It is a budget hostel in a renovated Soviet-age building. Customers are most likely working-class people, among them mostly russian and ukranian speaking. You can get a good vibe of a Soviet epoch's community living. Staff is friendly and forecoming. Free unguarded parking in the backyard, you just park along the line of other parked cards in the yard. Family room with private bathroom is spacious enough.

Maybe a bit too little space in the toilet when seated on the toilet, facing right the shower cabin. In general, communal living is an interesting experience but not for everyone. Just know what to expect.

Same as our earlier review. Very colourful residents with mainly latvian, russian and arab languages. Sense of communal soviet living at its best: men repairing their car in the parking lot until midnight, some sitting in general area and discussing politics and life. As a good thing some rooms are being renovated at the moment: new floors, beds. So, our room this time was even better than last time.

This type of hotel is definetely not for everyone but we felt safe and it was good for another 1 night stayover during passing Riga/Latvia.

The lady seemed to be kind and, she was smiling at us, but she obviously did not speak English. But if you would speak Russian you would probably have a chance for a small talk. ;-) But she seemed to be kind to me and the children and, when I woke her up at 5:15am, since the main doors were closed, she even was able to smile at me. The place was clean, except the shower - which seemed to be a bit moldy and rusty around the doors and wall edges. But the beds and the room was clean, with clean towels and there was a fridge in the room, too. The - was, that the room was extremely hot and there was just one small electric fan for the whole room, which did not help us sleep better.

I liked that the place felt quite clean for the price and the reception lady felt kind.

Great value for money accommodation not too far from the City centre (€5 in a bolt taxi or €1 on the tram). The room was spotlessly clean and the cleaning ladies were brilliant cleaning the bathroom and providing fresh towels etc every day. The communal kitchen and washing machine was a real bonus for an extended stay. We would definitely go back if we visit Riga again. The location gives a real taste of Latvian life not the normal tourist view of a City.

The initial greeting from the Receptionist was not warm or welcoming but over the course of our stay it became much more friendly. On arrival at the hotel it appears to be in a very run down area and we had concerns about our car security in the car park but don't let that put you off the locals are honest decent people and we felt very safe throughout our stay.

Newly renovated, well sealed room door prevented most sounds from the outside. Very clean.

Noisy bathroom ventilator that would run all night. Only two chairs in a room for five. Neighbors chatting loudly in the corridor before 6am. No children's playroom despite being advertised on Booking. Staff speaks no English.

The room was ok, there was a table, waredrobe and 3 beds. The bathroom was ok too. In the kitchen it was clean, there was everything you may need for a quick meal, microwave, toaster, cutlery etc. Laundry room was a plus, it's extra paid, you can buy capsules forr 50cent. Internet worked well.

I didn't like the area, it was a bit shady. Connection with the old town was ok though.

This is a great place to stay in Riga, especially if you're just passing through for the night. It offers excellent value for the price - a clean room and shower, a peaceful atmosphere, and a very friendly receptionist. The public transport station is also just a short walk away, making it very convenient.

Location far from the city and not much in the area. For me it was ok because I like long walks everyday. Public transportation nearby to get to the city but you must walk a few minutes to find a transportation ticket.

For that price, you get exactly what's described. Four beds, comfortable enough, a decent bathroom and clean facility. There's probably nothing much nearby. But the airport was a short drive away. That's why I chose this place.

Rooms are clean and they are cleaned regularly. There is a kitchen you can use also. Even though it is quite far from the city center there is a good connection to the city.

The staff doesn't speak English and they were a bit unwelcoming.
