The Azoris Angra Garden - Plaza Hotel provided a very enjoyable stay for me and my friends. The hotel is classic, clean and very close to many shops, restaurants and places of interest. Staff at the hotel were awesome, provided warm greetings and were attentive. We very much enjoyed the hotel's lobby bar, with knowledgeable and friendly bar staff. The hotel's location in the Praça Velha is ideally situated and in a charming area of Angra. The rooms, breakfast and pool/hot tub facilities were clean, organized and made for a wonderful stay. I can honestly say that there was not anything that I and my friends did not like about our stay. There was a temporary technical issue with TV and internet access in the rooms for a short time, but maintenance staff were able to take care of it quickly.

The location is just perfect, in the main square of the town. All attractions are easy to reach. My room had the balcony towards the wonderful municipal garden, so the atmosphere was very quiet, with just the birds singing all day long. The staff is very kind and helped me every time when needed.

The only less satisfactory point was the breakfast: every day the same and, even more disappointing, no vegetable except for a few lettuce leaves and some fried tomatoes. Nothing else...

Great location in the center of the old City, close to museums and Port. The staff was very nice and professional. In the restaurant facing the beautiful Duke of Terceira Garden they serve great food at a reasonable price and a fabulous breakfast. Although right in the middle of Angra it was very quiet. If it were'nt for the unpleasant experience of my first evening I'd give the hotel at least 9 points.

I had a bad start as I wasn't given the room I had paid for (premium room). The room they gave to me just had a very small window high up at about one and a half meter from the floor! To look out of the window I had to stand up on my toes on a wooden step. After my flight being late and no taxi at the airport I was too exhausted to complain right away. Nevertheless I got another room overlooking the garden the next day.

Great location. Loved the live music across the street in the plaza on a Sunday night. Nice to have a rooftop to sit. The breakfast is exceptional, and very well presented with regional fare. The gardens are gorgeous and so well maintained. We loved having a garden view from our room.

The only downside is parking (some distance away, typically), if you rent a car. I can walk without any problem, but it would be difficult for someone with mobility problems.

The included breakfast was very good, but also very typical. The fresh orange juice was a perk and the garden view was an added bonus. The hot food choices were exactly the same all six days and with so many close-by breakfast restaurants, your hotel could probably do more to “distinguish” itself. Not a requirement since the breakfast was fine, but here’s an opportunity to step up.

The two-story drapes in our bedroom and loft, and in the living area were barely wide enough to cover the windows so my daughter felt there wasn’t any real privacy from the rooms across the street. The dark hallways leading to the pool and spa area are not well marked and feel in inviting.

I enjoyed the garden-side room with small balcony. I enjoyed the hot tub. I enjoyed the breakfast area, with its varied options, including the milk for coffee, (not offered in cafes in the city) And I enjoyed the hotel restaurant.

Though I spent most of my time on my computer, (and thus wouldn't have watched much TV), it would have been nice if it had worked. But as you see, it was quite minor for me.

I loved the staff!! Specially the lady responsible for the breakfast ( I think her name is Carina) she was so sweet, so caring, always tried to make us feel good and welcome as she said in portuguese “ quero que se sintam como se estivessem em casa “ 🥹 i loved it!

Loved this hotel! The staff was excellent and very friendly. The breakfast was superb and it begins at 5:00 am which is fantastic if you have an early morning departure. We had dinner at the hotel and the food was great and reasonably priced. The location is ideal being right in the center of Angra but quiet especially if you have a room facing the beautiful gardens. The room was a decent size and they have a fridge and tea kettle which I love to have in a room. Not all places do.

Very good external soundproofing. The decor is very cool, room is spacious (and I had a gorgeous view out to the gardens behind). I also really liked the toiletries provided. Breakfast has a nice range and variety. Location is amazing. Staff are excellent - extremely friendly and helpful, and even memorised my name (seems small, but makes a huge difference). Gym is a little run down but plenty of equipment for a decent workout (I was actually surprised at how big it was). The pool and jacuzzi are small but clean and a nice temperature. Happy hour every day from 6 to 7 is a nice touch.

Internal soundproofing was bad - you can hear the noise from other rooms very easily. Also, the sauna wasn't working, which is a shame as I like to use the sauna after a workout. The health suite area in general could use some aesthetic renovation. Otherwise, only a couple of suggestions for improvement - a bathrobe would elevate the level of comfort and would be useful for using the pool and jacuzzi. There was only tea in the room, coffee would have been nice.

This is an excellent spot in the middle of Angra do Heroismo. Staff are nice and the breakfast is good. The hotel has everything one wants for a visit to Terceira island.

No parking at the hotel, but there is both paid and free street parking nearby.
