It was a very unique experience, the hotel literally looks like a palace. Most of the staff was very nice and helpful.

Beware that not all rooms look the same, in the pictures we saw some very glamorous rooms, so we were a bit disappointed when we got a very "normal looking" hotel room. Some of the plugs in the room were not working, seemed like a faulty circuit. When I mentioned this at the checkout, the lady thanked me but did not apologise for the inconvenience, and didn't really seem to note it down either The spa and gym are a bit underwhelming. One of the treadmills needs replacement and there are barely any weights Ordered food once and had to go pick it up at the reception. Not outrageous, but at a 5 star hotel I would expect the luxury of someone from the staff bringing it to the room honestly Quite pricey breakfast and spa

Lovely hotel, very comfortable, well placed, great facilities. Delicious breakfast. Lots of space for relaxation, inside and in the garden.

The bar staff could learn a thing or two from the breakfast staff. Breakfast staff were observant and attentive. We went to the bar most evenings. The bar staff, in various configurations, were distracted, inconsistent, slow, inattentive, and actually a bit rude (I asked for the glasses to be put in the freezer for 15 minutes before our second round of cava, and the waiter said they already have cold glasses already and if I wanted them cold I should have asked).

The new young gentleman who takes cares of the guests cars and suitcases represents perfectly your 5*. All the ladies at the reception are just perfect. The bar tender is the best of the world and the young waiter with short blond hair makes you fell high in a minute. Shortly, you are the best of the best, congratulations and see you soon…

My wife disagrees if I sell our house to come live in your hotel

My stay in the hotel was excellent. - I felt very welcomed by everybody. - The hotel was meticulously cleaned and the atmosphere was awesome. The quietness of the room was perfect allowing a very good quality sleep. - The breakfast buffet was also great: a wide variety of choices and high quality food. - The location was amazing: 5 min from the centre of the city.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay in this hotel. However, below there are a couple of constructive points about what could be improved. - Although the mattress is extremely comfortable, the pillows are bobbly. - Although I did enjoy the breakfast choices, other omelette options were not mentioned by the staff.

The breakfast is phenominal! I think the breakfast was one of the loveliest of my life, no kidding. No comparison to the breakfast we received at the other four star hotels we visited...this was 'top notch' in every respect! Fresh Raspberry juice! Lovely garden area to enjoy a cocktail or two. Great location, beautul building!

The room had 3 steps down to the bathroom of which I wasn't aware. Though very safe, it still may pose a challenge for some seniors, especially in the middle of the night. The bathroom was beautifiul! Also, our room was near the elevator and you could hear it running. One night I heard a high pitch whining sound that lasted for a half hour. I thought it was some type of alarm or an elvator alarm. The staff told me there were no alarms going off that night, so it must have been whining from water going through some pipes, maybe someone was drawing a bath late at night?

This is a beautiful hotel with warm, welcoming staff. We stayed for our honeymoon and the hotel certainly made us feel special. The breakfast is amazing, the rooms are gorgeous and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. We stayed for 3 nights originally but loved it so much we opted to stay for an additional 2 nights. Perfectly located in the centre of Bruges too.

Spacious, peaceful hotel right in the city centre. Offered great tapas in the lovely green garden space

Followed the satnav but didn't find the hotel - the garage entrance had a white surround but did not clearly identify the car park. However, a quick call from the end of the street soon rectified the issue. A lot of steps to negotiate from the level -2 car park to reception. Not so easy when you have 2 suitcases and 3 other bags, together with a wife who has dementia and would only carry 1 bag - we were later offered assistance at reception but by then I had moved all the bags. So the above 2 issues didn't initially sell the hotel very well but the hotel itself easily won us over

This hotel feels like from a fairy tale and I felt I was a princess for a few nights. Definitively I feel only in Bruges you can get to experience this. It felt historical, well kept, good treatment from the staff. I stayed like in an "annex rooms", which I preferred honestly more than the "main building" since they seemed very new and modern and didn't clashed with the castle vibes. The room was huge, had everything you need, very well kept an clean. The bed was amazing, you just wanted to stay sleeping. The breakfast was superb also. It is located very near to the main square and has lots of restaurants nearby. Also very near the train station, 5-10 minute ride.

Everything was perfect.

Everything was perfect. I had communicated with the hotel via email about special room requests and they responded timely to my correspondence and exceeded my expectations on meeting the request. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly throughout our staff and cheerfully responded to our many questions regarding city activities. I also appreciated their assistance with holding our luggage before we could check in, making taxi arrangements for the 4 of us, and holding our luggage after checking out to allow more time to experience the beauty of Bruges.

My stay was too short!

Lovely hotel in a beautiful historic building that is nicely decorated and has great common drawing rooms to sit in and nice reception area. The christmas trees and decorations were especially outstanding and the christmas feature in the garden looked lovely. Our room was very nice with huge bed and nice shower. Really nice busy hotel bar that was well managed - went there 3 times and though it looked full they always found us a table and service was pretty quick. Overall I thought it lived up to its 5 star status.

Only a few minor comments. Small toiletries in bathroom but ok - e.g. small tube of shower gel though new one received each day. Tea and coffee in room was fine but only had creamer. I prefer milk to creamer even if has to be uht. No iron or ironing board in room though we didn't particularly need one its just something that is maybe expected in a five star? None of these things detracted on our stay - we had a great time.
