The location of this hotel is superb, with one end of the street leading to the main retail area heading towards Via Cappello (for Casa di Giullietta and Piazza Erbe), and the other end just yards from the fabulous Piazza Bra and the Arena. A great place to stay if you're in town for the opera! For some reason the restaurant is operated by different management for breakfast and dinner. The breakfast was superb and the staff super helpful (my wife is a coeliac and they never forgot) - good range of pastries and cakes (Verona is famed for cake!), and both continental and cooked dishes available, and proper coffee! At dinner, we found our waiter very attentive and the food pretty good. The gluten-free thing posed a few challenges; although GF options are available. The management made a gift of a bottle of prosecco to hotel guests to celebrate the opening of the opera season, which was most welcome.

Compared with other hotels in the area, the Bologna represents good value. I found the decor a little tired, the bed not especially comfortable and not much hanging space. We had a suite - a breakout room off the main bedroom - but this wasn't especially useful or comfortable. The TV didn't work, and there were no batteries in the RC. Although the rooms were refreshed nicely each day, getting service out of hours was a bit hit and miss, like getting milk for a cup of tea or a stopper for the prosecco. Some of the night staff appeared not to know where anything was, or who to ask for direction.

Perfect location near the Arena. Breakfast was lovely with a wide variety of choices. The restaurant in the hotel made a delicious dinner. We appreciated the hotel’s communication through the booking app which was especially helpful when we were running behind schedule for arrival. We really enjoyed our visit to Verona, in large part due to this excellent hotel. Tip for other guests: driving in Verona is confusing and the streets are very narrow. Ask for driving directions before arrival. Also, the valet is well worth it - just to not have to worry about finding parking!

No complaints

It was a separate building, but less than 2 minutes walk to the Arena. Quiet and well located, the property offers a location in the heart of Verona. The bathroom was new, the bed wasn't the most conformable but still great value for money considering the location

The lack of privacy, considering that the lounge was in common with other 4/5 rooms. Opened the door, I had a sofa and tables used by guests to have dinner or some rest. I tried to go go sleep early but you could hear other people around. Not a bid deal, but more a Bed and Breakfast style than Hotel.

The hotel was ideally located, merely steps from the Arena and short walks from shopping, good restaurants and the other major historic sights. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was bright, cheerful and nicely appointed, including a canopy bed. The breakfast room was sunny, airy, nicely decorated and offered an excellent buffet.

Our room was quite small, though not unusually so for a European hotel.

Warm welcome by Annabel. Explained everything well. Fantastic location at side of Arena and edge of old city. Especially view from window over huge square. Many lovely restaurants nearby. Bed was very comfortable, all well-cleaned. Breakfast was a good buffet including scrambled egg, sausage and bacon. The breakfast room is spacious. There's a good lift, attractively decorated and polished mirror.

There were one or 2 issues with the shower which I reported to reception - minor, re the shampoo dispenser etc.

everything was just perfect! superb location in the very center of the town. extremely friendly and helpful staff. the room aida was absolutely fabulous. the breakfast fulfilled all needs. valet parking worked very well. all in all it was a 10/10 stay.

The location, the morning breakfast- the best we have ever seen, and the most accommodating staff at the front desk and the dining room.

Our only disappointment was that we thought that the property had a rooftop terrace for all guests, it is actually one of the two reasons we chose the property. There were many photos on the website and we imagined sitting there in the evenings with a fabulous view of Verona. Only after we checked in did we find out that the amenity was part of a top floor suite and not available for general use. While we should have dug deeper into the website, the property should consider less attention to this limited facility. Other than this, we were extremely satisfied with our stay!

We stayed in the b&b just down from the main hotel. It was absolutely charming, beautiful old building, very sympathetically renovated. Always wanted to go behind those huge old doors. We stayed in Carmen which was delightful. The location couldn't be better. We nipped back during the Opera interval for the loo and water! Absolutely the best location ever. Lovely drinks and little cakes in the drawing room daily.

Noisy at night but that's what you get for such a wonderful location.

We are delighted about our stay at the hotel. The hotel is situated at a prime and central location, close to the beautiful Arena. The neighborhood is lively (especially on nights of opera) yet the hotel is very quiet (ideally in a small street). Breakfast is amazing, the best we ever had in Italy. Served at beautiful terrace, with very friendly staff. Fresh products, wide variety and excellent coffee. All staff of the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The room itself is very stylish, offers all modern comfort and has great beds. What's more, the hotel offers free bikes for guests, a great service which we have used all days.

Absolutely 5 stars! Just perfect! The rooms are lovely, very harmoniously decorated, very clean and comfortable. The staff are extremely dedicated, friendly and courteous. The generous breakfast buffet, fruit, prosecco, selection of breads, jams and savouries deserve special mention. The location is great, right next to the arena. And my daughter says the hotel is very child-friendly. She immediately wanted to extend our stay by a few days... our new favourite hotel! We will definitely be back as soon as possible...
