Breakfast were delicious . Stunning location . Staff was very kind and helpful when we checked in . Host Derek were very kind and accommodating . Went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable . Recommend

There were an hairdryer but nowhere to plug in in a nearby mirror . But we only stayed 1 night . As this guesthouse only Bed and Breakfast , we suggest to do your shopping before , as there is nothing nearby for food /shops etc . Did not bother us as we went for a wedding at Suikerbossie nearby .

The lodge is placed in a calm and safe residential area, with a lush garden and ample parking space and well placed to visit the wider Cape Town region. The view from the sitting and breakfast room is magnificent, rooms are spacious and swimming pool has a enough space to rest. The owners made sure we had all we needed. Kirstenbosch gardens are very close by, also the drive along Chapman’s peak. Very nice restaurants in the area: Massimo for the best pizza, Dunes for dinner during sunset at the beach, ..

Our room was a placed under the breakfast room so you could hear some noise from that in the morning. And it’s also built in the hill so might feel a bit dark and slightly damp. But it was very clean and had all the luxury you need.

It’s in the most beautiful location with lush, mature gardens and stunning views. The hosts and staff are so welcoming and hospitable and the beds are very comfortable. Hosts were very accommodating re a request to check out later in the day.

Only two very small things which didn’t really affect us as it was such a short stay but would have had it been longer - nowhere to hang any clothes and there was a hairdryer but nowhere to plug it in near a mirror.

The breakfast included was fabulous as we had just landed from the US and were jet lagged and without any food of our own. The views are stunning and the staff are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay immensely. For us, the location was superb as well; we visited the World of Birds and Monkeys, went to the Hout Bay harbor, and Kirstenbosch Gardens, which are all within 15 minutes drive. It's a good spot for a day trip to Simon's Town (45 minute drive), especially if you drive via Chapman's Peak, which is stunning.

Very attentive and super friendly staff. Bridget always had good suggestions and recommendations for shopping as well as activities. Enjoyed every day/ night! Thank you for making out kids feel so welcome and special.

Ceiling in the room would be happy about some fresh paint…but that is it!

Amazing staff, amazing location and view, amazing breakfast.

This feels a little petty but maybe the rusty toilet seat could be changed, a light bulb in the room entrance and less squeaky single beds. As I say petty really as overall absolutely superb stay and would recommend for sure.

The breakfast was good but the kitchen staff took longer to bring the food. The place was good we enjoyed our stay, the host was warm and welcoming. The staff was friendly and helpful, the guy carried our bags from the car to our rooms.

The WiFi was switched off before our checkout time. We were still having breakfast when we noticed that it is off. And there was not enough parking space , but they improvised

The breakfast was excellent and the staff is amazing. To look over Houtbaai while eating a magnificent breakfast is the best start to a day for any traveller. The owner went the extra mile to accommodate our needs and we are extremely grateful to her for seeing the pickle we were in! It is so easy to just love her for her kindness!

Spectacular views, wonderful staff, lovely breakfast. Lilian & Derek are a pleasure and always checking if you’re comfortable and have everything you need.

There were a new days when the water wasn’t working, due to pipe issues in Hout Bay area. It wasn’t a huge issue, but really that was the only let down.
