The warmth, courtesy and helpfulness of the staff was among the best I have ever experienced. A big shout-out to Sharron, she went out of her way to make sure the stay was as pleasant as it could be. Breakfast was excellent, with a good range of choices on the menu. The location in downtown Limerick is also perfect if you want to explore the city. Our bedroom, though located on the first floor and therefore close enough to street level, was quiet and well insulated from the noises below. The Bedford will definitely be my first choice go-to for any future stays in Limerick.
With regard to the hotel, there was nothing I didn’t like and I cannot recommend it highly enough. But be aware that Limerick unfortunately suffers from a range of social problems, some of which are on display around the city centre - and not for the squeamish. A crying shame for a city that otherwise has so much to recommend it.

Great location! We liked walking around the city center. Easily accessible parking garage across the street and great breakfast included. The rooms were modern, clean and well-appointed. Very comfy bed. Definitely recommend.
We had an issue with the keyless entry pad on our room randomly not working, but the staff was very quick to respond and change the battery. They had it fixed in no time. We appreciated the quick efforts to resolve the issue, and they offered us complimentary wine in the lounge while we waited on the repair. Overall, it was an amazing stay!

Perfect experience from start to finish. Sharon at reception was so helpful in arranging some birthday surprises for the room, and couldn't have been more welcoming on arrival, reserving a table for breakfast for us and explaining the carpark voucher/discount (the carpark is not on site, but directly across the road) Extremely clean and cosy room and facilities. Breakfast was delicious. We were so well looked after by Denise (I think) and our waiter. I can not stress enough how impressed I was with every staff member, very engaging, very chatty, very helpful. It's the little things that matter in hospitality and they have this down to a tee...
If I had one thing, it would be that I found the bed to be soft and a bit lumpy. I know it is a subjective thing, as I like a firm mattress.

Perfect location and a very clean and well mainted establishment. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. A slight issue with the in-room safe was dealt with quickly, without any fuss. Our room was spotlessly clean and in an excellent decorative order. Our bed was very comfortable and was made-up with good quality linen.
It's difficult to critique an establishment when we found all areas, hospitality, comfort and decor, to be first class. Even the basement lounge was great, with comfortable lounging seats, TV and a complimentary bar.

I recently stayed at this accommodation and had a fantastic experience. First and foremost, Sharon at reception was exceptional—by far the most accommodating, polite, friendly, and helpful staff member I've encountered in any hotel. The breakfast was excellent, and as a Coeliac, I was particularly impressed by how the breakfast staff went out of their way to accommodate my dietary needs. The room itself was spotless, cozy, and welcoming, offering a perfect retreat after a day out. The location couldn't be better—right in the heart of the city, making it incredibly convenient for exploring. Highly recommend! Will definitely stay here again

The room was spectacular. The decor was just beautiful. The parlour was a real little gem. Just a lovely escape from the room if needed. All the little extras like wine, chocolates. You would not get that anywhere at no extra cost. You're hostess Sharon is your biggest asset. What a wonderful employee and person. Breakfast was outstanding with a fabulous variety of food. I can't wait to come back for a return visit.
Be great to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room but to be honest the parlour makes up for it and having the take away cups is a fantastic idea.

I throughly enjoyed my stay for 2 nights at The Bedford Townhouse. Prior to my arrival, I was contacted by Sharron just to confirm arrival times, etc... then had the pleasure of meeting her personally when checking in... and she was amazing!! Nothing was too much trouble. Sharron ensured that everything was perfect upon my arrival, and during my stay. The room was extremely comfortable, luxurious, and spotlessly clean. I had a view of the 'pedestrian mall' below my window, and it was charming. There was also a lounge on the lower level ( specifically for guests of the hotel with great amenities...as well as a gym and a steam room ). Hotel entry requires 'coded card' use, as well as all of the other guest areas within the hotel, which makes you feel secure and safe. The hotel itself was a quick walk from the train station... and it is located in a wonderful 'pedestrian' area in Limerick. There were wonderful cafes, restaurants, pubs, and shops just steps from the front door of the hotel. The cafe/restaurant connected to the hotel provided an extensive breakfast menu which was definitely worth the added price when booking. The hotel was also very close to the waterfront, and many of the major 'tourist attractions' in Limerick. It was the perfect place to stay while in Limerick... and I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to experience Limerick.
Nothing at all .... it was all perfect. There isn't anything that I would change.

The Bedford Townhouse didn't meed our price expectations, because they exceeded them! What a beautiful and interesting place to stay! We were in the King's Room. It was gorgeous! The beds were so comfy. The pillows were perfect! We enjoyed some time visiting with other travelers in their Parlor. Sharron at the front desk was delightful. This place was well thought out. There was a personal note to use in our room! I ordered a special breakfast, and the chef delivered! Very impressive!
The fire alarm waking us at 10pm wasn't so great. We were in bed by 9pm that night. I'm so glad it was a false alarm, but ... we did get to meet more of the guests. :D

The room was in a very quiet location which meant that I managed to get a great night's sleep. The B&B location was brilliant - right at the heart of the city centre. I also really enjoyed the breakfast - the food and drink offered really set up well for the day. Also special mention to Sharron who wrote a personal greeting card as I entered into the room and for recommending us to eat at the Locke Bar for dinner - this is an excellent place with Irish music and dancing.
The views from the rooftop garden were a little disappointing - I was expecting to see views outside of some sort but I didn't mind it that much. Be aware of the parking fee but it's great that a discount was offered at the nearest car park.

The hotel was phenomenal. Great location, quiet, comfortable, chic, well laid out and one of the better hotels I have stayed in in quite some time. The breakfast was amazing and the staff went above and beyond!! Great bed, amazing gym! The location was top notch...the river is less than a block away, all the sights are within walking distance and there are two great eateries (bistros's) next door. I would highly recommend a stay here!
Limerick is having some issues with drugs and migrants in the City centre after dark. We were threatened by two dealing drugs outside the hotel on our final night (one had a knife and one tried to hit my parter with a bottle). Not the hotel's fault, but the Guardi need to put some effort into dealing with what they admitted is becoming a serious problem.
