Location was excellent and service wonderful. Everything was organised and spotless and hosts went out of their way to accommodate. I recommend this as a place to stay and would certainly stay there again.

The room was really warm and we couldn't open the windows enough to cool it down. There was no fan, and we didn't realise that the radiator was on full until the morning. We are used to sleeping in a cool space with open window, and I'm sure that if we had asked for a fan, one would have been provided, but it was the middle of the night by the time we realised that we were really hot, and the morning before we realised that the radiator was on. This is easily sorted and next time we stay, we will check the radiator and ask for a fan :)

This was a lovely property , conveniently located for the Cathedral, where we attended a wedding and convenient for all the shops and restaurants in the town. Parking was next to the property and easy. The property is very cute and cosy and the furnishings and fittings were of a very high quality. The quality of the sheets, bedding and towels were excellent and everything was very clean. It was lovely to have the small sitting room and the kitchen had everything we needed for a short stay. We would happily stay again.

There were a few things which we would have liked to have had but which would not deter us from staying again. 1. We prefer firmer mattresses 2. Those who used the main bathroom/shower room commented that it would have been better if there was a blind over the window as they felt a bit exposed, especially at night and a bathroom stool/cabinet would have been helpful to put things on

The location is in the middle of nowhere, but it was close to where we needed to be. In between the rooms is a counter top with lots of breakfast selections of cereal, toast, chips, muffins, snacks. There is also a mini fridge with drinks like milk, butter, juices, carbonated drinks for a fee. I am severely lactose intolerant and David had prepared lactose free milk which was delicious and vegan butter which was so kind and considerate. I loved everything about the place. David and Richard went out of their way to get me things that I needed and couldn't get due to lack of transportation and time constraints. It is newly renovated and kept very clean; made you feel like you were at a hotel but a nice comfy cozy hotel. There was a personable touch and we were always treated warmly. The pillows and blankets and mattress were just right as well. I would definitely book to stay here again.

The only think I didn't like was the location, but that can't be helped. We needed to be there close to the hotel where the competition was but it was a short enough distance to Gatwick airport and to where we needed to be.

Location to Gatwick. Quiet and good parking. Comfortable bed. Welcoming owners. Good breakfast. Extra bathroom supplies for guests who may have forgotten things. Clean towels and bedding.

Second time we have stayed. Personally I would like a collapsible table in the room to make eating breakfast easier. For two people the small table by the arm chairs is a little low and small. The desk is taken up with tea and coffee making gear. The decor is good but the skirting boards could do with a good recondition to make them look a higher standard- wall paint on some. There are areas of black mould in the shower room. These a small criticisms but would raise my rating from good to excellent.

We were really impressed with Oak Tree Lodge. For us it was pre airport stop to avoid a very early start. Pricing was very much in line with other big airport hotels which are often very basics and clinical. Oak Tree Lodge was anything but! Lots of lovely little touches, like scrabble to play in the room, sleep mist to spray on pillows, plenty of snacks available and much more. David greeted us when we arrived, who was really friendly and gave us a couple of recommendation for pub/restaurant for dinner. We also organised airport transfers with Oak Tree Lodge, we were met by an also very friendly Richard right on time, and delivered to our terminal within approx 15 mins. Our stay at Oak Tree Lodge was really wonderful, and completely removed the stress of an early airport run. We will no doubt be back, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.

Ten minutes from Gatwick Airport in quiet neighborhood. David greeted us on our arrival and was a great host. Room was very clean and comfortable. Lovely shower/bathroom. Snacks and beverages available right outside the room. A few restaurants in walking distance

Unfortunately for us, it was our last night in England and we had early flight out next morning. Af, ter a long day sight seeing, we checked in, went to dinner and then to bed. Out very early the next morning. We didn't really get to enjoy the nice property

Everything. The owners are very welcoming and the facilities top notch. The lodge is very convenient for Gatwick Airport and transport arrangements to/from the airport are without fault. A pleasant bonus is a goodie bag in the car on returning. Contains snacks a a bottle of water. This is the 2nd time staying at Oak Tree Lodge and it is now firmly my choice when flying from Gatwick.

Absolutely nothing could have been better

beautifully designed, easy to find. every small detail considered . very comfortable bed and pillows. totally private and although conveniently near the airport completely silent. help yourself breakfast right outside the room and very reasonable price . a wonderful find for anyone travelling from Gatwick

The room was beautifully decorated & had lots of very nice, thoughtful touches. The mini kitchen area was great too, with a small fridge & snack & drink options. As I had a very early start to get to Gatwick airport, they had kindly made me up a great breakfast, to either eat in the room or to take away with me. The bed was large & comfy. The curtains were thick, so it was nice & dark to sleep in the room, which I need. I arrived in the early afternoon, so sat outside in a lovely sunny spot, reading. I walked for 10 minutes to a lovely pub along the road, for a great evening meal.

Personable service and extreme efficiency in dropping off and pick up from airport,plus car stored safely within a compound next to accomodation.They provided a very nice packed breakfast for us to eat at the airport and also bottles of water in our car when we returned. Little things like this make a difference.

Ventilation could be better in bedrooms as windows were wet with condensation,but not a great worry when the room was spotless.
