I can't say enough good things about our stay at the Brio Beach Inn. Not only was it an amazing beach side property that had chairs for its guests but also a fire pit for the evenings. The staff went above and beyond everyday. The inn keeper gave us a map and circled things she thought we would love, and pointed us in the direction of some hidden gems. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night. We are already thinking of scheduling around this time next year as well.

The location on the beach can’t be beat. A family with little kids, we mostly wanted to play in the water and it was PERFECTION. Beautiful sandy beach just steps away from our door, plenty of seating, and even a fire pit we could use if we wanted. The beach is calm and shallow as well so I didn’t have to worry about my kids in the water.

The rooms are small, and the shower got water EVERYWHERE, despite using the shower curtain to the best of our ability. But neither was enough to deter us from staying again!

The property was on the beach and Brio Beach’s section was well kept. The staff raked the beach and cleaned the tables daily. There was a continental breakfast daily which included items such as bagels, breakfast sandwiches, cereal and fruit. The manager Patricia was exceptional. She made sure our stay was comfortable and exceeded our expectations at every level.

The bathroom definitely needs updating.

It was better than expected as they had Jimmy Dean egg and sausage muffins that you could heat up and they were delish. There was room for about 3 tables in the breakfast room or you could go sit at the gazebo near the beach. We couldn't as it had just rained. The beach and chairs are gorgeous there. Patricia checked us in and was a pleasure to meet. We had everything we needed. Parking is easy, there is no elevator if needed.

Staff was exceptional. They were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We enjoyed having a fire in the firepit on the beach. We also enjoyed being right on the water. The bed was comfortable. We had a one queen-bed room, and it was perfect for two people, and the room had all the amenities we needed.

It was a little dated, but the price was very reasonable, and the room was clean, so no complaint from us.

The location, the price and the cleanliness were excellent.

We were originally given a room very close to the road with loud road noise, and originally the staff at the desk said this could not be changed. As we walked around we saw that many rooms were vacant, so we went back to the desk and finally got a room away from the road, with a better view. This should have been given to us upon first request, rather than making us come back and ask again.

Friendly staff, water view, fire pits, excellent location, wonderful breakfast, brooms and dust pans in each room for the sand is a great touch, nicely landscaped, next door to parasailing/ boat and jet ski rental, what more do you need? Maybe a private beach? They've got that, too. Blissful getaway!

Water pressure.

A little slice of heaven! Location was ideal to spend time in Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore & all the other towns along the way while driving the Lake Michigan coastline. I flagged a few properties of interest before leaving home but didn’t book until I got into town & the minute I pulled in the parking lot I knew I wasn’t going to want to leave! I got the warmest of greetings from all the innkeepers I met throughout my 4 night stay. Essentially, the staff & property share the same warm “Pure Michigan” personalities! While there, I enjoyed in room coffee & a nice variety of choices offered in the complimentary continental breakfast & snacks to take for the day of sightseeing. After my full days on the beaches & exploring, I’d go down to the impeccably maintained beachfront to a chaise to watch the sunset with my cocktail. Bathroom, shower pressure, microwave, refrigerator & bedding were very nice, especially the bedding, I slept like a little lamb! I also REALLY appreciated the plug expanders for all my tech. I usually travel with a power strip & did not need it. There was a combination digital clock right on the nightstand & charging station plus a 6 port, circular charging unit available. One of my side trips was a 4 hr drive from Traverse to A MUST SEE Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in the Upper Peninsula and I figured I’d stay over night up there but I LOVED Brio Beach Inn so much that I just got up extra early with a drive into the sunrise, explored the park, then drove all the way back just so I didn’t miss out on one more night at Brio. On my next visit to the area, I wont even look at other properties. No question, I will be back to Brio Beach Inn as soon as possible!

I had to leave

Be able to walk out our room and go down to the beach and enjoy the sun and fresh air was great. The room was clean and staff was friendly.

The room was very cramped. With 2 queen beds there was no room to set our suitcase and there no chairs in the room. Minor detail the in room coffee machine did not work.

This place is a well kept secret. It is right on the water and very close to downtown Traverse City. The best thing about this place was the care and kindness of the management! Patricia was one of the most amazing, caring people I have ever met. Her staff was also amazing. We are so grateful for all the care and work that they did above and beyond to make our stay wonderful!!
