Santiburi Hotel is on top of my list from my recent holiday travels. It is absolutely exceptional, the atmosphere inside, the location, the food at the breakfast buffet. The property itself is outstanding, located at the sea, in one huge tropical park. Every inch of it is taken care of, the beauty of this place makes me smile every time I think of it. In the near you can find plenty of small restaurants, food markets and shops. I have to mention the SPA that is absolutely special. I have taken the whole package and was treated with several massages, all of them done in utmost professional way. All Therapists and Front Desk Ladies (inklusive the Interns) were not only well skilled, but very friendly. You could see that they love working there and that they are there for the Customers. I give this place highest rating.

The staff are brilliant, I’ve been to Santiburi quite a few times, and I have to say the staff in all departments make the holiday truly memorable. The facility hasn’t changed massively since I first went there over 10 years ago, but the villas are spacious, comfortable and clean, set in fantastic gardens.

I found the GM rather distant, although he did appear infrequently, I didn’t see him really try to engage with any guests, which I personally think is a real miss, but it’s something which has been lacking with the last few managers, but it’s very noticeable now. GM has introduced a transfer charge to the Santiburi golf course, this is a genuine disgrace, and will further distance the hotel from an asset, but I guess the GM really doesn’t care, until guests stop returning.

I came to Koh Samui to find a place where I can recover after a few stressful years. Wanted worry free hotel with great food and peace. Santiburi saved my vacation! I escaped a "fancy" holistic retreat where conditions were not what I expected. I went to Santiburi at the last minute, and the hotel provided pure relaxation! + Beautiful grounds, big, but you don't feel it; well designed. + Managment of this hotel is up to highest standards. + Villa I got was beautiful, no noise except birds singing songs :) + Managers were present at all times, walking around, chatting with guests to make sure everything was all right. + Breakfast amaizing, I loved the avocado paste and everything else :) + Staff, super friendly and easy to communicate with. + The cleaning lady in my villa was amaizing. Super friendly. When it was raining, she created a beautiful elephant from towels:) I was travelling alone, she made me feel like I have a mother taking care of me. + The bathroom, the bed, design of the villa - just perfect. Enough space to unpack, two wardrobes. + Sport activities, tennis, a big and very well equipped gym, yoga, dancing classes (for extra charge). + Spa packages (for around 15000 THB you get a package of 5 hours massages you can use during your stay, this way I had a massage every day!) + Spa very nice treatments and great staff. + Consierage - great too. + In general, nothing was too much trouble. + The food, I ate only two meals per day, because the portions for lunch in a beach restaurant were so big I was just not hungry for dinner. The food was amaizng, beautifully presented and not overpriced like in other hotels I stayed. + Room service, just great! + Female solo traveller, I felt very safe in this hotel. + In the previous hotels I stayed in Thailand I just felt I was not getting the value for the money I paid, Santiburi is different, I didn't feel they are trying to cheat me or overcharge me.

Everything was perfect.

We have never experienced such a relaxing vacation in our lives! The atmosphere here feels like paradise – peaceful, beautiful, and absolutely perfect. The spa experience was truly amazing, offering the perfect touch of relaxation and luxury. We also had an issue with the air conditioning, but the staff handled it with incredible professionalism, upgrading our accommodation to one far beyond our expectations and possibilities. The staff are truly the best in the world – kind, attentive, and always going above and beyond. The overall experience was exceptional, and we look forward to returning!

The only minor downside was that the breakfast buffet wasn’t as diverse as we had hoped, and the restaurant prices were, in most cases, higher than what we’re used to in Europe.

Beautiful relaxing beach surrounded by palm trees which give natural shadow. We had a villa with beach access. It was nice to make just few steps to go the beach. Great breakfast.

Very bad matelas. Super hard. We slept very bad every night. And even the matelas in baby cot of our child it was similar quality. You have an impression that you sleep on the wood. Really necessary to change

The beach was amazing with possibility for long walks. Not all hotels in Koh Samui have such a nice beach - great sand and great for swimming and kids friendly. As one of the first luxury hotels on the island, the hotel is situated in one of the best parts of Koh Samui - incredible garden and beach. The beachfront villa was amazing and just next to the beach. It is the more expensive option, but I highly recommend it. The food at the beachfront restaurant was also excellent and there is a nice selection of fresh fish for lunch, but you can also reserve a fish for dinner. It is amazingly delicious, prepared whole, steamed using Thai herbs like ginger & lemongrass. The free ice-cream every day was much appreciated by our daughter. The hotel is also not far away from the Fisherman's village (nice restaurants and bars, marketplace every Friday evening) and not that far away from the Buddhist temples Big Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Yai) & Wat Plai Laem. You can order a taxi by Grab mobile app (similar to Uber) or a hotel car (a little bit more expensive). I highly recommend this hotel to both couples and families.

Loved this resort. Our modern grande reserve villa felt really luxurious and spacious. The room was clean and comfortable. The beach is fantastic! And the food and service were great!

Our friends paid less for their room (the exact same room next door). The hotel wouldn’t match their price because we booked via Booking.com. Hoping Booking.com will price match!

This property is big—very big—but you hardly feel it, which is a testament to how well it’s designed. In fact, day after day, we found ourselves loving it more and more. Yes, it’s starting to show its age in some areas, but it’s incredibly well-maintained and spotless, which only adds to its charm. The beach? Absolutely stunning. The beach restaurant? Equally beautiful, offering an unforgettable dining experience with unbeatable views. Even breakfast was a treat, with a gorgeous setting that made each morning feel special. The service was another highlight—always kind, attentive, and eager to help. Oh and please try their massages best one i had during my 6 week visit in the island. If you’re looking for a place that combines scale, beauty, and warm hospitality, this is it. We can’t wait to return!

The pool coussions are old and gross it’s time to change them.

Absolutely marvellous, peaceful and luxurious. Staying at Santiburi Koh Samui was the highlight of our weeks in Asia, when it comes to hotels. You start to relax the moment you see the facilities, everything is kept up to high standards, everything is spacious and the location is supreme. You're close to the beach and there's a main street not far away, which is a different universe. But you're on vacation, you deserve a break. This contrasts to other options on the East of the island, busier, perhaps fancier but for me nothing but concrete jungles. The beach is narrow but more than sufficient and supremely taken care of by the vast and attentive staff. The staff is another highlight here, you're never waiting long for anything, they're kind and knowledgeable. You also get a client relations person. The facilities are incredible, from a huge shallow pool to massages, restaurants and kids care. As we went off-season, it was luckily quiet. The breakfast is a feast and has everything you can imagine, from Thai specialities to French pastry, also fantastic fresh fruit and juices. The Wi-Fi is faster than most residences in Europe, in excess of 200 mbps, even in a sunbed. There are complimentary items like afternoon tea and ice cream hour. An absolute masterpiece and I look forward to go back!

They can't do much about the ocean getting littered with plastic, unfortunately. If you want to be anonymous, it's not great.

It was amazing. The staff were so friendly and great. The fact that we were able to have some icecream everyday as a treat from the hotel was an amazing experience and the pool was amazing.

We were told that we weren’t allowed to take out some fruit from breakfast however saw so many other guests doing it which made us felt uneasy and uncomfortable. We also signed up for Yoga however when we turned up on time at 7 am we were told that because not enough people signed up it was cancelled however no one told us this beforehand and we had no idea.
