Beautiful property right at Nagoya Station. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. There are many stores and restaurants as well as a large Meitetsu Department Store next door. I did utilize the Meitetsu bus service which made it easy to get around the city. We chose this hotel because a tour bus was picking up our group in the morning so we did not have to worry about getting lost or being late.

1 - Because I made the reservation through Booking.com, the hotel did not accept my Marriot Rewards number. 2 - While using the gym is free, there Is a charge of 3,300 JPY per person to use the swimming pool. This is a higher end hotel so I was extremely disappointed to find out about the pool charge. Needless to say our party of 5 did not use the pool. That put a damper on our stay, especially after paying so much for the 2 rooms that we had.

Location is fantastic. The hotel is next to the central Nagoya train station and bus station and with hotel entrance to the main station concourses and the Shinkansen ticket office and platforms and access to all the main underground lines. Main Nagoya sights are nearly all within walking distance. All the hotel staff are extremely courteous and helpful throughout every part of the hotel. After the hustle and bustle of Nagoya the Hotel is an oasis of calm and beauty We particularly enjoyed Bar Estmare. This was our third stay and we are looking forward to the next visit. There is so much more still to discover in this beautiful hotel.

The deluxe twin room was beautifully appointed with plenty of space to move around and a good wardrobe space. There were lots of drawers as well which was a great bonus. The housekeeping service was very efficient and friendly as were all the staff in the hotel. The location of the hotel is fantastically placed for shopping and is directly opposite the train station exit and entrance for the airport express and easy access to the main station from the hotel itself. We did not eat at the hotel as we we particularly enjoyed the Est Mare bar every evening where, although a smoking and cigar bar, the atmosphere was great and the bar food was very good. I hope to try the afternoon tea in the lobby "Scenery" next time we stay which we hope to do soon. There is a lot to explore in this lovely hotel.

The hotel is beautiful in an art deco style. The deluxe twin rooms are comfortable, spacious with luxurious bathrooms. The bathrooms have a bath and separate shower. We did not eat meals at the hotel except for the lovely Este Mare Bar where we had delicious fish and chips and the The Scenery bar and restaurant where we had light snacks with coffee and beer. Both places are excellent with impeccable service. The lobby staff and housekeeping are equally charming and efficient. . Every time we stay here we find out something new about the location eg there is a Starbucks with outdoor roof terrace, a convenience store, pharmacy and escalator straight to Uniqlo all with easy access from the lobby area of the hotel!

I cannot find anything that I did not like about the hotel. The location is fantastic for the Train station, shinkansen and local underground stations. The area around the hotel and the JR Towers is of course very busy but the hotel is a convenient oasis in the vibrant heart of Nagoya.

Lovely hotel in an incredibly convenient location. We chose the Marriott as we had a short stay in Nagoya of two nights to go to Ghibli Park for two consecutive days on our way from Tokyo to Osaka and we wanted a hotel that would be easiest to find once we arrived via Shinkansen - the Marriott could not be easier on that front, being literally within the Nagoya Station building. I hadn't been to Nagoya for 15 years so I wasn't confident navigating, and staying here meant that there was no need - the station building has so many food and shopping options that (sadly - Nagoya seems like a wonderful city that we definitely want to return to!) we rarely left the building except to visit Ghibli Park. The hotel staff were very welcoming and warm, and very helpful with luggage forwarding and directions. The room was very clean and comfortable, and our room service meal (one of our party had been unwell) was delicious. For convenience and excellent service the Marriott cannot be beaten.

Location is strategic as it is situated right above Nagoya central train station. Pillow provided is comfortable and there was even iPad provided in the room for use. Room is spacious enough for myself and my 9yo son. They also provide children toiletries.

The breakfast spread is the same everyday. No change in variety at all. We stayed at this hotel for 8D7N. After the third day, I got sick of the same breakfast spread. Suggest that they change some breakfast items everyday and have new variety daily.

Good location. Clean room and friendly staff. However, the gym/swimming pool staff need more training in English or other foreign languages. They were unable to explain the policy, especially that the charge per person per day is from 12 pm to the next day at 12 pm, rather than the usual 24-hour period. I spent over ¥10,000 Japanese yen at 9 am with my daughters and son. After we finished, I was told that the payment was only valid until 12 pm the same day. If I had been informed beforehand, I would have brought them in the afternoon. None of the staff at the lobby or swimming pool reception mentioned this policy when I asked about the facility services.

The beds were so comfortable, the room was also quite large for Japan standards. Location in the train station was great and nice to be able to just go downstairs then out to the station.

The view was not great even though we chose "high floor" it was just of the building next door. Rooms were not together either. No laundry room which I suppose is normal in higher priced hotels but did not suit us

Spacious, comfortable and well maintained room, very helpful staff, and excellent, excellent location made it a top option for anyone visiting Nagoya. Restaurants, Takashimaya Department store, Uniqlo, Tokyo Hands, Bic Camera, Nagoya station, were all just an elevator or escalator ride away from the hotel lobby on 15th floor. The surrounding area of the station are high end shopping malls with plenty of food options and were all connected by underground passage.

the hotel was a bit busy with a lot of people coming in and out of the Nagoya station complex. However the complex and the hotel had the most number of elevators/escalators I have ever seen made moving around the buildings quite easy.

It is the same as any Marriott hotel Very clean, with bath tub, but what sets this apart is the staff. They were so courteous and polite,provided umbrellas when it rains, refuses tip (common in japan bit still surprising for a western chain hotel) the manager is always there to answer our questions and was very helpful and kind. The hotel is connected to the main Nagoya station and a lot of restaurants. you can easily walk around the subway and look for shops (which are many) with easy access back to the hotel. But the staff here was one of the best in my experience (and i have traveled and stayed in a lot of hotels)

during my stay i think they were overbooked and a lot of people were there so the check in was delayed but was expected and can happen in any hotel. otherwise everything was great.
