Carrabaun House was a great venue for our two nights in Westport. A short drive from town, the home is elevated with lovely garden and view. Angela was a warm and welcoming host, and it was a surprise that our room was serviced during our stay. The room and house are very traditional and as we came to expect in this part of the world, the bathroom was tiny, but we enjoyed our stay very much. Breakfast was tasty and cooked to order and Angela goes to great trouble to ensure you enjoy your stay.

The property is in very quiet location. Our room (3) was very spacious and had an amazing view. The room was very clean. The hosts were so welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. There was room to sit in our room and also a sitting area downstairs which allowed us to mingle with other guests. Breakfast was fantastic and plentiful. Lots of fresh ingredients are used from the property gardens. On site parking which was a huge bonus.

We found the beds a little hard.

Exquisite surroundings and breathtaking views with Westport a mere 4 minute drive away. Angela was the most charming host and went out of her way to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with so many choices and healthy too. Bed was extremely comfortable and bathroom facilities everything we required. Happy to recommend this 5-star accommodation to anyone.

The owners are a delightful senior couple. Francis gave us some nice recommendations of things to do in the area. We really enjoyed getting to know them, even briefly. Our room was comfortable, and the breakfast room was beautifully decorated with lovely old Irish porcelain. we wish we had more time in Westport. It is a beautiful area. But the morning we got up it was foggy and raining, not a good day for views of the bay, so we will just have to come back! Definitely recommend staying at the Carrabaun house.

Angela and Frank were excellent hosts. The family bedroom was spacious, clean and quiet. Had great views from family room, breakfast room and grounds. Frequently checked that everything was to our liking. Gave some suggestions on getting around town as a bluegrass festival weekend was in progress. Was full but plenty of parking, breakfast each morning was filling and efficient. The beds were very comfortable compared to earlier in our trip. Can highly recommend and will certainly try to stay again if in Westport

Loved everything! It is directly situated next to a N-road, making it perfect for travellers, and there was plenty of space to park, the rooms were lovely cream-colored and the decoration in the living room was breathtaking. The house and garden give only a glimpse of the beauty that you find inside. It is obvious that the Hosts love doing what they do, as the breakfast has a wide array of homemade foods available that are lovingly arranged.

Lovely location, super clean b&b, nice breakfast (must pre order night before).

No water during our stay unfortunately and really we should have been offered a small bit of a refund at least; not being able to shower after a fabulous day climbing the Reek (nor the morning after) was not the fault of the b&b but paying full price… mmm!

We arrived after a long day on Croagh Patrick, and Angela was a doll. She is a kind lady with a beautiful house in a wonderful location. The home was not only beautiful but clean, with comfortable beds, a place to sit and read in the room, and a view that can not be beaten. Our morning breakfast was the best food we ate in all of our time in Ireland. The fresh fruit from her garden with the homemade yogurt was delicious. Our morning meal included a hot selection that was definitely fresh food and made with love. It is evident that she loves her home and, more important, cares for her guests. We left feeling like more a part of the family than travelers

There was nothing we didn't like about our stay here. We will stay again when we return to Ireland.

The house is clean, beautiful and well maintained. The yard is also beautiful with good views. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing. It’s the best tradition Irish breakfast I had so far, better than those I had at pubs. I will stay at the same place next time I visit Westport.

Breakfast was lovely , the homemade breads and little fruit pots were delightful and unexpected. Also an absolutely perfect poached egg. The attention to detail is outstanding. Room is a lovely size, very clean comfortable and cosy with a stunning view. No problems getting taxis in and out of town. I could have happily stayed a week. Host is so friendly and cheery and we felt very welcomed.
