The location is fantastic. It was close to the train station. The historical center was very close as was the church on the hill. There are many restaurants steps away. Maria, the manager, was very helpful and kind. She and another staff member carried all our bags up the stairs to our room. She called a taxi for us to go to the train station the morning we were leaving and it was taking forever for it to come. She became worried we would miss our train and she was going to drive us to the train station in her car.. The taxi finally arrived.

The room was small and our room had no place to put luggage. The floors are really smooth tile and when it gets wet it is extremely slippery.

Perfect location in proximity to the town, stairs to the beach very close. Very clean room. Very kind host Maria…helped in every way with questions, restaurants and places to go. Got a ticket to get a croissant or small item with coffee around the corner for breakfast. Room was nice, beach decor, new and updated.

Not easy to find, the car navigation did not take us to the location, had to call the host. There was only one chair in the room and really nowhere to sit other than the bed. Also, there is a lovely patio at the front of the building would have been nice to have a table and chairs to sit at.

The rooms at Franco’s House were well appointed and spotlessly clean. The location was absolutely perfect, close to beautiful, sandy beaches and an easy walk to many bars, restaurants, etc. Maria Antonietta greeted us so warmly and was the most amazing ‘hostess’ during our stay. She was available to assist with any request or query and nothing was too much trouble. Special mention must be made of Caterina, too…she was a breath of fresh air and made sure our rooms were cleaned to the highest standard and replenished with fresh towels. The girls made our stay at Franco’s House an unforgettable experience.

It wasn’t a huge problem, but, the all glass shower offered no privacy.

This was in a great location. It is located on a main street with a great amount of activity and shops,yet completely quiet in the room. Walking down to the beach and renting your umbrella and chairs at Lido club is good option. Maria, the host could not be a warmer and friendly person. She will put you under her wing and always guide you in the right direction both night and day. Thanks again Maria!

No fault of anyone ,but outside dining at end of July can be challenging.

Great location

We stayed at Franco's House Tropea for two nights. It was absolutely perfect. The B&B is in an outstanding location in the heart of the town just a few steps from the stairs to the main beach and also a beautiful plaza where we saw the sun set. By the way, you must go to the plaza for the sunset...it was so incredible that everyone clapped as if it were the performance of a lifetime, which it was. The rooms at Franco's House are new, reflect a beautiful design reminiscent of the ocean and were clean and well-appointed. Amazing glass enclosed shower too! Arriving in Tropea, we were greeted first via WhatsApp by the manager, Maria Antonietta, who helped coordinate our arrival, check-in and parking in a local public parking area just a few meters away. She was incredibly gracious, helpful and accommodating, and gave us a list of nice local restaurants to try. We ate at one of them and it was great. Maria Antonietta introduced us to a nice older gentleman, Biagio, owner of the store right next door and he gave us tips for the beautiful public beach in Tropea, and we also bought towels and an umbrella from him at a great price. This B&B is a gem and if you want a location near everything...including beach, restaurants and the historic center with quaint paved stone streets and alleys...you should stay here. Highly recommended!!!! Thank you, Maria Antonietta and team! You were wonderful!

we loved staying in Tropea at the Franco House. Tropea is a sweet little town. the Franco House is in a perfect location. We could walk everywhere from there. The ocean was in walking distance too. The town is up on a hill so you do have to go down several steps to get to the beach. There are many good restaurants, cafes, bakeries, bars, shops all nearby.

Besides the perfect location the property is well maintained. It is decorated super cute with lots of beautiful tile. If you step out onto the small balcony you could see the ocean. And Maria at the front desk was super helpful even before we arrived.

Everything was absolutely amazing! The location is the best you’ll get in Tropea, right in the middle of everything and a 5 minute walk to the beach. The host Maria Antonietta was by far one of the nicest people, she was extremely helpful and polite, she went above and beyond for us everytime we needed to ask her something. I would recommend Franco’s house to anyone travelling to Tropea, you will not regret it.

Franco’s House Tropea was the best hotel experience I have ever had. The staff went above and beyond and I have never felt such a warm welcome from hotel staff. The property was extremely clean and included many many amenities. If there was something I needed and didn’t have the in the room, Maria our hostess would arrange it immediately. We had clear communication with the hotel staff at all times and Maria made our stay so enjoyable. The rooms were large, clean, large bathrooms, and in the PERFECT location.

Franco’s house exceeded expectations!!! If your going to tropea this is where you need to stay!!! Its location is right in the middle of everything and the room looked better in person. Maria went above and beyond starting from helping us get the train timetables to Tropea and even calling the airport to help us with our lost luggage! We will definitely be back to Franco’s house.
