The property was clean and bedding was fresh. I was especially touched by the maintenance person on staff, Dan. He went out of his way to repair my wobbly walker not only making it usable again, but making it work better than I could have expected. Thank you, Dan. The desk staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was actually very good and filling. The breakfast staff kept the area clean and the food fresh and hot. Emptied coffee pots were refilled immediately as they were emptied.

The chair in room was very uncomfortable. I do use chair and side table to watch tv and eat The app for room check in/room selection/room key did not work. Initial room- ground floor facing parking lot. Felt unsafe. Asked front desk to change. New room 4th floor facing water. Attendant changed room with no questions, no attitude (I didn’t give reason) excellent service!! If app worked I would not have had to change.

Great location on the main street through Petoskey. Tons of restaurant options and shopping near by. View of the bay close by is beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and everything was clean! It was nice having an ice machine on our floor. The room had a refrigerator, which was a nice bonus.

We stayed on the first floor and the hallway was freezing cold. The door to the patio in the room didn't have enough covering with the curtain so some light came through, but not too bad. The view of the bay from the room would have been better from the second to fourth floors. I didn't think the room should be sold as bay view as most of the view was of the roof of the business next door.

Awesome stay with 2 suggestions- bathroom door won’t lock somehow the design was not too comfortable, sliding door had gaps and won’t lock. Secondly- we are from CA and very new to area , we were expecting the rack which usually displays all near by attractions so we can plan our day. We were lost on how to plan our day in the beginning but, Front desk staff was awesome who helped us with this by printing directions to go around and list of restaurants around. It helped a lot. Thank you.

Breakfast was awesome. I had an early meeting and she opened up the pool area for me about 45 minutes early. Would definitely stay here again. Beautiful view of the lake outside half of the room w. Friendly staff in the evening as well. Ends up extending my stay an extra day because of my long drive.

Tiny bit loud inside the rooms just because people were walking up stairs of me. Not a big deal. It goes with the territory when a hotel is built out of wood.

Very convenient location. Upper three floors have possible viewing of the lake down the hill. Breakfast was adequate - standard for these hotels. The room was very clean, smelled good, all necessities stocked and sheets were comfortable.

Didn't care for the sliding door that covered either the closet or the bathroom. Would prefer a normal closing door for the bathroom. There is really no need to cover the closet/clothes bar. The breakfast omelet was on the cheap side of things, and decidedly dry even at 7am .. scrambled eggs probably would be better.

Fresh, clean and modern. Very quiet. Beds were extremely comfortable. Nice spread at breakfast, we usually eat elsewhere but we stayed and had a nice meal!

Ice machine was crushed ice, snow cone ice, which is not what an adult wants in their evening cocktail! Barn door on bathroom just isn't private enough. We prefer a wardrobe instead of 3 wall hooks.

Location, staff, cleanliness, and breakfast were all wonderful.

Based on similar lodgings that I've stayed at across the upper mitt over many years, this is one of the highest in price for minimal amenities. While I appreciate the overall quality, the cost is not justified. The exercise area is minimal. The only perk was breakfast, and I paid extra for that. Overall, it was another gouging rate that prevented me from staying longer.

Friendliness of staff, location, cleanliness, pet friendly.

The chair in the room was terribly uncomfortable. My husband has a physical limitation which requires him to occasionally sleep upright in a chair. This chair had no arms on it and had a forward slant to the cushion which made it nearly impossible to use.

We felt so welcomed at Hampton Inn Petoskey! My family and I have lived in Michigan since we were kids and this was our first time here and won’t be our last! We had such a great time and I will def recommend this hotel to everyone!
