If you are a big fan of cozy labyrinth-like hotels, this is the place to go. Also, being in Bruges, this adds a lot to the atmosphere and thus to the overall experience. The lobby and the garden were amazing, and I really felt like I was in a Poirot book. The staff helped with all my questions and made my stay as comfortable as possible. Big thanks for that.

Bear in mind, steep stairs, a crazy complex floorplan and here and there, the lack of maintenance can make you feel a little bit uncomfortable. The fitness room was very minimalistic, and sadly, the bigger machines are of really bad quality, I was not able to use them as they were too small (I'm only 183 cm tall). Please buy less but higher quality things, they pay off in the long run, especiall as expectioans will be according.

Friendly staff greeted us and showed us places of interest on the map. The foyer was beautifully decorated for xmas, as were the lounge areas. The room was a good size with a small table and chairs. Tea and coffee making facilities were topped up daily. Lots of hot water and soaps and hairdryer available in the bathroom. The room was warm, and the bed was comfortable. For those wanting tv, there are English channels.

Could do with extra plug sockets to charge/ use electrical gadgets in the room.... there are plenty of sockets in the bathroom. Would have liked a window facing a view, or that we could leave open at night, but we did choose a standard room, and these have a window in the roof.

Location and room for a family of five. The location worked well in relationship to the train station and the attractions. Short 15 min walk to/from the train station. Paths were daily decent for roller luggage. The hotel included a lift so you didn’t have to carry luggage up the stairs. Short 15 min walk to attractions. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The stairs in the room and in the stairwell have a much smaller tread than normal standards. I fell once and worried my kids would also fall. This is my only criticism.

Great location that wasn't too close to the noise of the town, but only takes 10-15 minutes to walk into the Grand Place. Hotel was very clean, with some outside spaces to catch some sun.

Even with the air con on the room was quite warm, when the day temperatures were 20°C or higher. Also the walls were a little thin, so could hear when neighbours either side showered.

Awesome location in a very quaint and Historical town. A short 2 block walk and you were at restaurants, cafes and shops. 2 more blocks and you were in the city square where the Christmas market is. Cannot say enough about thd lovely city, THE EXQUISITE FOOD, architecture and VERY friendly people. We plan to return when it is warmer to enjoy a canal boat tour. If you like the old time European feel and scenery, this is THE place!

Chilly weather.

We visited as a family of 5. The hotel is a short hop from the train station and a 5 - 10 minute walk, with a 4 tear old, to everything. The location is perfect for visiting the city. The welcome was very friendly and professional, they provided us with a map of the area, tips on where and when to visit, and some local vouchers. Really warm and welcoming arriving and leaving. The rooms were really well laid out, and you can tell thought has gone into the design. A great number of charging points for all your devices, well zoned lighting and Ac, the extract in the bathroom was great, with 3 girls in the group the mirrors never misted! We stayed 4 nights and the rooms were spotless and well secured. Absolutely brilliant stay with fantastic hosts !

Only real drawback was lack of a restaurant, but with so many in a stones throw it wasn't an issue. A fantastic base for your holidays!

I really liked my room. It was spacious and it had a bathtub. The breakfast is simple but it was ok. The small gym was nice. The location was quite nice. Close enough to the city center, but not busy at all.

Unfortunately, the walls are a little thin. I could hear the next door and the upstair neighbours sometimes, especially if they take a shower or flush the toilet. Although they have a gym, it does not seem to be maintained/cleaned all the time. The staircase was a little dirty too. It would be nice if they could leave the bar area open for longer too.

A really good location. A great hotel that is 5-10mins walking from centre of Bruges which means it is quiet, but within 2 minutes you are on one of the main shopping streets. They have parking facilities, which need to be reserved, and this in a locked/gated car park to the side of the hotel. Room was clean and had air conditioning which was good as it was hot.

Not a dislike but just to be aware the car park is before the entrance when you arrive by car (1-way) so you have to do a slightly awkward/careful reverse to get back to the car park gate which a member of staff will open for you.

Beautiful hotel, the room was very quiet and comfortable, maybe a little dark with just one window, but it didn't really bother us, because we only came there to rest. Great to have a parking space at the hotel itself (you need to make a reservation, so don't forget!) and the man who served behind the counter even helped me with some directions to park (it was a bit tight).

The only thing we didn't like was the very expensive breakfast (20 euro pp). I don't need champagne for breakfast or 5 different kinds of French cheese. But these are the things you pay for, for other guests. (even though I did not see anybody take champagne). I am happy with just a good coffee, some bread and jam and a little yoghurt... That should not cost 20 euros'.

Architecture. Style. Quality. Friendly staff. Reasonable size room. Good room lighting. Breakfast.

Noisy at night in corridor, outside hotel and neighbouring room flushing their WC etc. CRAZY heated towel rail above bath - head end) meant yiu can't lean back in the bath AT ALL. Why oh why was it not located elsewhere in the huge bathroom area or the feet end of the bath???!!! Almost made the bath pointless. Last gripe - on the listing no mention that the spa shuts at 8pm! Doesnt reopen til 10am! So, useless for evening arrivals and even late departures. What a shame. Otherwise a really nice hotel.
