It was new and sparkling clean

Staff at the front desk were nice, but super slow, often chatting between themselves instead of helping customers (except manager). We were only two customers at the time, so we ordered two plain black coffees and it took them good ten minutes to pour them and another 7 to hand it to us over the counter, because they were chatting. We would still be waiting there if some lady didn’t come and needed help, which they would not have noticed if I didn’t point it out. Also, check in was at 4, but our room was not cleaned until 6:30 (two families before us were also waiting) - the manager said they were understaffed and eventually went to help cleaning people herself.

Our stay at the Flagstaff Hyatt Place was absolutely wonderful! Everything exceeded our expectations—from the clean, comfortable rooms to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Big shout out to Brooklyn at the front desk for being so friendly and helpful—she truly made our stay even better. One of the highlights for us was how pet-friendly the hotel is. They even gave our dog a welcome treat when we checked in, which was such a thoughtful touch! We felt so comfortable here that we ended up extending our stay by another night. We’ll definitely be coming back the next time we’re in Flagstaff. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed the hot breakfast (eggs, sausage etc). Coffee was very good too. I liked the variety in the seating arrangement with some bar chairs and some cafe style chairs. We enjoyed the news station that was playing on the TV since we had been out of contact for sometime.

There were a few items that needed to be addressed in the bathroom. The toilet seat was not firmly attached and it slid back and forth. The shower door did not stay closed and it would drift up to 5 inches allowing the water to escape to the bathroom floor. I told the receptionist and they made a note so I hope the two items will be addressed.

It was fresh and cheerful! All the staff was very friendly. For example, the front desk person provided recommendations on local restaurants when we checked in, gave us bottles of cold water. And building engineer was on the elevator with us, and was very responsive to questions we had about history of the hotel.

Shades on windows didn’t block light, causing us to wake up at 5 am.

Price, hub location, breakfast, and cleanliness of room. Grand Canyon southern rim, las Vegas. Meteor Crater and Sedona. Good dinning.

Quality of the build...? Tile work...shower shelf.(cut my hand). Wall paper. Windows not tinted. East door close even if have the card.. pool but not in use. Cost was not what was advertised. $128 but charged $168.

The hotel is close to NAU and shopping, and you can walk to places for groceries and to grab an ice cream or coffee. The renovations are beautiful, and the room and bathroom were both much nicer than expected. The beds/linens and couch were all very comfortable.

Parking should be free. There could also be some type of basic cold continental breakfast option (muffin, juice, cereal, etc.) that comes with your stay vs paid.

The Hotel was very clean, staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was OK, not great but not bad. The gym area was adequate for a short stay. The hotel and its property was very clean and inviting. Parking lot is well lit.

Breakfast bar could have been much better given the pricing. It was adequate but not what I was expecting.

I liked the room I booked on 10/7/2024. I wasn’t too pleased with the one I booked on 10/15/2024.

The parking fee was waived for my booking on 10/7/2024 but not on my booking on 10/15/2024. I found that a bit annoying especially since I paid for breakfast for the booking on 10/7/2024 and it did not show when I registered at the desk. It took a while for the clerk to straighten it out.

Good location and facilities

Breakfast was disgrace, I partly blame fellow customers who seem to just make such a mess and expect the staff to clear up afterwards but that’s when this place falls short as nobody was clearing up. Also I don’t think they should be charging for car parking, it’s not like this is the centre of a major city. Hyatt brand I think is reducing so far as all round quality.
