Great location Great bar Great staff

The pillows and duvet were really poor quality. Pillows lumpy and provide no support. Duvet very flat not light and fluffy. The room is not very practical. No wardrobe just a metal hanging thing not even a rail, very limited surface space to put belongings on. Had to live entirely out of my suitcase. Manageable on a very short trip but even staying just two nights I was getting frustrated and couldn’t organise anything. Very small bathroom. Prices had been hiked up by more than double the usual rate due to oasis playing that weekend. £205 a night for a very basic otherwise budget hotel felt a bit robbed especially given how basic the room was. Woken early by house keeping staff constantly in and out slamming a staff only door opposite our room.

We stayed in April. The room was very spacious! Bathroom small but clean and enough space for 1 person at a time. The communication with staff prior to our arrival was awesome, they organised a birthday surprise with balloons, confetti and a message on the mirror for my boyfriend. Location could not be better, very central and within walking distance everywhere! We love the vibes in Moxy hotels, there was a pool table and comfy spaces in reception with plenty of games, books etc. Shoutout to Sage who was very professional and helped us change rooms when our toilet got blocked, she also recommended some places for us to grab a nice drink!

The toilet in our room on the 8th floor got blocked the 2nd day but Sage dealt with it very professionally and was super friendly and approachable. She changed our room without any problems to one on the 1st floor.

Great hotel! Especially want to highlight the staff — incredibly polite, friendly, and patient. Even when we were not the easiest guests, they always smiled and stayed helpful. Always ready to assist and give advice. They truly made us feel welcome and cared for. Thank you for such a warm experience!

The mattresses are super comfortable, and we couldn’t hear any noise from neighbours — great soundproofing! A couple of downsides: the windows don’t open, which made the room feel a bit stuffy at times, and there was a slight smell coming from the carpet. But overall, still a very good experience!

Great location. The hotel is modern and very well maintained. All areas, including the room I stayed in, were clean, tidy, well presented and comfortable. The breakfast offer was exceptional, with a wide range of breakfast foods to suit all tastes. The bacon and sausages were cooked to perfection. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again if work brings me to Manchester, and I will recommend it to my friends and colleagues.

The breakfast orange juice is reconstituted. I would prefer freshly squeezed orange juice to be available, to complement the rest of the exceptional breakfast.

I think this hotel might be my favourite ive ever stayed at. The staff were great, and check in was easy and quick. The rooms were clean and spacious, it had a kettle and tea and coffee. We were able to cast to the smart tv and the wifi worked well. The bathroom was clean, and had the nicest shampoo and conditioner- we literally looked it up and plan on buying some. We didn’t eat or drink so can’t comment on that, but it was great how you could click and collect to your room, and how you could get pizza 24/7. The vibe downstairs was lovely, it was calm, unique and inviting. It was close to deansgate station (less than 10 min walk). There was a sainsburys and tesco express across the road, Nando’s next door. It was less than 5 mins away from Albert hall (which is why we were there). We will definitely be back :)

These are minor things: No fridge in the room Very basic selection for tea and coffee in the room Some building work was being done on the street below our window, which was noisy around 10am- but not the end of the world

The hotel is located in a very nice area of the city, within walkable distance from the city centre and good connections with public transport. The breakfast was good, they had a good variety of options, the room was clean and the bed comfortable. It was quiet at night, so I could rest very well. Also, I was surprised that the thermostat in the room was actually working and you could adjust the temperature based on your preference.

I think the charge for late checkout it's pretty high compared to other hotels I've stayed in, they charge 20 GBP per hour, but if you become a member of Marriott network, you get 1h for free. The wi-fi was pretty slow at times.

Fabulous hotel in a great location right in the hub of everything. Friendly welcoming staff. Great social areas and bar. The room was compact but really nice. Very smart and comfortable. Spotlessly clean. Great TV. Tea and coffee facilities. Smart ensuite with a great shower, toiletries, and towels. Really comfy bed and pillows. Enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Tip for future guests. Take a few of your own hangers if you want to hang lots of stuff up. No wardrobe, just a funky grill with hooks on the wall with a few hangers. Was sufficient for our weekend stay.

Staff were friendly, luggage storage was provided which was handy. Check in and check out were efficient, and times were reasonable. The bed was super comfy and the room had a nice ambience, large TV. Tissues, tea, milk etc provided. The lobby area had a good friendly vibe with some games, lots of comfy seating, a photo booth. Common areas felt clean and safe. Great price, and enjoyed our three nights.

A mini fridge in the room would be great, as well as some more storage as the furnishing was very bare bones. I'm not sure how well the room was cleaned as there were bottle caps under our bed that weren't from us, and one of the glasses had a black mark on it

Incredibly friendly staff, very funky, clean and modern, had everything you need. Greeted with a welcome drink and a friendly outgoing reception team. Late night room service menu was exceptional quality as opposed to the usual microwaved awful food you normally get when kitchen staff have clocked off. When asked at the bar if I could order some hot drinks late at night, they didn’t charge me and instead they threw the doors open on their breakfast buffet machine and told me to help myself to anything I’d like! Mind blowingly generous and courteous. The mix is the only place I will stay when I visit Manchester from now on 🥰

We travelled to Manchester for cataract operation at Optical Express, and to revisit places I used to work at decades ago. Moxy and the wonderful staff (‘Crew’) were perfect! The Crew were extremely friendly and accommodating at all times during the visit, notably in changing our room to one with a walk-in shower as my husband is disabled. The bed was very comfy & love the sliding door on the shower. Breakfast was very tasty. Specific shout-outs to Emily & Mara, and everyone behind the bar! Ps, the ground floor lockers are a fantastic idea, thank you.

Picky point-it would have been really helpful to extend the tea point unit across under the TV as we found we were using the floor to put things on (the bedside cabinet by the window was taken up with my eye drops etc after operation on the day of arrival). Neither of us have good backs so it was a challenge, but the whole experience was great otherwise.
