The hotel is luxurious, spacious and well appointed with quality finishings and furniture. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. They truely focus on the guest experience. The room was very comfortable and had an amazing view of Taipei 101. The Housekeeping team were very good and the room was exceptionally clean. The pool is fabulous on the rooftop and is perfect to cool down, lay out and relax. The view is stunning.

The breakfast is not up to the quality or price of this hotel. You are not offered beverages when being seated which is not major but lacking. There are a vast assortment of options which are all just ok. I believe they need to refine the options and make them of higher quality and standard. A lot of them we tried were bland or lacked depth of flavour, the juices were watery and whole meal bread was lacking. We were in a room next to the lift shaft which is noisy, especially in the morning when many guests are headed to breakfast from 6.30am onwards. I do suggest requesting a room away from the lifts.

Shangri-la never disappointed us! It is built with class and solid facilities. You can identify from everything surrounding you. We had the Premier King room with a view of the 101 and it never gets old. The walk-in closet hosts our 3 giant luggages and our whole wardrobe. There are wall outlets everywhere other than the spots right next to the bed. The king size bed is extra large and super comfortable (though my husband feels it is slightly hard). I constantly return to the bed for some coziness after buffet breakfast. Talking about buffet breakfast, it is bountiful. From bread section (croissants, french bread, egg custards, pancakes, baguettes...), freshly squeezed juices (bitter melon+cucumber, dragon fruit, carrot, watermelon, tomato, orange...), salad bar (smoked salmon, veggies, cold dishes...), Indian food, noodle soup, pan fried dumplings, congee bar...etc. We take our time and enjoy an-hour-and-half long breakfast everyday there. Breakfast serves 6-10 am weekday, 6-10:30 am weekend and holiday. The room services are very responsive to our different daily requests. Whether it is request of specific cleaning time, replenish water & coffee pods... I can go on and on about the comfort of the facilities and the team work at Shangri-la. It truly made us feel at home. We can't wait to come back for our next vacation.

Location is the only thing we feel that it is somewhat inconvenient. We ended up taking taxi to go everywhere, which is fine to us.

The room is spacious, well furnished with armchairs, a bay window seat with a beautiful view to the city, and Taipei 101! Two big windows overlooking the city with morning sunlight streaming in, how fantastic is that! The beds are big and comfortable - good night sleep! Hotel staff in general are good, some are better than others! A big shout out is reserved tor Sarah, who was on lifeguard duty on our last night at the rooftop pool. She went above and beyond to make my family feel special ! Thanks!

Minor observations- Our room is a Grand Deluxe Family Room for 4 adults. It was baffling to find fruits catered for 3 and coffee pods for 2. Two of our four luggages have nowhere to place but on the floor.

We had an upper floor room, the view was spectacular. The location was very good. Shopping, the mall is next door, with a nice food Court. There are local shops and restaurants within walking distance. We had dinner in the Chinese restaurant, the food was very good. We didn't know the Peking Duck was their specialty. Wish we would have known. The breakfast is fantastic do many choices. The room was spacious the bathroom was big the shower was wonderful. The bath tub was very nice. Absolutely loved the bidet. The staff were outstanding, friendly, helpful, truly 5+ stars. I highly recommend.

Limited USB ports, a minor inconvenience. I wish we had been able to stay longer...

This is truly a place you must stay. We celebrated our anniversary and received a wonderful welcome. At the swimming pool, the staff lent us swimming goggles for free. When checking out, I urgently requested a taxi, and they called one right away. When the bellboy was late-for our request was sudden-a female employee carried our suitcases. There were even two very heavy suitcases full of souvenirs, and she carried them without them touching the ground. I saw that even my luggage was treated with care. Thank you so much for all your service. Will definitely visit again!

There really isn't one.

The staff is very sensitive to our needs and takes initiative to resolved our concerns. The Kohler bidet is very useful. The buffet spread is great. But the Japanese section could provide more food. The pastries are good. Fruits very fresh. Hi tea and Cocktail at Horizon room level 36 is relaxing and has a great view of Taipei 101.

But the iPad placed near the washing area is not appropriate. I spilled water as the glass base is too small. And it wets the iPad. Hair dryer is quite weak even at power 3. Room slippers could be thicker and better fit for ladies size.

Location and staff

Booked afternoon tea with front desk- showed up- no booking. Didnt have enough "sets" for 3 of us. Booked on Wed for Sat afternoon. Got told we should have booked Tues at the latest? Weird....Also required to put a $2700 aud deposit when checking in- despite rooms being paid in full. I have always left credit card details at check in but never had that much taken out of my account. The money was returned 24 hours after check out- but still....

Breakfast is awesome with a variety of options including Western, Chinese, Taiwanese and Japanese. It also has organic choices such as various handmade juices. The living environment is comfortable. The room is spacious. The bathroom is also roomy. The staff are friendly and proactive, always ready to extend help. The location is also pivotal with nearby bus stop and youbike. The scene is also grandiose if your floor is high enough that you can view the southern part of Taipei.

There is only one entrance after 9 pm. I guess it's due to CoVid restriction but it's pretty inconvenient when you have to get out at night time. The subway is a bit distant also by walk.

Very attentive staff who looked after you from start to the end of my stay

I was charged twice for my stay - one on the original card which I used to place my reservation via booking.com and the 2nd using a different card I provided at checkout. I was told at checkout that the earlier transaction was only a holding deposit and no charges will be made to the 1st card. When I checked my credit card transactions, both cards were charged.

We were in a Deluxe King room, it was a really good size for 2 adults and 1 child, quite cozy and ample room to spread your things around. Bathroom was huge, shower and bath were clean. As a bonus, we really liked the nook they to place your luggages. Bed was conformatble and so was the aircon. Location was great, quite a few convenience shops nearby and placed to eat. There were 3 metro stations within 10min walk. There were 6 lifts in operation and never a long wait. Rooftop heated swimmng pool was great.

The room was a litte darker than we liked. There were plenty of lights, but mostly around the bed, which left other parts of the room in darkness. Also, on two occassions house keeping wasn't done till 5pm ish and they forgot to replace the coffee and the bathrobes.
