Very clean and well-maintained property with a super friendly staff. Heated pool was clean, good sized room, laundry facilities, good value.

Awkward bathroom door situation in our room with very little space to maneuver around the bed.

I arrived late 11:15 pm due to late AMTRAK arrival. I'm 77 & was by myself, no vehicle. The receptionist was alone. My room was a long ways up a very steep hill & then a long block ahead. I had a heavy roll on. I struggled to get up that hill. There should be some option for help when that situation arises. The receptionist seemed a bit panicked. I had foned them at least 2 times from the train & told a receptionist train was late. At that point the receptionist could have asked me if I had any special needs. I will make sure next time I provide that info. The morning receptionist didn't know basic info such as: where is the Flagstaff Visitors Ctr located. Thank U.

Loved the size of the Presidential Suite and how the property was nestled in the hillside below where the Snowbowl is.

When we checked in the clerk checked us into the wrong room. Which is fine shit happens. The fact that the 1st room was up a steep hill and at the very end of property with 2 full suitcases and 2 full duffel bags after a 27hr train ride then turn right around and fix the issue sucked. The fact that I had to conquer that hill several other times was a challenge at 7000 ft above sea level but beauty doesn’t come without a price and a little hard work.

rooms was very small. I rented 3- rooms and got charge per room making me pay taxes 3- times. not fair

The beds were comfortable and clean. The pool was nice. The staff was very nice and accommodating.

The room was small for having two queen size beds. There was no place for the second person’s luggage. There was no towel bar in the bathroom. The rain shower was difficult to rinse the underparts. Also the pool needs a handrail to get down the stairs into the pool. A separate hot tub would be awesome on the second level where the sitting area is. Also, I don’t think our microwave worked and we didn’t use the Keurig because they accumulate mold if not cleaned correctly!

The two young ladies have miscommunication issues. They will tell you one thing and another will tell you different. I’ve dealt with a Gentleman and he was way more pleasant than these two other girls. Didn’t get a name but he let me pick my room and he was a good person upon greeting for the corporation as that should be it. The other two ladies not a good look for their attitudes.

Parking on bottom but on top is okay but times you can’t find parking

The room was small. However, for a solo traveler like me, it was perfect. The bed was comfortable. The shower--fantastic. The room had a mini-frig and a microwave and working Wi-Fi. Within walking distance of Fry's.

The mini-frig and the microwave, although clean, had a smell, and they do not provide housekeeping during your stay. You can, however, ask for more towels, toilet paper, etc. from the 24/7 front desk.

Honestly, even though this is a no frills motel, the staff was very nice, the ease of check in and out was great! The room was very comfortable. The value for the money was also very nice. True the train is loud at all hours of the day/night, I wore ear plugs and it was fine. Make sure to see if you can get a room on the hill, you won’t hear the traffic of Route 66. The only thing I may change for the better is make the remote a bit more “modern” like with a guide so you can choose your channel or program easier rather than just pressing up and down. It seems the tv has that capability because it’s powered by fire stick/amazon, typically there is a corresponding remote for that. I wasn’t staying there to watch tv anyway, but it’s my only issue. Otherwise a cute little, clean motel, with very friendly staff. Totally worth it for the price. I would stay there again!
