1. The environs. Rooms are adjacent to (and overlooking) the Golf course with trees and bird life and easy access. I went for a walk/cycle through the golf course late afternoon - lots of trees, mini lakes and birdlife - herons, spoonbills, swamp hens and waterbirds. So beautiful and quiet despite main road. 2. The room was a nice size - not too small with space to sit and read and a small foyer/entryway containing the kitchen so it was not visible from the lounge/bedroom. PLenty of room to put my Bicycle into the foyer. That was a bonus. 3. Little coffee table and sofa chairs to sit and read and look out over the beautiful Tree lined golf-course. Wonderful!!!! 4. Very reasonable price compared to other options ($145 night) although the cost of accommodation these days is hard to bear for longer stays. 5. Bed was comfy/supportive. A bad bed and an overly thin/soft pillow can ruin a nights sleep and is a holiday destroyer.

1. crusty spilt milk in the microwave wasn't cleaned from previous guests - this GAVE ME AN UNEASY FEELING because it made me wonder if the rest of the room was cleaned hygIenically. 2. internet access was slow to failing at times - this is very important because many people like me work online when we are away. 3. Wonky old desk chairs need fixing - i had a little anxiety i might be blamed if they broke under my weight (100kgs).

The place was very clean and comfortable and allowed us to have our dog which was amazing. The price was reasonable too. The hotel is situated right next to the golf course.

The shower pressure is so weak that I could not wash my hair. Also, it took about 3 minutes for the water to be warm, and then it went to very hot. When you add a tiny bit of cold water, it takes awhile for it to kick in and then the shower gets cold so it’s really hard to maintain the water temperature. When I arrived to reception, I was told that I had to pay an extra $30 for my Dog, even though after using Booking.com, I rang to confirm the price and that my dog was allowed to stay there for that price. It was lucky that I had sent a message to the hotel previously, so that I had proof that this was done, otherwise I would have had to pay extra. The exterior/gardens of the hotel is very daggy & looks neglected.

Staff were lovely, we stayed for our wedding so it was super convenient. The bed was really comfortable.

The room wasn’t very clean, you could see dirt and dust and things were kind of falling down in the room. The spa bath looked dirty so we didn’t use it. But we did go into some of our guests rooms and they were a lot nicer, so maybe we just got the older room

It was a great price considering we literally booked the same day, when we went to check in my partner had told them that we had young kids and asked if we could be on the ground floor, the reception staff were incredibly accomodating & gave us a ground floor room. It was a short pleasant stay, the beach/lake & park is not even a far drive, kids fairly enjoyed the location because of this too, also a great view ovelooking the golf course, the kitchen was basic but no need to use a stove or oven, we had a microwave, kettle and bar fridge, so that was fine for a nights stay, can't fault it at all.

If i could say something

The room was perfect the size of the room was massive, the bed I wish I could have taken it home it was unbelievably comfortable. Bathroom had a nice corner spa which we weren't expecting. The pool we swam in all afternoon was perfect slightly heated did not want to leave.

Air-con took forever to get cold but once it was working it was amazing. The dust in the bathroom vent needed a clean.

Nice clean room with floorboards. TV, microwave, kettle & aircon provided and worked well. Reception were lovely and check in was super easy. Shower and water pressure also great. Nice view of veggie garden & golf course where we were. Value for money was so great, especially since we had our small dog with us, so hard to find pet friendly accommodation! Location is good if you have a car, we went into Wollongong to get dinner. I was worried about the stay due to other reviews but we honestly enjoyed our one night stay!

There was a light on outside our room on the porch all night and it was very bright and shone into our room, the curtains unfortunately didn't block it out entirely, and we could hear the traffic on the main road all night, both made it quite hard to sleep. But we would have preferred that than being placed near the rowdy (we assume attending a wedding) guests.

Was very easy to find and there was enough parking and it was quiet and enjoy our staying for one night. I would like to come back for more nights since and friendly stuff.

Location and view of the golf course. Close to everything and fairly quiet despite staying on New Year’s Eve. Love the pet friendly as it allow us to bring our furry babies. Excellent idea!

No internet reception and wi fi didn’t work on tv so couldn’t watch Netflix or anything from the internet. Bathroom wasn’t very clean and door was very noisy and used to get stuck. No ironing board though there was an iron.

Clean bed,quite comfortable, renovated bathroom. Very helpful staff. We asked to change the first floor room to the ground. Not available in Golf Place but available in Lakeside Place. That was a big help, since my wife cannot climb the stairs and I was silly not to book ground floor in original booking.

Well, it made worn of impression. No tea spoons for example, I had to ask for kettle. Wardrobe not accessible, too close to bed. It was a sister place to Golf Place (Lakeside place). After all, not critical, but places like that cost usually under 100 bucks.

I was surprisingly impressed by the room based on the price. I literally chose it cause it was the cheapest option. The room was spacious, lovely views of the golf course. It had good water pressure in the shower. Great smelling body wash, and the room was clean. Breakfast was included- what a bonus! Best hash browns ever! The restaurant area needs help in design and styling. Feels like a little bit of op shop. The lady at reception was really lovely and welcoming.

Can’t really fault it. You get what you pay for.
