Definitely recommend staying at Discovery Parks in Airlie Beach! Doesn’t matter if you are planning to camp or stay in one of the more luxurious studios or villas - this park is the very best. Great communication for a late check in; everything went smoothly! We stayed in the Standard Studio which seemed newly renovated, had a great bathroom, balcony and could not have been better suited for us. The communal bathrooms are also super clean and have lots of space. The pool is great and the bird feeding every day at 8am is an amazing experience as well! Definitely come and watch - or even feed yourself! All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come here again! Thank you :) Little advice: there are many bugs and midges (which can bite you really badly, speaking from experience…) around in the late afternoon and dinner time, so definitely bring a bug spray!

Since the kitchen is a camp kitchen there were no pots or pans provided but that was no problem since we were able to buy cheap ones at the Big W just a few bus minutes away.

Lovely place to stay and although we were a couple, we can see how this would be perfect for a family. We stayed in one of their cabins and it had all the amenities that would allow you to stay for over a week. The location is only down/up the road from the main parts of Airlie beach, however, if you’re a family going for a week away, I don’t know if that would matter as ‘main street’ is quite party-ish. Taxis are available and cheap too if you so want to venture that way.

From the looks of it, the cabin had been sat for a little bit before we arrived. The toilet had stains from being sitting un-flushed but clean. Ignoring that small issue if you could even call it that, it was perfect.

Great water park for children. It was very clean with a wonderful cabin well stocked. AC in all rooms. Washer, dryer with great cleaning supplies and soaps. Very large fridge and great stove and oven. Changed cabins for us for close location for children also as parking was difficult up a steep slope at first cabin. Very accommodating staff.

The wheelchair access bathroom had no shower curtains, a small sink with no vanity or shelves. Difficulty parking up very steep slope without a 4 wheel high vehicle. Lots of midges so bring mozzie coils and bug spray.

Last minute decision to go to Airlie Beach. Decided on the Friday night and we were not left with many choices but came across the 1 room Cabin at Discovery Parks Airlie Beach. 2 mins drive to the main town, great location. The 1 bedroom cabin fitted our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids) perfectly for the 4 days we were there. Great price , great location! Close to shops and beaches. Easy late check in as we drove from brisbane and arrived at 6pm and easy after hours check out! Friendly staff and fast responses to emails. Kids absolutely loved the pool there. Cabin was clean, beds comfy. Fridge, Tv , aircon, microwave all worked well! Would definitely come back and stay in the same cabin!

Shower drain was slow at draining water. Flow of water was great but the drainage was slow and water builds up fast.

The unit waa great, only one aircon but it seemed to do the job. The pool and watermark were fab. The children loved the jumping mat.

The price of ice creams $7 each!!! Our door was very hard to unlock, we couldn't get it unlocked to get in without assistance from staff and at one point we couldn't get it unlocked to get out, so we didn't lock it through the day when we left because we were worried about getting in and we didn't want to keep bothering the staff about it. Was a bit disappointed it wasn't fixed the first time I reported it.

Close to bus stop. Good value for money. Water park is a bonus. There is everything we need for cooking, which is nice.

There was no paper recycling bin on the property And surface of the pool was rough, I got scratched several times. bouncy pillow was fun in the morning but they slowly deflated it while it was still open rather than doing it after 6 pm, very hard to jump on in the late afternoon got bruise trying to jump and hit the ground below.

Given a map at check in,Very clear signage and easily accessible via walking around the park. Felt safe walking round the park. Super happy and polite staff. Great camping amenities like kitchen, and bbq area. We loved the pool and water park. Not too far out of town to be an inconvenient but far enough out it’s peaceful

Our aircon was a little dodgy sometimes just cut off, but not a major issue. I’m sure if we stayed longer we’d have had someone come and check it out.

Grandkids loved the waterpark, it was out of the main tourist area but was close enough if you wanted to dine out.

The facilities could have been improved at very little cost. We bought a table to add to the verandah for $50 from anaconda, the verandah had 2 chairs but no table. The camp kitchen had no utensils for cooking pots or pans. Great if you had a caravan but not so good if you were staying in the cabin. The addition of a toaster and possibly a microwave would also have helped. I stayed at a motel in Goondiwindi overnight on the way home and it had all of the above including knives,forks spoons. We were supplied with 2teaspoons, 2 coffee mugs and 2 glasses. As I said, it would be relatively inexpensive for them to upgrade the facilities.

Staff were lovely friendly and helpful. Even when we swapped rooms cause of the internet and tv. Were very accommodating. Loved the feeding of the birds, the games room, the accommodation was lovely and private and big kitchen and lounge and dining and bathroom. Coffee van was great. Kids loved the waterpark. And pool. And all the cockatoos. Was lovely all the wildlife.

The bed was very small for 2 adults. We are side sleepers and was very tiny. Like a small double. Recommend at least a queen. Did not sleep well at all. Rooms were hot only one air con in the lounge room and ment to do whole vila. The internet did not work at all, even though on booking i made sure there was internet in the listing. even when we swapped rooms it still didnt work the whole stay. . no smart tvs to unwind with a movie or keep the kids entertained after a busy day sightseeing or doing things at the park. So that was disappointing and no shade on the child pool. For $537 for 2 nights. Was very disappointing the fetures of the rooms.

I loved the Cabin we stayed in, so family friendly and big. Self contained was soo good, especially with kids. Parking space was great. The cabin was cool on arrival which was a bonus😊. The kids loved the water park. Cabins have enough space at the back to park your boat and even a hose. Location was so close to Airlie and Shute Harbour. We got free wifi during our stay, which was good for the kids.We have already booked our next holiday.
