We had a great time staying at the hostel. it was clean and vibrant, felt very safe, and the staff were very helpful. Nothing was ever too much and resolved quickly. Special thanks to Matt . Thank you so much for being so kind and helpful. There is plenty of space to relax and cook your own food if required. There is a pool table and dart board in the basement. The location is amazing , toilets fine, and showers were great. Don't let the word Hostel put you off. Its award winning for a reason. We look forward to returning in the future. Thanks again
Nothing, everything was beyond what we expected.

I liked staff friendliness. The shower was surprisingly pleasant. Freedom to come and go. Able to book 1 extra night very easily. And even though it would have been £26 for the extra night in female dorm. And £21 for mixed. The staff member said he was only charging me £21. Resident Shaq was nice to chat to as well. It was actually 6 bed not 4 bed. Haha i need to relearn counting!
Initially I didn't like that I'd been swapped from mixed dorm to all female. As I'd already responded via email about that. Couldn't connect to WiFi at all. But i had plenty of mobile data.

I liked my stay at the hostel. The staff are absolutely amazing, ready to help. Showers, toilets are cleaned several times a day. It is exceptionally clean everywhere in the building. The kitchen has everything you need for a couple-of-days stay. Free tea and coffee are a bonus. Our room had two heaters, so it was quite comfy. The hostel is located in the city centre which is a huge advantage too.
Almost all the disadvantages are based on the fact that the building is quite old: every step is heard, you can hear every time somebody opens a door nearby. The space in the toilets is very limited. Some showers missed hooks on their doors.

The value for money is amazing and the reception staff are so lovely and helpful! It is right across the road from the train station and there is a Wetherspoons at the end of the street. I wish I could remember the guy at reception’s name because he was so nice. I want to say his name is Matt ☺️
It is very basic, but you do get what you pay for. We were there for Sam Fender so it was full of people that were there for the same reason which made it loads better. We have stayed here twice now and we will definitely be back. Also, there are shared toilets, but we never had any issues.

It wasn't my first stay here but I had to go back to Newcastle and I already knew I would stay here again. Cheap but comfortable and plenty of space in the rooms. The common area was nice too. I was lucky as it wasn't as busy and generally everyone staying in my dorm was respectful.
It was too hot in the room and the window was very heavy and I couldn't open it. Some minor wifi problems and the connection was bad in the common room. Also you could hear people's footsteps on the corridor.

This hostel is great one thing I did like was how handy it was from the train station and the kitchen was nice and handy for my friend to make her breakfast in the morning and it was really close to the nightlife.Everything was great to be honest deffo will be back in the future. Also have to say a great thanks to the staff for getting my suitcase open again for me as I locked my keys inside
The only bad thing I can say is the bed was comfy and the duvet cover but I will be bringing my own pillow when I stop again just cause the hostel pillows are really hard there so hard I had to put my t shirt under my head but other than that everything was good.

Locker under bed for valuables. Room next to bed for backpack and bag. Bathroom with separate showers across the room. Very good kitchen with lounge in basement and another one with TV next to kitchen. Kitchen has extra food with MW and hot water for coffee and tee with tea/coffee/sugar provided, plus frig. Hostel in good position near stores, restaurants and bars. Many thrift stores in area. Friday and Saturday night the area was beaming with party goers at the locals bars and restaurants.
Nothing.

Location superb 5 minutes walk from Newcastle Central Station on main street. Friendly staff. Warm female dorm. Clean beds and linen and comfortable deep mattress. Fully equipped kitchen with help yourself tea & coffee.
No individual lights or dorm beds so main light had to be put on by individuals in order to see so disturbing for others.. Sash window in dorm was not sashed and just falls so was held open by someone's rolled up jumper. Dangerous as heavy if falls. Needs repair Food allowed in dorms so smelled as left on window ledges/ mantelpiece Metal Lockers battered and broken Slightly scruffy dorm decor. Lingering food smells in corridors. People laying around on floor of common rooms so gave the place a bit of a,homeless shelter vibe. Loos and showers quite a long way from female dorm.

The location was conveniently situated for my daily commute to the train station and university. The constant presence of the 24-hour reception provided a sense of security and convenience. Anthony demonstrated exceptional customer service and possessed an impressive knowledge of the city, which he shared with me in a welcoming and informative manner.
The Wi-Fi coverage in the hostel was inadequate, resulting in poor connectivity in certain areas. This is a crucial aspect that could significantly enhance the guest experience. Otherwise, the stay was satisfactory.

1.Clean bedsheets, comfortable bed.Female dorm on the 1st floor.Even though my luggage was heavy,l was offered help by one of the staffs. 2.Room is spacious, not too cramped with beds. 3.Loved the kitchen. Its fully equipped.Fridge is clean and not over stuffed .Free bread, coffee, tea provided.Absolutely amazing. 4.Bathroom is another factor l liked in my stay. Its clean. The shower facilities have two doors .One to shower, and then you step out to change in a small space provided which is another fab idea. 5.Hostel is 5 mins walk from the train station. 6.Lots of shops, restaurants around. 7.Initially the WiFi takes time to connect in laptop.
Nothing.It was worth the money.
