The hotel is handy for Nottingham, Derby, East Midlands airport and the M1. The restaurant serves really good Indian cuisine with some Nepali specialties. There is a good choice for vegetarians. We asked for an Indian breakfast which was delicious. The hotel has recently changed management and the new managers were excellent hosts and they both went the extra mile to make us welcome and to make our stay comfortable. The hotel is just across the street from a canal path which is a secret nature corridor through to Trent Lock.

There are lots of vegetarian options on the menu- a vegetarian ‘chefs Special’ would be a nice addition. Be careful to register your car for car parking as the car park is managed by a private company.

The principal reason choosing the hotel was we wanted to stay near Long Eaton and the hotel is right in the middle of the town. It proved a pleasant experience. We enjoyed a good meal in the evening and a nice breakfast. Our room was comfortable, clean and suitably equipped for a short stay. The staff was friendly and eager to please. The town centre is a minute or two away, as is a nice walk along the canal. The hotel was good enough that we stopped there again on our way back from Edinburgh a few days later. Next time we need to visit we'll Long Eaton probably use it again

Access to the car park is via a slightly convoluted one way system, which is not helped by inconsiderate drivers deciding to come the wrong way down the road - not much else to be critical of.

The location is perfect for visiting family and the car park is a great size. We had a nice reception and checking in was easy. The room was clean and tidy and looked fresh. We had booked a meal in the restaurant which was excellent, we both really enjoyed the flavours of the food-Himalayan, Afghan and Indian with some excellent dishes.

The room needed a few things doing to it - the toilet roll holder needs tightening up, the flooring needs a bit of attention, new pillows are needed as ours were very flat and the shower curtain needs renewing. The grid on top of the radiator needs fixing in properly as it rattles alarmingly when heavy traffic passes by. Overall its a huge improvement on our previous stay here with previous owners and us very clean which is the main requirement if any hotel room, but the new owners have done an amazing job in turning the hotel around, very well done!

Overall very good. Our room was spacious and the bed comfortable. A few things could benefit from attention such as the pillows and pillow cases, one radiator was stuck in the on position and the TV remote didn’t work. The management perhaps could check these things more regularly? Having said this the Hotel is good value and the staff are really helpful and friendly, which is the main thing. I would certainly stop here again. Best of all is the restaurant where the Nepalese and Indian food is superb we enjoyed one of the best meals we’d had in a long while.

Was a bit confused regarding the English food option menu for my wife .

we ate in the on site Indian restaurant the food from starter to dessert was superb compliments to the chef ,excellent service by the staff too.we had a superior suite which was spacious and nicely decorated

unfortunately our room was on the main road side of the hotel so it was quite noisy not the hotels fault i would definately recommend a stay here but maybe book a room at the back of the hotel ,could not get more than 2 channels on the tv which wasnt a problem as we were only there for the night

We had dinner at the hotel the first evening which was excellent - right up there for one of the best Indian meals when eating out - a good choice for vegetarians. Bed was comfy and room spacious and clean. Outside seating area which was great as weather was good. Very friendly welcome. Offered to carry bags up to our room (no lift) Parking at the hotel - just have to key in details. Owners only took over the hotel a couple of months back and have made good progress downstairs with the décor with comfortable seating areas We did not need breakfast as had other plans but need to advise in advance if you do. Thank you for your hospitality. We enjoyed our stay.

As mentioned owners recently taken over so no doubt intend to do more so comments made in this context - our room didn't have any drawers, only a hanging rail, which was fine for a couple of nights but not ideal. The décor in the room was looking like it needed a bit of a refresh, but that said, the room / bathroom was all clean.

The hotel was very welcoming when we arrived, easy to park and check in. Had a lovely meal at the restaurant - the food was so tasty! Lovely walking along the canal which is very close by and we found a fabulous green with big play parks and splash zone. It was a fabulous stop to continue our journey the next day. Our Room was clean, tidy, a big bathroom with a great pressure shower. Yes the room we stayed in needs a bit of love and attention cosmetically - but it was so convenient for us with the price and location we would definitely stay again and look forward to seeing it develop.

The room was very spacious and clean. The en-suite was similarly large with a good sized shower (which I did not need to use being a very short stay). There were drink making facilities and a medium sized TV, all perfectly serviceable. I would be happy to stay there again.

The room was quite warm without aircon, but the windows can open. This made the noise from the main road a bit more of a problem, but was Ok for me. It seems they have tried hard to make nice rooms, but I think one or two of the fixtures may need finishing off. There was no breakfast due to refurbishment I believe, but again, that isn't a problem for me and was known beforehand.

As a business traveller, hotels are often booked at short notice by the “office” with little consultation. Well, here goes, I parked around the back, and at the front, I was greeted by a smart gentleman who then welcomed me as he booked me in. Then, he pointed out that on the ground floor was a Nepalese restaurant. And he carried my bags to my room. What a surprise! Don’t usually get that treatment but here we go. And, the food was fantastic, I had Tawa lamb, and recommend it to everyone. I’m definitely going to use Bennetts again when I’m in the area, one not to be missed!
