This is a beautiful hotel with no Wiley decorated rooms in a central location. The room was very clean and housekeeping did a great job. The beds were comfortable and the room temperature at the end of April was comfortable when we turned off the A/C at night. They provide public transport tickets, water (it would have been nice to have 4 bottles not 2 though as we were 4 people) and coffee/tea is replenished every day.

The valet parking was very expensive. Almost 63 CHF per day is too much. We chose not to use it. The room we had was overlooking a side alley and every day at around 5 am a garbage truck came and made a lot of noise for a good 15 minutes. I woke up every single morning because of the noise. Otherwise it was a quiet location.

The property met my expectations. It was a beautiful hotel. I loved our rooms and the facilities in them. The beds were very comfortable. I appreciated the fact that breakfast was complimentary in each room, and we enjoyed having breakfast at the hotel. The gym surpassed my expectations. It had the equipment my family and I needed.

I did not like the exorbitant cost of valet parking. We were not informed of the valet charge until we were about to check out. The charge of $60 per night is costly for valet parking. I recommend that guests be informed of the charge upon arrival.

The staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel decor is beautiful and rooms are so lovely, with a huge comfortable bed and fluffy pillows. Location is superb for both French Quarter and Garden District.

The destination fee is a bit steep for what you get included. I only used the Jazzy pass two days (total value of about $6 maximum) and the bar was closed a couple of days I was there due to refurbishment, so I couldn't use the drinks tokens. Everything else included in the destination fee were things you'd expect to be included in the hotel price anyway.

The location was so convenient to transport, restaurants and areas I’d want to see. This hotel repurposes a former newspaper headquarters and incorporates whimsical reminders of that past in its decor throughout the building. It feels solid with plenty of inviting spaces to relax. And the room was quiet and very comfortable. A good combination of vintage flair and modern conveniences.

Some of the hallways looked a bit gloomy and deserted, and the directional signs to numbers, elevators and such weren’t always easy to see.

Character, style, high ceilings, location, food.

I was charged a “resort fee” for my stay. I’ve stayed at several resorts in my life - I would not include this hotel in my list of resorts. I spoke with the front desk regarding this title and was told it’s considered a resort because guests are given a daily pass for the street cars, and a welcome drink (punch). This is my second stay at the Eliza Jane, I likely will not return to this location due to this unexpected and unwarranted fee.

Good location, live music, on site restaurant and bar, rooms were cleaned daily, great ambience in the common areas, Refreshing fruit filled water as you come in from the heat, how far step especially valet/bellhop Tyler. He was Johnny on the spot if we look like we were lost confused or trying to figure something out. Unfortunately, on the last two days of our stay, he was off work so we did not reward him financially as we had planned.

Even with the lamps on the low lighting in the room, made it difficult to see it would’ve been different. Had there been a window to the outside to bring in some natural light?. There was only one small trashcan in the bathroom. Since I had to step over the tub to get in the shower, at least one grab bar would have been helpful/ reassuring. Also only one hook in the bathroom, which is fine if it was only one person, but with two of us if someone hung a robe or a towel, there was no room for the second person to put anything.

The hotel and room were fantastic. Lots of efforts put into the design and how to make people feeling comfortable. Before even asking the receptionist knew the room on the 1st floor would have been a bit noisy and he accommodates me and gave a very quiet room which was amazing.

While the room was perfect in terms of comfort and I felt it there not a lot of light coming inside. The check out is at 11am, and I asked to leave the room at 12pm and they said it would have cost $25 which seems a bit too much for only 1 hour given what I paid for the stay already. So a bit more of flexibility here it would have been great.

The location was wonderful. We walked just about everywhere, with the exception on the Garden District. For that we took the cable car. The restaurant and bar were good. The bed was comfy as well.

The property could use some TLC, especially in hallways. The carpeting has spots on it and there were some places that just needed some general cleaning. In the bar and lobby, it seemed very clean, and you could see staff keeping it looking good. It is rated four stars, and you don't expect to see things not kept up.

The hotel was very nice and in a great location. We had a corner suite and it was nice and roomy.

My husband was using a cane at the time and our room was quite far from the elevators. There were elevators that would have been closer for us to use but if we used those we also had to go down 2 flights of stairs to get to our room. Also there wasn’t an ice maker close to our room location. I had to go down to another floor. I should have asked for another room.

Everything was great! Quiet, comfy room; wonderful common spaces; friendly bartender; helpful concierge. Couldn’t ask for more!

Can’t think of anything. It was a quick girl trip for the theatre. We wanted easy, friendly and safe. We got great suggestions from the concierge for an early dinner, and the valet attendant helped us get a pedicab to the theatre since transportation was difficult during carnival parades. Everything went without a hitch. Kind of magical, right?!
