Central location and so we could walk to all parts of Tours we wished to see. Comfortable bed in adequately sized bedroom. Good shower and spacious cubicle . Pleasant little breakfast room with adequate cold buffet.

Only one dislike. No door on the cupboard in the en suite, housing plumbing, electrics and general services. Not a pretty sight. Other comments. Hotel entrance is just a house front door onto the street so easy to miss. Characterful creaky narrow wooden staircases. 1 flight to reception, Further 2 flights to our room. I'm a fit 74yr old and so could manage. A customer with any physical or health disability would struggle. There is no lift.

Location is excellent, just a few minutes walk from the central train station/city centre. Room had modern fittings, nice bathroom/shower. Our room was facing an inner courtyard so was quiet. Free Wi-Fi worked ok for us. Staff were friendly and polite. Breakfast was good for the price - no cooked food but a choice of fruit, yoghurt, cereal, pasties, ham & cheese with fresh coffee and juice. All rooms have an electronic key tag which also works on the front door and is very secure/easy to use.

Check-in starts at 5pm and we would have liked to do that a bit earlier. The hotel entrance is an in auspicious single door shared with other businesses. The entrance stairs to the upstairs reception are in the midst of re-decoration, but once inside the rooms/breakfast room are all OK.

A discreet and spotless little hotel close to the station. Very close to an excellent bistro serving local specialities. The entry is deceptively modest, but it led into a room where the spacious ensuite shower gave it a sense of luxury above its star rating. Service: we arrived earlier than the usual turnover time and had also forgotten (till a late stage) to notify the hotel of our arrival time. As soon as he got the message of our arrival, Monsieur Paul came and found us (in the nearby bistro), and showed us in with unflappable good humour. So, be aware it is necessary to let the hotel know when you are arriving, as you may not be able to get in immediately if you do not. This is not unknown in France (English tourists take heed). But it was managed beautifully. The room was at the back and very quiet, (many hotels in central locations are not). Breakfast at 10 francs + Tax included a sourdough loaf that was memorable even by French standards, and the butter included a choice of cultured butter (wish we could find it more easily in England). Monsieur Paul also provided us with a map and pointed out the main areas of attraction.

I'm accustomed to the notion that a small family hotel might not have a permanently manned desk but it may take other Brits by surprise. Better to warn them that this hotel really does need a reasonably defined arrival window. I forgot about this so, my own fault that the hotel was taken a bit by surprise and as I say in the review, Monsieur came looking and found us - so the service was excellent.

Location is right next to the train station we needed to take for the next leg of our trip. There is an excellent restaurant next door owned by owner of hotel. The staff was wonderful-Mack. A nice typical BNB type breakfast.

Room is very small. The entrance hall needs refurbishing. There are little things than can be done to make this place better. Example—the plants outside the window where we had breakfast were dead. Would make it more quaint to see a few flowers there. A Nespresso type coffee machine would be welcome for the early risers.

Smallish room but with Very comfortable bed and very good shower. The receptionist is extremely helpful, especially offering to help carry our luggage up to our room on the 2nd floor via the somewhat narrow staircase, and down again upon our departure. Room got warm quickly and stayed warm enough during the night with the aircon switched off and only the bathroom heating on. We could hear footsteps of the guests in the room above us but all in all it was nice and quiet during the evening and night. The breakfast is varied and good (excellent bread!!) Great location to start exploring the old town with overnight (paid) secure car parking nearby.

Our room was comfortable, spacious, and well equipped. Marc, who seemed to be responsible for everything from reception to cleaning, was marvelous. The location couldn’t have been better.

The public spaces are threadbare, the stairs are steep, and the breakfast, despite Marc’s best efforts, was poor.

Made welcome on arrival. Room was fine - clean & bathroom modern. Good location for walking to the town. Handy to Rue Colbert which has a lot of restaurants on it. Handy to train station. Parking is on the street - free after 6.30pm. Might need to park in a side street. Parking building nearby if you need it.

Excellent location at walking distance within the city centre. Very good park house available steps away. The duty manager greeted us at the door, helped with luggage, booked a table for dinner, was very friendly and spoke super English; thanks Marc! The room was spotless, very comfortable, warm and quiet.

Nothing worth mentioning.

This is a small hotel in an excellent location. The pleasant rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. Good sized shower. Staff all excellent: very helpful and friendly.

There was an odd noise at intervals during the night. Towels a little aged, but perfectly acceptable.

Really nice location, just crossing the street from the train station and a good place to explore the city walking. The room was bright and spacious. Everything was clean. Very comfortable bed.

There is no lift, so it was a pain to carry all our luggage two sets of stairs.
