It was a fun vibe with nice front desk staff. I didn't use the outdoor areas but was impressed by what was available and how nice the grounds and pool area were maintained.

The "amenity" charge. I guess this is because you give out a "free" bottle of water when a guest arrives, but I'd rather just purchase that for what a bottle of water actually costs. Having $15 randomly added to the bill means that the rate quoted on Booking.com is not accurate. Hidden costs, like "parking" or "amenities" is a deceptive practice. I really liked your motel and all the efforts that went into giving it a different feel than the run-of-the-mill locations. Please drop the "amentities" - it was a bummer to see that after having such a good impression of your site.

The vibe of this place is great, it really makes it a gem. I have stayed here four times now and every time is consistently great. They also have EV chargers so I'm able to charge my vehicle overnight. This hotel is always my overnight stop to break up my trip from CA to NM. I always recommend this place to anyone passing through Flagstaff.

Some of the body wash and lotion bottles needed to be refilled, but I notified front desk who was super helpful. Honestly, if that's the only thing that needs to be addressed, I say this place is doing quite well :)

The rooms were comfortable, the outside area is fantastic! The free board games from the office was amazing along with the Cornhole bags.

Not necessarily the hotels fault, but if they allow dogs, there should be sections of the hotel just for pet owners. The dog in the room next to us kept barking at in the middle of the night and waking us up.

Typically, I give motor inns the side-eye and a hard pass, but this one? Absolute game-changer. From the moment I checked in, it was clear this place was shooting for the stars (and nailed it). The staff? Out-of-this-world friendly and accommodating, like they'd just graduated top of their class from Galactic Hospitality Academy. The redesign of the place is clearly a labor of love—every detail, from the lobby vibes to the aesthetic snacks (yes, even snacks have a vibe here), screams thoughtfulness. Now, let's talk rooms. Picture this: you walk in, and bam! You’re greeted by mood lights and an actual disco mirror ball. I half-expected Star-Lord himself to pop out and hand me a Walkman. But wait, there’s more! The bed was so comfy it probably has its own gravitational pull, and the towels? Honestly, I felt fancier wrapping myself in those than wearing a tux. Need a shower? No problem. You’ve got a roomy little number with steady, hot water—no desperate three-minute sprints here. And parking? Plenty of space to park your Millennium Falcon and the family minivan. The cherry on top? Stunning mountain views and a retro ‘70s astronaut theme that’ll transport you straight into a Guardians of the Galaxy reboot. At an actually affordable price, this place defies the laws of Flagstaff lodging economics. 10/10, would disco my way back here in a heartbeat. Houston, we have a new favorite motor inn. 🚀

Nothing, it was a stellar experience

We absolutely loved this hotel and were gutted we were only here for a one night stopover on our road trip! The location is excellent, with many restaurants and shops around it plus plenty of free parking for your vehicle. The staff were welcoming & friendly and we appreciated the complimentary welcome drink. The hotel has an outdoor pool, fire pits & plenty of benches for you to sit outside. There’s also a laundry service, a restaurant on site that serves Mexican food and complimentary coffee in the mornings from the hotel reception / lobby area. The room itself was clean and smelt fresh upon entering, very cosy, a VERY comfortable bed & pillows and it felt very homely. I appreciated the amount of mirrors & full length mirrors in the room when so many hotels have just one small one where you can’t see what you look like which is always irritating! As for the theme; this is the best bit. It’s all Americana themed and the rooms are so unique and quirky, it’s different to anything else simple and minimalistic that any other 4* hotel would offer. Well worth a stopover if you’re in the Flagstaff area or travelling route 66.

The only thing I can comment on is the bathroom itself (where the shower & toilet are) was quite small; but this didn’t bother either of us. The bed itself was a small double / double so not huge amounts of space but again, this didn’t bother us, just something worth mentioning.

Wow, what a great place - has been completely refurbished into a themed 1960s motor hotel and has been done brilliantly well. Our rooms were very spacious and extremely well equipped. The pool was great and the garden seating areas around a large fire pit were very well maintained - a very social area in the evening for guests to enjoy. The staff were really nice and gave us lots of advice on things to see and do around Flagstaff. A great place to base yourself if visiting the Grand Canyon and Sedona. Would highly recommend this brilliantly quirky motor hotel to anyone as the location on iconic “Route 66” could not be better for access to the lovely downtown area and the amazing major attractions close by.

Nothing - everything was great.

Location, cleanliness, staff, decor/esthetic, comfy beds and pillows.

AC unit was struggling. Room 125. No matter the wall setting it never got any lower than 76. Tolerable but a bit stuffy/uncomfortable with high 80s outside.

The Americana Motor Hotel is a thoughtfully designed gem with a retro vibe and fun amenities like a heated pool, fire pits, and complimentary bikes. The location is fantastic, making it easy to explore the area. I especially appreciate the pet-friendly policy without the usual steep fees—such a rare find! The rooms are exceptionally clean, and the staff is responsive and genuinely accommodating. Highly recommend for a comfortable and memorable stay.

The designated dog area is a basic fenced dirt lot—better suited for quick potty breaks than actual play. Unfortunately, the dog waste bin was overflowing and didn’t appear to be emptied at all during our stay from Saturday to Monday.

Room was cozy, clean, staff were friendly at check-in. Loved all of the retro decor in the room, including the disco ball. On-site Mexican takeaway food was tasty (the hotel did let me know they sometimes close earlier than their posted hours). Easy access to nearby freeways, and in close proximity to cute coffee shops. Appreciated being in a second floor room.

I appreciated being in the building farthest from the road, but it was also closest to their dog park area. So you could hear dogs barking right after 6AM. This room was also at the junction of the staircase, so you could hear people coming & going. Walls might have been a little thin too; could hear the neighbor’s phone alarm going off in the morning.
