The only issue I had with my stay was failing to notice that I hadn't booked an en suite room. On reflection I could have asked to see if one was available but I was so fixated on walking the West Highland Way that I didn't enquire.......and the shared bathroom was next to my room anyway. Otherwise my 3 night stay was superb, the food, staff and bar were all excellent and the veggie breakfasts were by far the best on the way up to Fort William.

Friendly and helpful staff - especially Jodie who was great. Decent food and nice to have the option to eat in the private beer garden if a resident. Room was clean and comfortable and good value. Only issue in the room was awkward placement of electrical sockets - for some reason even though there was a kettle in the room there was no socket or extension near it to use so and to put the kettle base on the floor. Would be easily corrected as well.

After a first stage of the WHW, this inn is 800m off the route, but absolutely worth it. We had two rooms with a shared bathroom, but it basically meant we had the whole floor for us. There a is nice garden behind only for hotel guests, so we could have a drink outside rather than in the pub. The dinner and the breakfast are excellent. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Location is lovely. The building is beautiful. The rooms are very clean and the cleaning lady was so helpful and nice but tbh other than seeing two bar staff when I first arrived she was the only connection to the place I had.

Some disorganisation generally and lack of communication. Had issues with booking and also when I arrived. Felt very apart from the bar staff so didn’t feel could go to them for anything. When the other rooms had all men in on second night because there’s no one in the building unless you leave and walk right around to bar, me and my little girl felt quite unsettled. Also could hear them all so clearly in our room every-time they went to toilet or shower etc so my little girl didn’t get a great sleep. I didn’t realised when I booked the bathroom was shared otherwise I wouldn’t have booked to be honest. My bedroom was very small and had to boil kettle on the floor as no plug on the unit.

This Inn is a brilliant stay in a beautiful location with fantastic friendly staff and amazing food in the restaurant, unfortunately I had to cut our stay short due to family illness (The Inn was very understanding), but am looking forward to planning another visit. This is now my goto location for walking in Scotland and I couldn't recommend this Inn highly enough, outstanding!

There really is absolutely nothing to dislike about our stay only positives.

Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Although booking restaurant in advance is recommended, they will attempt to provide a table where possible. If no tables are available, they will offer to book a table with a neighbouring restaurant on your behalf. Rooms are very clean and tidy. Fresh towels provided daily.

Access to bathroom wasn't within confines of bedroom. Other guests can access bathroom via communal hallway. Wifi connection was intermittent, but sustainable enough for occasional browsing.

After a day's hiking, it was the perfect stop. Felt very welcomed, and the evening meal was fantastic. Breakfast was great. We had a twin room which was also good had everything we needed, the only thing I would say that I forgot to mention was the door could do with some wd40 as was very squeaky but that's nothing really.

Jody introduced us to our rooms with politeness and humour. We decompressed with a drink at the bar where Jody continued to be an excellent host. Then the locals arrived to bring us good cheer. We also enjoyed a fine meal delivered to us in the garden. The 2 rooms connected by the balcony was a bonus.

I discussed this question with the family and we unable to find any constructive criticism.

Lovely little Inn. Both rooms were very comfy and we liked the shared balcony. Had dinner in the Inn, which was delicious. Staff all very helpful. Great location for our travels to the Highlands. Lovely cafes in the village too.

One of our rooms had no tea, milk or biscuits. Not a major problem and I am sure we would have been restocked if we'd asked.

On-site pub was great.

The only available facility for a hot breakfast prior to 9 a.m. was the Winnock Hotel, which was terrible as the Clachan does not serve food at that time. The only other restaurant open at that time would only serve breakfast to their guests, not walk-ins. Clachan should make an arrangement to ensure their guests can be served prior to 9 a.m.
