April 2025
My partner and I spent 4 nights at DysArt hotel in April 2025, and we absolutely loved it. The staff were so nice and made us feel very welcome and safe. Raymond greeted us when we arrived after a long flight, and offered to check us in early which was really kind. Lee made us feel very secure, especially when we arrived back late at night. When we booked this was our only concern because we saw the hotel was situated on quite a quiet road. This was not a problem however as Lee was always waiting for us (in a nice way!) and when we got there we could see that the road was fine. The rooms are beautifully decorated and have everything you need. The pools (plural!) and breakfast areas were really nice and the food was excellent. The location is great! As mentioned, on a quiet road close to the main road, which is great for walking out in the day to the nearby Jason’s or the V&A waterfront, or usually getting taxis to further afield. No complaints whatsoever. You cannot go wrong with this hotel!

This hotel truly surprised me! I stayed there twice, and on both occasions, I was very well taken care of by the entire staff. Everyone is very helpful and polite, and I want to give a special thanks to all of them! They made my stay very enjoyable. The first room (with a bathtub) was spectacular and huge, with a balcony next to it. High-quality bathroom products. Really spacious and beautifully decorated. The second room, a few days later, was a bit smaller but just as high in quality. When you arrive at the hotel, you might be surprised because the front looks like an ordinary house, with no big signs. But inside, it's impeccable and has two swimming pools. There are parking spaces available, and they’ll help you park if needed. It’s about 1.5 to 2 km from the Waterfront and just a few steps from a main street with a supermarket, pharmacy, and restaurants. I would definitely stay there again!
I loved everything!!

The best thing about this place was probably the staff, they were all very nice and forthcoming. Special praise goes to Domingos, who made our stay at the DysArt Boutique Hotel a great experience with his tips, jokes and the nice conversations we had. Also, the breakfast was very good and the “house special” (avocado toast with poached eggs) was delicious. The room was spacious and clean.
Our room was on the same level as the pool and breakfast area, which wasn’t ideal for me. While there was a curtain for privacy, I still felt a bit uncomfortable knowing people outside could see into the room. Next time, I’d request a room on a different level (this time the hotel was fully booked, so a change wasn’t possible). The location is convenient and the area feels very safe for walking around during the day. One thing to keep in mind is that you’ll need to use Uber for getting around after sunset. While I enjoyed my stay, I might explore staying in a more central location, like the Waterfront, on my next visit.

A very pleasant surprise Hotel is in the middle of a housing development was quite hard to find and when we arrived I must admit we started to think we'd made a mistake booking this hotel. How wrong we were!! Friendly and attentive staff with the personal touch, yet also leaving you alone to enjoy your stay. Lovely room with all the facilities we needed. Only a 20-minute walk to the waterfront was ideal too, although there were also bars and places to eat a few minutes away We had a lovely time x
Pool is a bit on the small side We were lucky to get a parking space for our car but as far as we could see there were only 2 spaces However, these were minor issues compared to the positives of this friendly little hotel

This was a nice boutique hotel which we stayed at the end our stay in Cape Town and the Garden Route. It was perfect for a night back in Cape Town before flying back home. We were able to leave our bags in the hotel without any issues whilst we did our last tourist activities before flying. It is the perfect location to see Robben Island and the V&A waterfront area. The staff were lovely and super helpful.
We had a lovely room with a cute patio. The only criticism would be that the room had a blue light on the bedside lights which were very bright. We found it very difficult to sleep with them and ended up having to cover them with a towel.

This is an excellent small hotel near to the Waterfront. Room was spacious and well furnished. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was really good with a wide choice of hot and cold food. The pool is narrow but a decent length and good for dipping or laps.
The location is in a nice area but about a 20 minute walk or 60 ZAR Uber ride from the V&A Waterfront where most of the restaurants are. Better to us Uber or taxi after dark.

We felt like home! I guess it is a former private mention turned into a charming boutique hotel. We also felt like home. Location is great with a bit of sea view. Cute little swimming pool. Rooms are great and showers big. Staff, especially Lee were very friendly and gave very reassuring recommendations and helped a lot. We felt very safe and taken care of!
The shower was not warm enough at some times of the day.

Property was central and close to everything, very clean and had a fantastic experience, the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly throughout my visit. They went out of their way to ensure everything ran smoothly. The place was also spotless, which made a big difference. Clean, well-organized, and welcoming, I couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommended!

What a fantastic surprise this was. The hotel is set in a quiet street a very short distance from the Waterfront. My room (#1) was spacious, spotless and fitted with all amenities needed. The breakfast was great served up to 11am for those who enjoy laying in. Best of all though were the staff! There are not enough superlatives to describe how kind and helpful everyone at the hotel was. Forget about staying in an impersonal huge chain hotel. This small hotel knocks spots of them. Don’t panic when you arrive and see the very non description front door! Press the buzzer and enter this gem of a boutique hotel, you won’t regret it.
Nothing!

Fantastic! So good in fact that we extended our booking. I felt really looked after on my stay. There are 10 rooms at this hotel; mine was very comfortable with contemporary furnishings & features. The staff, management and owner were engaging and very helpful. They made really great suggestions as to where we might eat and that only served to enhance our experience
