Amazing old building — great atmosphere. You feel like in a movie. Great location far away from road, so you don't hear city and car noises. Good beds.

Windows are a disaster — when it's windy, they make noise throughout the whole night and you can't sleep properly. They should be fixed. Bathroom is another disaster — the shower cabin couldn't close because it was broken, and toilet was leaking. Disaster number three is breakfast: very basic, the cheapest products, chemical coffee from the machine, milk was spoiled. You better rely on your own food.

Amazing place to stay, old monastery, where the rooms are the same as the monks used in 17th century. Basic but comfortable rooms, volcano views, ocean views, helpful staff.

Really the only thing is the male bathroom situation.. You really need to fix it up. Tiny showers, water leaking into the whole floor, none of the toilet doors closing properly (not to even mention locking!). Otherwise I would give 10. Female bathroom seemed much better.. Also a tip for travellers, no impact on the rating: there is a reason why this place is affordable, don’t be like a group of German ‘kids’ who tried to take all the bread, ham and cheese from breakfast to prepare their full day snacks and lunch. It’s breakfast included, not an all inclusive. Happy to see the breakfast lady telling them off for that.

This is an amazing place on pico Island. An old convent with several rooms. I like the area very much. Very friendly and helpful staff. I was lucky there was a local fado cincert in the convent while my stay. I was allowed to parc my bicycle insidethe convent The breakfast is simple and good 👍

Unfortunately, there is no kitchen to use.

The hostel is situated in a wonderful location, the monastery is charming. The double room was clean, spacious and beds very comfortable! We also had a nice view on the ocean. Finally, we really liked to be in Sao Roque: we found this position convenient to visit the island and very authentic. You can also swim in the natural pools in front of the hostel!

Being an ancient building, it is true that it can get quite noisy at night. Also, we were a bit disappointed with the breakfast, that was quite basic - with little choice. But overall would recommend !

Unlike typical hostels no refrigerator or kitchen access We were there off season with no car and none of the restaurants within the immediate area were open for dinner Thankfully Spar market offers sandwiches

The Staff was very friendly and helpful! The garden inside was very tranquilizing and beautiful. Best location! Clean facilities. Large locker! Price was great!

Breakfast was limited but it was still okay! Shower could have been better. Room was pretty cold in the night but they serve extra blankets.

The staff is amazing. I loved them. The location is excellent. Value for money is very very good.

The upper bunk bed makes terrible noises. It skeaks very much. I recommend that you invest in wooden beds. That would change the game completely.

A hostel in a monastery?! Worth staying for that alone. The staff was very accommodating, the hostel was clean, there’s free breakfast, and it’s close to the city center.

The breakfast wasn’t anything to write about and there no kitchen for guests. Other than that I have nothing negative to say.

We loved the location, the views were great and the building beautiful. The breakfast was included in the price, although it was very very simple. The rooms were very clean, and quiet, and the bathroom well equipped. The staff is helpful. If I come back to Pico I will definitely stay here again.

There's wifi only in one small living room by the entrance. Also some of the mattresses were a bit uncomfortable. -Again this is the cheapest place in the whole island so not much to complain for the relative price.
