Breakfast was excellent, varied selection and good quality. Location was perfect, nice surroundings and easy access to the centre. Staff were friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed using the pool and sauna.

Not being able to access the TV was a little disappointing. Christmas and Boxing day was when this was the most inconvenient as we were in the hotel for most of the day. It would have been nice to have been able to access movies as a family during these moments. The English channels were news channels and comedy weren't ideal. We couldn't even add English subtitles. This didn't spoil our stay and we would definitely return. However, I do feel having Netflix or access to movie channels would be useful for evening times and those times where families choose to relax before or after going out.

The service in this hotel from arrival to departure is exemplarly - The Room Service Menu and quality is excellent and would be at home in most five star restaurants. The delivery timescales from order to delivery were unbelievably short. Check-in and Check out were professional, efficient and prompt. The room was a good size for cost versus quality and the cleaning staff were quick, thorough and replaced any used towels or tea/coffee in good time. The rooms were always clean and tidy after housekeeping had done their work. Location is excellent. Bar and restaraunt were excellent and good size quality breakfast.

Like many great hotels in big German cities this hotel is not cheap - this is not due to the hotel itself but the rise of cost in living in many places. Parking is costly but secure - 35 Euros per day in my case and the cost of breakfast is over 30 euros but as I said be aware of this - the cost versus quality is still excellent. Its not the hotels problem but the general cost of living increase everywhere.

Unfortunately, I discovered upon arrival that the hotel pool was out of service due to construction that week. I was disappointed not to have been informed of this beforehand or at check-in. Had I known, I would have requested to cancel my stay and return at another time. Instead, I found a sign directing me to use another hotel's pool, which was unappealing and couldn't compare, along with the receptionist's comment to take my robe with me (this must have been a joke 😂). No thoughtful gestures were offered, such as a complimentary breakfast or a drink at the bar. Despite this, I've had many good experiences here before.

Large centrally located hotel, newly refurbished. Comfortable beds, very clean and a wonderful spa. Executive lounge area was impressive. Easy parking and within a short walking distance from most attractions.

Although the food at the breakfast was well made the breakfast area itself was too small and the options not varied considering the class of the hotel. The TV in the room was almost only in German with no streaming support, movies or non news English channels. Parking is expensive.

The staff were friendly ,welcoming and helpful. The set lunch in the piano bar was delicious and good value for money.

The tea and coffee making facilities in the room was not well stocked and there were no tea spoons to stir your coffee or tea which as the milk was powdered made it difficult to make a brew. It would have been good to have a copy of the menus in the room and some imformation about the city instead of having to scan for information with a QR Code. A TV Channel in English would have also been good.

Breakfast was awesome and restaurant staff too. Hotel itself is looking good and the location was perfect. Nice big TV in the room. Comfortable beds.

I didn't expect when you book your stay for 4 people and they gave us 2 x 140 cm wide beds. That's really not sufficient and that's definately something you don't expect in a hotel of this category. Front desk staff could be more helpful. Again, in this kind of hotel when you ask for directions you expect exhaustive explanation and not just an answer,,take a taxi". There was no staff around the pool and sauna in the evening.

The breakfast and the servers were the BEST part of our stay. It was so delicious and clean and the people working in the breakfast area were soooooo nice! Room was clean and comfortable- location was excellent could not have asked for a better location. Always love to stay at Marriott especially when I’m away from home. Feels familiar and nice — comforting.

There was no early check-in even though I requested it because we were traveling all night and were very tired. Would have been nice to put our luggage down and relax a bit. Instead we had to leave our luggage and walk around town when we were literally exhausted from travel. That was the worst.

Very good l8cation. Very good bed. Swimming pool. And very nice staff, especially the staff at the breakfast and in the puano bar. The salmon tartar is very good quality. Norwegian salmon I guess.....

The prices in the piano bar are bit too high. And the beef at the piano bar (cant remember which one) was very difficult to chew. But I guess it was an "accident" this time. The rogen brot with mett was better before (I have stayed there some times) when I / we need to see something else than Bergen / Norway. The mett was not so good this time. Perhaps it is ok to have one more type of beer to serve in the piano bar.

Very comfy rooms with seating as well as beds. The king size was a proper one rather than separate beds adjoined. Having a fridge, coffee machine, etc, was much appreciated and very useful.

The facilities are lovely but the pool is very cold and the sauna is very hot. There are no showers in the communal area between sauna and pool, necessitating a trip back into the changing rooms each time.

The pool and sauna were great. Breakfast was amazing. Anything you could ask for was on offer.

They took £200 from my card without asking, plus the £125 as a holding deposit. When queried, they said its the computer as it took payment for a nights stay even though I had already paid in advance. I had to wait several days to get the money back.
