bed. Bathroom was spotless and the guests lounge was very comfortable. There was a nice sitting out are that we were unable to use due to the weather. The staff were all exceptional. Very, very helpful and friendly. They really anticipated our needs without asking. Breakfast was excellent,good choice and all served on lovely china and attention to detail. There was nothing to fault.

My only slight criticism was that it was quite a walk to the bars and restaurants. Would have preferred to be a bit nearer the old town.

The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. There were so many things that I got to experience because the staff told me about them. Otherwise, I would have missed those opportunities. I loved the common area on the ground floor with coffee machine. The design of my room was really cool.

It was difficult to find sufficient lighting for doing my hair and makeup. The light in the bathroom was very dim. There was not strong lighting in the main room within proximity to a power outlet. I resorted to opening the curtains and using a portable mirror to use the daylight, but that is not possible at night.

Excellent staff, particularly the receptionists and housekeeper. Excellent levels of cleanliness. Very good breakfast. Very good bed and good to have really comfortable chair and small table in room

I felt - in relation to the room - design and image overtook practicality. The shower was powerful; therefore leaked The huge windows look fantastic but lack of blinds or shutters meant dark curtains had to be closed to prevent people in the house opposite staring directly into the room. Wardrobe provision was inadequate and collided with kettle space

Our stay at Casa do Conto was truly enchanting! And it was our second time here. The hotel's exceptional design made us feel right at home, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. The attention to detail throughout the property, combined with the perfect breakfasts, made our experience truly unforgettable. Beautiful property. Great staff who were knowledgable and helpful about booking restaurants and other things. The cleanliness of the room and the hotel was exceptional.

Wonderful staff, they couldn't do enough for you. Beautiful breakfasts, super cool top floor room with balcony and minimalist concrete and mirrored shower room. Quiet place to stay and easy to get into Porto on the metro or to walk in

Nice little boutique hotel. Very nice and attentive staff. Really appreciated my stay there! (Little bonus across the street is a small supermarket). Room was very clean. Breakfast consisted of a small (but more than enough) buffet with cheese, ham, pancakes and really fresh fruits (On request you can also get fried eggs etc.). Staff also helps with restaurant recommendations and sightseeing tours.

It’s so beautiful and well decorated! It’s in a great central spot, right across from a grocery store which was nice.

A slightly busy street, but it didn’t really matter. The Wi-Fi was a bit spotty and would go out in our room but the staff jumped right to trying to fix it each time.
