Beautiful old building that is fully renovated with good taste and quality. The room was also spacious and functional. The staff of the hotel earns a special thank you as well. They were all highly welcoming and helpful. Everything went smoothly from early check in to late check out.

Nothing was really an issue for us but it is to be noted that only some rooms have AC at the moment. Also aparhotel doesn’t have a gym or a restaurant of any kind.

Beautiful, comfortable room equipped with anything needed for a longer stay (we stayed five nights). Breakfast was available for an extra €12/person/day. We only purchased it for our first morning; there was enough food for two meals for each of us. The area was very quiet at night. Our room had a beautiful view of Old Town Riga-especially so at night time! Bus stops are only a five minute walk away. We would happily stay again.

Not any fault of the hotel, but there are no restaurants nearby. The closest are at a shopping mall at the train station, about a ten minute walk away. Riga's Old Town is about a 15 minute walk. This was not a problem for us, but it is something to be aware of.

Beautiful hotel, one of my faves that I've ever stayed in. The staff was great and super helpful when I had questions. The spa experience was very good. Even the pillows were a little more robust than the regular hotel pillows, where they just collapse as soon as you touch them; I think I still used two in different configurations but I slept very well. Having a sink, a fridge, etc. in the room was great, and I even ended up needing the washer when I unexpectedly came back from a festival covered in mud lol. Fantastic hotel!

The location is fine. It's about a 20-25 minute walk from the old quarter (or you could take the bus if you're better than me at finding a place to buy a ticket). The surrounding neighborhood needs some investment, but there is a grocery store nearby, plus a huge outdoor market. There is also a DELICIOUS cafe, Katkevich, a 6-min walk away (get the Farmer's Breakfast). So the neighborhood could be better, though I never felt unsafe.

The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and quiet — it truly felt like a home away from home. It had a bathroom and a washing machine, and it was clear that every detail was thoughtfully considered. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, including essentials like oil and vinegar. The refrigerator even had bottled water ready for us. Located right in the city center, everything was within walking distance. The apartment also includes a parking space, which was very convenient. The staff were friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. The apartment is cleaned once a week, but you can request extra cleaning for an additional fee. Using a QR code, you can easily request anything you might need for your stay, from different pillows and an anti-slip mat for the shower to laundry capsules, slippers, a breadroaster, extra coffee, or even surprises like wine and balloons. There’s also a spa inside the aparthotel with a discount for guests. It was a lovely place, and we will definitely come back. Plus, you get a discount on your second booking if you book through their website. A big thank you to the hosts for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable!

Honestly, we couldn’t find anything negative to say about this place.

Check in was easy, there was someone present at all times. The room itself was really comfortable and clean. Had everything you needed and anything extra could be delivered to the room via an app. There was a fridge, washing machine and some kitchen appliances. The TV had Netflix and YouTube app. Bed was really comfortable and room was lovely and warm in December. The location was a little outside the centre, maybe a 10 mins walk, but for the price and high standard of this hotel it was absolutely worth it. The bus to the airport is just a 5 min walk up the road so extremely convenient when landing and departing. The area was quiet but seemed safe. We unfortunately did not get to use the spa facilities as we were only staying a few days but the choices of treatments and packages were good. The staff were really friendly and really helpful! We would definitely return if going to Riga again!

Nothing, everything was perfect!

Lovely old building, but ultra modern inside. Our 2 bed apartment was actually two 1 beds with an interconnecting door, which worked really well for my friend and I. Very stylish, clean, and well equipped apartment with very comfortable beds. Staff were helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. There's a small shop in reception which is reasonably priced, a supermarket a 5min walk and a department store and shopping centre another 5mins on. The opera house is about 15 mins walk which in on the edge of the old town. It's in a quieter part of town but felt safe when walking back at 11pm when it wasn't quite dark. I'd recommend the hotel to others and would definitely stay there again.

Very good location - 10/15 minutes walk distance from the city centre and the railway station, direct city bus from the airport. It's possible to store lugagge before check-in time. Nice appartement, well equipped, very clean. Nice, modern design. Quite calm. Nice staff.

The appartement was on the ground (first) floor with a view on parking - it was quite unpleasant and depriving of privacy (I had to keep my blinds closed all the time). I am used to a large bed, so the bed was too narrow for me, but it can be related to individual habits/preferences.

Location is really excellent! You can reach central market in around 8 or 9 minutes from the hotel.. You can reach the Origa centre / train station & coach station in around 10 or 11 minutes. You can reach the big city park where you can hire boats, pedalos, etc, in around 12 minutes,. Old town in about 20 mins, these places are all very near each other. There are snack & grocery places all around, which is great on your way home after a long day, you pass a Hesburger,Maxima grocery on the street the hotel is on. Walking the opposite way from the city centre when you come out of the aparthotel you can grab a quick bus or trolley down to the likes of the Akropole shopping centre,& the best & biggest lido with it's outside seating with fountains and music, kids attractions.. If you are going to do a LIDO make sure it's this one, stunning building! Train to Jurmala beach - 2 Euros each way from origa centre. Riga F.C around a 30 minute walk from hotel. We were on 2nd floor facing the rear car park which over looks the clinic & the urban van glamping place, we found there was very little street or traffic noise from this position. Hotel was very well maintained & clean with nice decor.. We appreciated that we did not have cleaners annoying us, we'd rather ask for room to be cleaned than have someone imposing on our room. Anytime we wanted anything, it was given, iron, toilet roll, towels etc, You just ask and you get... We had BOTH AC & Fan in our room which was great. Shower had great pressure.Bath was comfy! No problems with water temps. Bed was comfy! Plenty of cupboard space for clothing. Fridge was great! Everything worked! Despite the area being a little rough with a few homeless & drunks around, they were of no trouble at all..We felt safe our whole 3 weeks.

Only annoyance we had was the lovely comfy HUGE bed was in an alcove had walls either side so you could not get out of the bed easily as normal, we had shuffle out of the bottom... People were smoking around the car parking side door entrance to the reception, which when our windows were open came right up into our window so we could smell strong smoke in our room occasionally.

The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable shower and a great fan that helped during the summer heat. We really appreciate the free bottled water and even a small ice cream treat — a thoughtful gesture! The windows blocked out street noise well, which made it easy to rest. Also, the location is pretty central — about a 15/20 -minute walk to the main market and attractions.

The biggest issue was the WiFi: it didn’t work at all during our stay. We called reception about it, but the issue was never resolved and no alternative was offered. This was frustrating given that WiFi was advertised.

We spend 2 nights on Amella hotel this summer and it covered our expectations more than we expected. First of all the hotel was so clean and warm-looking and it was smelling so good! Our room was perfect and no one wasn't bother us. We want to mention the kindness and the help of the personal on everything with asked! Everybody at the reception was very glad to help us with any question we had, they suggested us about restaurants, bars, cruises, the market, souvenirs shops,sights etc. If some day we will come again to Riga, we will be at Amella Hotel for sure!😌

Only a few things there are that we didn't help us. The hotel has a mini bar at the living room by the entrance with drinks, sweets and fast food on a fridge. Also, the hotel is divided into two parts with external doors to the back yard. So, our room was in the second part and if we would like to buy something from the mini bar we must get fully dressed and go outside in the middle of the night to eat something from there. Also, we asked for an iron and there wasn't any available and they gave us a steamer. It helped us to unrinkle our clothes but we would prefer to iron instead.
