Really unique stay! decor was very interesting & well styled. We stayed in the Andy Warhol room & was wowed by the size of the room & the stunning floor to ceiling windows. Bed very comfortable. Check in & out times very generous. Great location, a few minutes walk from all the action & not far from Dampoort station. Really good value for money, would definitely stay again & recommend it. Fantastic communication from the host, liked that he left a guide & list of recommendations as it’s always good to hear a locals perspective.

Pillows were a bit flat so it would be nice to have 2 each. Building not the most soundproofed on the inside.

Quaint, but homely. Leonard is very welcoming and had organised some secure off street parking for me next door at a reasonable price (much cheaper than other car parks in the city and nearer!) This house is a huge ongoing project, which Leonard readily admits, but it’s got a pleasing atmosphere. Although breakfast isn’t offered, there is a full kitchen allowing guests to bring and prepare their own. The location is excellent for walking into Ghent, which is a stunning city..

Being really picky, my sheets were not ironed!! I told Leonard that- it’s probably an age thing as I’m a more mature traveller, who when at home, irons everything!

Quatier Leonard must be one of the best places we have ever stayed in! We had an absolutely fabulous time and the room was incredible. The Andy Warhol suite was wonderfully quirky and suited us down to the ground. Clean, spacious and very comfortable bed. It was also close to all of the things that we wanted to do in Gent and close to great breakfast places too - would highly recommend. Leonard also made getting there and checking in very easy which was very helpful for us as we had a delayed Eurostar and were very tired. Thanks for a truly wonderful stay :)

Absolutely nothing!

Rooms were themed to famous artists like Dali or Warhol, so were great fun! They also allowed us to check in early, since the room was available, sp that was also enormously useful as well. Room was comfortable and spacious, and not far from Gent-Dampoort station which most trains stop at anyway. It was also not far from all the attractions, so very useful for any tourist! Enterprising owner also offers breakfast and his own home brews ...at a price of course!

Only peeve I had was the shower not delivering hot water until it was at a certain magical setting which I could never get and which also took a long time to warm up. The shower stall itself was well- constructed. I presume we could share the kitchen, but that was a separate room from ours outside. Large luggage must be lugged up one flight of stairs.

great rooms (we had all rooms on the upper floor), bathrooms were excellent (modern design with toiletries included), clean and large rooms, private parking inside the property yard (extra fee), easy communication with owner

we had to take the stairs to reach our rooms (no elevator), parking was near a wall and we had a neighbor complain that those are not parking places (where we parked) and he could have called the police to have our cars town away

Convenient location to access the centre of Gent. Fascinating themed decor, which the booking.com entry doesn't say anything about. Very spacious room. Lots of info about restaurants etc.

The parking cost extra (not obvious from the booking.com entry(. The teabag selection was almost empty (but we could have asked for more!). The lighting wasn't sufficient to read easily in bed (something we like to do). The street noise was quite bad with the window open.

I liked that the property is artistically decorated, the house is in perfect condition and I think that the repairs they are doing are minimal since they did not affect our stay at the place at any time. Totally recommended place since the host offers you different additional services such as bicycle rental, kayaking, board games, among others. It was definitely a good option.

Quartier Leonard is a fantastic quirky place with rooms themed around different designers and icons. Our host was very friendly and helpful (including in the leadup to our stay), and reading the little information book that he has made is a must and is itself worth the stay. The part about tequila tickled us. This is not a competitor to a sanitised chain hotel but something much better and more interesting. The location is brilliant with most of Ghent's sites less than 10min away.

In my opinion, this place deserves a much higher score than its current average mark on this website. I particularly liked the creative approach concerning the interior design. Our group was staying in two rooms, Marilyn Monroe (spacious and light, with lots of Pop Art / Andy Warhol references) and Salvador Dali. Each one has its own character and its own charm. It is obvious that the owner put a lot of effort in making this place different, as you can feel the artistic twist everywhere. The communication with the host was smooth and easy. He offered a possibility to pre-book a parking lot in the immediate neighbourhood, too (15 euros). This place is walking distance from the heart of Ghent so the location is convenient as well. In addition, it is a pet-friendly place, which was important for us in the context of this trip. Finally, I would recommend Quartier Leonard for its quality/price ratio.

The Marilyn Monroe room overlooks the street so it may get a little noisy. The Salvador Dali room, by contrast, is very calm.

We had a great time spending a few days in the Monroe room. Perfect location! The room is huge with a huge and comfortable bed. Great balcony! I really liked the owner. A nice and smiling guy who told and showed us everything. He also gave us a map-guide to Ghent. The kitchen is shared. The audibility was a bit disappointing.
