Location is ok,super friendly staff, there’s a little cafe offering breakfast in the morning so if you want a quick grab of bites and then continue for your adventure it’s convenient elsewhere just go to the bakery next street it’s convenient, also it’s close to many bus and tram station.

The floor is cold so make sure you bring your own loafer or slipper, the washroom can be better if the toilet and shower room is separated instead of a single unit hence multiple users could benefit from it .

It is a must visit if you are looking for a budget friendly hostel close to the railway station. Most places in the city centre were accessible by walking. The hostel was clean and staff members were friendly. Hostel was equipped with kitchen, laundry space and playing room. Instructions to get inside after reception hours were clear and easy to follow. Would definitely book again if I go to Turin.

My stay in Tomato was excellent, this was my first solo trip and i think i made the best decision ever by choosing them as a hostel, everything is super clean, towels are provided, i was in a room of four and it was quite nice, beds are super comfortable, each bed has a lamp to avoid disturbing others. You can have breakfast in the morning for a cheap price. The staff are super kind (Carlotta and Thomaso were so friendly). I didnt go during the high holidays so i didnt meet a lot of you guys people, but there are different facilities in the hotel to help you know others (ping pong table, card games, there is a kitchen as well) and a small terrasse. As for the location it was super close to everything i didnt take the bus

The rooms are very spacious and the bed was comfortable. This hostel is very quiet, which for me was perfect, but if you are looking for a social place I don’t think this is it. I enjoyed the kitchen which was fully stocked for cooking, and there are many quiet areas to read, relax or do some work. The location is amazing, walking distance to almost everything you’d want to see and a short walk from many trams or the metro. The staff here were also extremely friendly and kind.

More privacy in the beds would be ideal.

-large cosy communal room with quite some things to do -nice mix of people -excellent location

-ventilation/fresh air in both caferoom and in the basement (kitchen and communal area) could be a lot better. -cleaners to eager to throw away fridgefood when they cant find a label (used my own not the one the hostel is using). Can happen in any hostel, but it was a first for me

Location great within city centre, all members of staff were super helpful friendly. The room was nice and homely. Nice shared spaces downstairs with soft music. Other guest all nice and friendly. And the hostel even let me keep my luggage there safe all day even after check out 10/10

Unfair to say this but they had some maintenance going on next door at mid morning but didn't disturb me too much and wasn't the hostels fault and would only be a one off but only thing I can think of as a negative all else amazing

Tomato Backpackers is a charming, clean and comfortable place in the heart of the San Salvario district of Turin. The room was simply furnished, but had everything that I needed. The beds were super comfortable, the windows were excellently soundproofed, the water dispenser was a great touch, the coffee at the bar in the morning was wonderful (and you could take it up to your room and have coffee in bed!) A great to stay in Turin for a few nights.

The air conditioning worked VERY well, but was directly opposite the bed, so that it would blow on you at night. The window in the bathroom didn't close properly, and the shower cabin was TINY (even if the bathroom was very spacious).

Great location not far from Porta Nuova station which mean that we were able to explore Turin mostly on foot. The area that the hotel is in (San Salvario) is also great, lots of bars and restaurants with mainly locals. The room was perfect, had everything we needed for 2 nights, overall a very comfortable stay.

Wonderful hostel, lovely basement with kitchen and facilities, they also have private yard which was nice. we slept in a private room which had private restroom too. Everything was clean and when the aircon wasn’t working the staff helped us right away. awesome location too, really cool neighborhood with lots of bars and restaurants, 7 minutes walk from porta nova train station and the shuttle to the airport.
