The staff was kind. The beds were clean & soft. The mini fridge was clean. Everything in the room was stocked. The grounds were clean and the ice machines worked.

The window lock was broken which made me uneasy just as a mom traveling alone. We had a few lamps missing light bulbs. The pool didn't have the heater on & was ice cold- not really their fault because they were without power for a few days- it came back on a few hours before I checked in so the pool wasn't a top priority. Same for breakfast- wasn't much available due to the truck being delayed- again not really their fault the storm knocked the power out. Just kind of a bummer to get a room specifically for amenities and they not be available.

We loved the location of the hotel and all the amenities. Breakfast was better than I expected! The pool was a little cold but it was in the single digits outside so I wasn’t expecting a sauna. The room was clean, beds and pillows were comfortable, and there was great water pressure in the shower.

The ONLY thing I did not like was the maid came at 10:30 even though I completed the online checkout and stated we would not be gone until 11. The do not disturb sign was on the door and she didn’t knock. Just tried to beat in the door it sounded like. They definitely need to knock before trying to get in.

Location of the hotel.It is located uphill in a small forestry city. We had a 1 night layover, driving from Ohio to DC. Room was spacious n clean. Housekeeping N reception staff were friendly.

Breakfast could have been better. There were only cut potato's and soggy French breadsticks on warmer. No eggs,no bacon nor sausages. Coffee N hot water was barely warm. The dining area was understaffed,as there was only an elderly man in the back kitchen,who rushed to change the coffee N hot water ASAP, after we had alerted him. Not being picky,but breakfast was really disappointing.

Breakfast was very good, coffee was great. Noticed that the little lady, Donna(?), who maintained the breakfast area was a non stop, hard worker who was constantly keeping everyone happy. Such a gem. Last year when I first stopped here she was just the same, hasn't changed. I will definitely stop here again on my way from MI to DC.

I liked everything about the place. But if there is anything I would change it would be to have a faucet with more of a reach over the bathroom sink. Right now it is very difficult to just wash your hands under the water spout it is so close to the side of the basin.

This is the third time we have stayed at this location while visiting our son at WVU and each time we have enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very clean, we enjoy having the pool and the gym available, and especially enjoy being able to have a fresh and healthy breakfast to start the day.

The only thing I would say with this trip as compared to our other two stays was that we stayed on the first floor this time and I didn't enjoy the room layout as much as I did on the third floor where we stayed both other times. Having the couch area to sit and read while my husband watched tv in the upstairs rooms was much more comfortable then the small chair with the reading light on the first floor.

Quiet location…….kids enjoyed the snack bar open all night with the front desk and i enjoyed not having to drive to find a store at 2am since we left the hospital. Loved the breakfast bar as well and the cleaning lady was really sweet

Figured I’d let the kids use the pool before we checked out and only downside was the flooring around the pool was extremely slippery…..I fell and my son fell as well just walking to get a towel from getting out of the pool and we also witnessed another little girl slip and fall twice in the hour we spent at the pool……rubber or grooved flooring of some sort would make it better than feeling like you’re walking on ice but other than the flooring we loved everything else about the hotel

When we checked in the room did not have a remote for the tv. Long story short, the tv was a Roku tv and a remote was not available. Owen, from the front desk was very helpful, tried his best to fix the problem and when couldn't he moved us to a new room helping us. Owen was very helpful, courteous, and just a really good person.

Love the room layout at this location as it is very quiet at night. Even though a number of families from a huge local girls' softball tournament and several families involved in a swim meet were staying in the hotel, it was still quiet at night.

Wish the pool didn't close at 10:00pm. After running around most of the day to move and organize my son's new apartment at WVU, we didn't make it back in time to cool off in the pool. And we REALLY could have used it with the heat.

The continental breakfast was very enjoyable and had a good variety of selections. The bed was very comfortable.

There should be towel racks and a fan in the bathroom. We were surprised not to see these items. The room remained chilly, despite adjusting the thermostat. The time on the clock in the room was about 15 minutes fast. It would be helpful to have the time reflect accurately or to be able to set it for the correct time. Neither was possible. We had a difficult time getting to the hospital on Tuesday morning because of icy travel, particularly the steep descent from the hotel. What should have taken 10 minutes became a 30-minute drive. We will probably stay at a hotel closer to the hospital the next time since our next visit will be in winter.

ALWAYS ONE OF MY FAVORITE STOPS WHILE TRAVELLING, LARGELY DUE TO THE STAFF. ALWAYS FRIENDLY, PERSONABLE AND HELPFUL. I ESPECIALLY WANT TO GIVE A HUGE SHOUT OUT TO LUKE, WHO WAS MANNING THE RECEPTION ON SATURDAY MARCH 22 2025. HE WENT OUT OF HIS WAY TO ACCOMODATE MYSELF AND MY PET. AFTER A GRUELLING JOURNEY TO MY LAST STOP BEFORE HOME, HIS WARMTH AND KINDNESS MADE MY DAY!
