Fully self contained with everything we needed. Washing machine and dishwasher a real bonus. Very peaceful with beautiful garden to look at. Loved watching the birds and listening to the Morepork at night. This was our last and our most favourite accommodation of our five weeks in New Zealand. Would definitely recommend. Just be aware the driveway is up a steep hill but we found it ok.

We heartily recommend the garden suite at Craicor Boutique Appartments due to the hosts’ attention to detail and their willingness to go the extra mile without being asked. It was wonderful to arrive to a snug suite with warmed towels, having been delayed on our day of arrival. The garden suite is well appointed, including some practical and pleasant extras, which I’ll leave as a surprise. The secluded garden is charming, offering displays of colour, various quirky points of interest, plenty of birdlife and somewhere to sit in contemplation, as well as glimpses of the bay below. A really lovely property in one of the most picturesque areas of NZ. Within walking distance of the main town and restaurants and ferry to Russell. The apartment had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay and our hosts were on hand if we needed anything. This was a very special place to begin our tour, just wished we had been able to stay a bit longer. Many thanks to Anne and Garth.

We loved our accomodation, the beautiful gardens, bird song and views were so lovely, and the room itself was so generous in size and had everything you could possibly need for a cosy and relaxing stay. Anne and Garth were very welcoming, generous hosts and took the time to advise us about where to eat/local attractions etc. The accommodation was excellent - stylish, clean and with everything we could have wanted. Very comfortable bed.

We liked everything about our experience at Craicor.

Thanks to Garth who welcomed us. We were in a lovely place, a little paradise. The garden is just magic and at the end of it a view on The bay. Waking up in such conditions is just a priviledge. Bed is extra, lot of space and kitchen full equipped. Garth gave us plenty of tips especially for the Waitangi Day held on february 6th each year, so we made exceptional pictures Thanks again, and of course we recommand this place.

A lovely cosy studio apartment with a deck overlooking a stunningly beautiful garden full of spring flowers which we were allowed to pick to put in the room. Taking the washing inside on a rainy day while we were out exploring was much appreciated. Owner was very chatty and friendly and we felt very welcome. Thank you

Was at the top of a very steep hill (which provided excellent views) but after one walk up we took the car for the rest of the stay. Not really a negative.

Loved being in a beautiful garden surrounded by birds. Well appointed with facilities such as a washing machine that made the stay very comfortable.

The rooms will be even better if lights are able to be dimmed. Also, the rooms would benefit from being fitted with curtains to ensure privacy after nightfall.

This is a beautiful, individual, apartment set among the trees on the hillside. Adjacent is a second apartment and the owners own home but with the trees and gardens surrounding it, you can barely see these from any window in the apartment. The front has floor to ceiling windows / doors offering a view across the trees of the bay. The facilities themselves are excellent - all kitchen facilities were in excellent order with just about every electrical appliance you could think of (even a waffle maker I think!). Very comfortable bed, very clean throughout. Lots of windows with good screens so you could open them without worrying about insects getting in. Nice and cool (there is air conditioning) but we did not need to use it as the trees offer shade and the windows let in cool air - we just used the ceiling fan when it got a little warm. For any bird lovers, the trees brought in a number of endemic New Zealand birds - we were lucky enough to see tui, fantails, grey Warbler and a sacred kingfisher, all within meters of the room. Our host, Garth, met us on arrival and offered great advice on things to do and places to visit in the area. He checked back in to make sure all was good during our stay also.

Nothing, everything was excellent and as described. Our expectations were high and we were not disappointed.

The apartment was clean, comfortable and garden was gorgeous. It was close to everything you needed on the beachfront but nicely tucked away for the peace and quiet we needed for our beak away. Hosts really helpful and friendly. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
