The staff was absolutely lovely, everyone, including the sweet Ukrainian cleaning lady! You felt really at home and welcome! The breakfast was really good, especially if you are a fan of British bread and cereals (as I am). There was crumpets, muffins, nice toast, cheese and a selection of cereals. Breakfast included in the deal we had which was a fantastic value. Also really cosy breakfast room (in the bar/pub area). The location couldn't be better, just opposite the train station, minutes away from many good coffee bars and riverside pubs and also easy walking distance to the city centre.

Our room was not en-suite, however there was two bathrooms just outside (shared with a couple of other rooms). They were fine, but could have some more hooks and shelves. And the same for our room - there weren't anywhere to hang our wet towels. And not that much space for other clothes either. A couple of hooks on the wall would be great.

Location ! Location ! Right next to the train station. Everything in walking distance. We were greeted by a very friendly member of staff at check-in (and although we arrived 15 minutes early 1.45pm, our room was ready.) Room was very nice although double bed was a bit small but not a problem as we were only staying for one night. Continental breakfast was very good (good quality products) and breakfast staff were very friendly ! There are a lot of steps in this hotel and it may not be suitable for anyone with walking difficulties. Apart from that everything is good and i would definitely stay there again.

So very close to the railway station. Very friendly staff. Excellent continental breakfast. Strong WiFi. Quality tea/coffee/hot chocolate facilities in room.

With the hotel being so close to the railway station, there were many pigeons using my window ledge as a perch. With the weather being warm, I lifted the window open a little more to cool the room only for 2 pigeons to invite themselves into my room via the open window. They knew the drill though and after a little persuasion and arm waving, they left the same way they came in! After this though I kept the windows virtually shut which did result in the room becoming overly warm.

Room was ready early for us to check in,(Family room) the room was clean and fresh. Bed and pillows very comfy.Staff very approachable and friendly, we'd asked for dietary requirements for breakfast and it was provided without a problem. Nice choice of breakfasts, including Granola, yoghurt, bagels,toast with various spreads, croissant, meats, cheese and fruit. Easy access into the hotel after hours with the use of card key or downloaded code from an email. A funny wake up call with a pigeon sitting on the windowsill staring me. Thankyou!

Unfortunately the spare bed was a bit hard and the two other quilts were used to make it softer, which worked. The mattress and the quilts had stains on them and needed washing.

The hotel is right next door to the station. The room was very comfortable and clean with nice bed linen and quality towels and an original fireplace. The bar was warm and welcoming on the Friday evening. Staff very friendly

The bar is open to the public in the morning and was too overcrowded and chaotic to offer hotel guests a good breakfast experience We were disappopinted to be asked to pay £10 for a lost plastic door entry card which we refused. If this is the hotel policy it should be made clear to guests on check in and a deposit taken for each card. It left a very unpleasant taste in our mouths which was a shame as everything had been great up until then and we would have definitely returned

Excellent breakfast choices , no need for the extra payment for a cooked breakfast - there was already so much choice for what to eat! Comfortable, clean, warm rooms with fluffy pillows and a super thick duvet. Staff went over and above to be helpful - they couldn't have done more to ensure my needs were met.

My room was directly opposite the station - not a problem in itself as the hotel location is super convenient but I could hear some noise from outside during the night which disturbed my sleep. No earplugs available - I should have brought my own just in case but forgot them this time.

Centrally located opposite the railway station and, although there were no lifts as it is a listed building, the staff were more than helpful with trying to accommodate my needs (I am disabled). Room was clean, private bathroom adequate and bed comfortable. As I had to leave before breakfast was being served on my first day, they very kindly made me up a breakfast bag (various fruits, filled crepe, croissant, breakfast bars, granola bars etc}. If travelling to Nottingham again, I would definitely stay there.

The stairs to reach reception but, as explained above, as a listed building there would have been problems installing one.

The Hotel was right by the Train Station - perfect if travelling by train. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. They were happy to look after our bags after we vacated our room as our train was later in the day. There was plenty of choice for the continental breakfast. The dining room was a very pleasant place to eat.

The window blind was broken, so couldn't be opened. This was reported to the staff. The hotel was only accessible by stairs. Difficult therefore for some people with mobility issues.

It is excellent location for light travellers becase it is just next to Nottingham railway station. Room is nicely decorated and very cosy. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

Only thing is highlight is that there are 2 flights of staircases before you reach the check-in counter which makes it not so convenient for travellers who have big and heavy luggages. Rooms are also located on upper floors with access by stairecase only. However, staff are really helpful as they carried my 20kg luggage during my stay.

Friendly, helpful staff and an excellent location close to the places we planned to visit. Good continental breakfast selection and very comfortable beds. Easy access vi key cards with back-up also emailed for additional security.

No water in the bedroom so had to use water from the bathroom for tea / coffee etc. even though tap wasn't labelled as drinking water - haven't suffered any detrimental effects though! Not the hotel's fault, but woken at 6am by Tesco lorry delivering to Tesco Express next door to hotel entrance. I know the hotel have tried to address this and I shall certainly address my views to their CEO as well. Motion sensor lights in the shower room are good except when they switch off halfway through a shower!
