Well presented, as in photo. Well located at entrance to the village, with patio tables beside inner end of estuary harbour with boat jetty, and closest accommodation to the railway station. This hotel focuses on accommodation and guests, with only a small bar, serving in the lounge/dining area. The village curves around a river harbour and has a lot of historic interest to it.

We stayed in outside units which, though handy to the patio, were too small, certainly compared to the older more spacious rooms inside. Poor airflow to unit bathrooms. We saw some unhygienic handling of food.

breakfast was hot, fresh and tasty. There was a full range of choices on offer all served up with a smile. Poached eggs were perfectly cooked {if that is your preference} Coffee freshly brewed good range of teas and juices. Our room was a garden room with easy access and a wet room which was fully kitted out. We slept well in a very comfortable bed, extra pillows were in room if needed. We both ate an evening meal including a starter which all again arrived fast hot and tasty. ALL that we experienced at The Phillipa - drinks, food and accommodation were great value for money and provided by cheerful and skilled staff. Wish we had more time as the area is FULL of history. Thanks all.

Ideal for getting around, near to train station, local shops and pubs,and the harbour, very clean, neat and tidy, not a lot of parking but just across the road a public car park - which Donna told us about. Room good size, en-suite ,toiletries supplied, kettle, iron ironing board, tea & coffee - sugar & milk, bottle water - all complimentary, quiet, comfortable bed, very warm room - fan provided... Definitely recommend this place.. Breakfast tasty cooked and continental.

extremely clean, very friendly, especially Mark and Bell. Very helpful with local train travel plans too. Very quiet. excellent location for local trains to Sheerness and Chatham. Access to Fort Amhurst, Chatham Lines and Royal Engineers museum from Chatham. Possibly to Historic Dockyard too. Excellent location for the boat X-Pilot to Redsands AA Gun Battery etc... There's plenty of historic sites in the area and its well served by rail (although only every hour). Good free parking adjacent and in the local area.

Bathroom was a tight squeeze and the room was pretty hot. A fan was provided though and this mitigated most of the problem.

Very clean & tidy. Comfy bed which was needed after a long journey from Scotland. Great breakfast. Lovely staff, even helped be out with plasters for my feet after dancing the night away at a family event. Had a lovely comfortable stay. 100% recommended.

Nothing, enjoyed our stay. Personal tiny recommendation. A shower cap with the lovely products you supply would be great to save getting hair wet in between washes, in no way did this spoil our stay though. Loved the room & shower.

Nothing really. If I was being nit picky, I would have said a second towel per guest to enable hair drying. At dinner we requested a medium rare steak but it came medium to well. But these are really minor things and did not detract from our stay in any way. As above we found so much to recommend this property

From arriving at the queen phillippa we were made welcome the staff were super friendly and couldn’t do enough for you, breakfast was very nice with a good choice.The room we stayed in was small but more than enough for us and had everything in that we needed

The only real criticism for me (and it’s totally my preference)is that the mattress was soft and I prefer a harder mattress and that’s really it

this hotel has everything, rooms have an exceptional professional finish giving comfort and relaxing mode. Bar/restaurant has a friendly ambience , breakfast-great choice, the jewel in the crown is the beer garden , would be perfect in summer. Absolutely beautiful. The staff are very accommodating, nothing too much trouble. When down here again, will certainly stay here. Well done and the owner and staff should be very proud of their achievements.

The staff were friendly and super efficient. They couldn't do enough for us and made sure we wanted for nothing. Small challenges were easily solved. The hotel has a calm, relaxed atmosphere. Food was good with a reasonably priced menu and drinks. The patio overlooking the harbour was gorgeous and very well designed. Train station 4 minutes away and lots of parking areas.

Lovely location and a very clean beautiful b&b which is more like a small hotel. I stayed in a garden room which I would highly recommend. The staff were great and very accommodating. The breakfast was very good and the food in Jacey's bistro was very tasty and well priced. I had a lovely 3 night stay and would return if I were to be working in the area again

The only minor criticism I would have is that I was staying in a garden room which is detached from the main b&b and it would have been much easier to access the car park through the side gate which was locked than walking through the bistro each time. But I am being overly critical as the place is amazing
